PCVR or PSVR?
PCVR or PSVR?
Yeah
Index
PSVR is cheaper and has cool exclusives like Deracine, Moss and Astro Bot.
PSVR has some of the best VR games currently available as exclusives, but the fidelity isn't as good, especially if you're interested in hand tracking. I don't regret getting my headset (no Moves) for 200$, but it's not equivalent.
PCVR has a lot more cool experimental stuff, as well as Oculus' titles, which are getting to be just as good as Sony's first-party games. Plus, all the tech is clearly better.
Basically its the typical PC vs console argument but in VR
Moss is not an exclusive and PC has plenty of exclusives
Depends if you like your games run through a soi filter first.
You can work PSVR with a PC as well, so that makes it a bit more appealing if you really want to play good PS exclusives as well, what few there are.
basically there are a bunch of pretty high quality PC exclusives funded by Oculus, which you can also run on SteamVR headsets with emulation.
Add to that quite a few well made indie titles and racing/sport/space-sims with VR support PC has a pretty sizeable number of exclusives.
Besides some really good games like Astrobot and Resident Evil 7, there are equivalents of all the exclusives on the PC.
>firewall
Onward, Pavlov and Contrators do VR FPS much better
>ace combat
basically a techdemo and PC has VTOL VR, plus actual sims like DCS with HOTAS support
>gran turismo
Again, lots of equivalents on PC with VR support and a lot less compromises to get them to run on the Playstation in VR in the first place.
whered you buy your headset?
Black Friday last year from Gamestop. Lots of places listed it for 200 with Astro Bot and Moss.
you able to play all vr games without the moves and just a ds4? pretty sweet if so, saves me some cash. would you recommend psvr or is it gimmicky trash?
ps5 is not too far so theres hope for better vr games
I wish PC had an equivalent to stuff like Astro Bot, Rush of Blood and Blood & Truth.
Most games work with DS4. Even games like Firewall and Farpoint let you use it as a gun.
You'd only be missing out on games like Superhot, Beat Saber, and Deracine, which, granted, are really good.
I never understood people who call VR a gimmick. It completely changes the way you play games, or at least, see them. Depth perception is a huge deal.
The headset itself can feel a bit like a gimmicky peripheral sometimes, but it's reliable, especially seated.
PSVR
>VR or pseudo-VR
hmmm i wonder
Where my Index Yea Forumsros at?
Mobile VR with only 3DOF is pseudo-VR
PSVR is like Oculus with only one sensor.
Right fucking here. Finally got shipping notice for end of day Friday.
>getting delivered tomorrow but can't pick it up so have to send it to the post office
this sucks man
im just concerned with it becoming paperweight after x amount of sessions. you still use your psvr?
what about wipeout. Is there anything that comes close to that? I guess VR fzero but that doesn't have a cockpit view.
Is getting only the index headset worth it? I just want to try some cool VR games and watch porn.
PSVR is only cheaper if you own a ps4 already, otherwise it's at parity with PCVR.
I only really want Index, not interested in rift or vive, but it's not on sale in Canada any time soon.
So I'll probably just wait.
You should grab some Vive wands off ebay
Why even ask this kind of question
Not really anymore, since I have a Quest, a Vive, and soon, an Index. But I used it recently for some sessions of Tetris Effect and Wipeout.
If I didn't have other headsets, I'd still use it pretty regularly since there's a lot of multiplats/games I haven't bought. After the initial glow wears off, you might not use it every single day, but there's enough games. My cousin only has PSVR and he still uses it regularly for new releases like Blood and Truth.
People will say Redout but it's not the same, not at all. Wipeout is the best AG racer by a country mile and actually looks very good inside the headset.
since backorders are so stacked already, I'd just wait to see what the general public says about the headset. if you're not getting hand controllers then you are either a simfag or setting yourself up for disappointment desu
exactly, everyone knows PSVR is the only headset getting any sort of support still
every other VR has been abandoned
>every other VR has been abandoned
except for Oculus
Imagine having to desperately shill this hard because PSVR never comes up in organic conversation about VR
>Blood & Truth
looks similair enough

Whats your verdict on the Quest fellow questbro?

>still posting roborecall in 2019
what else have you been playing?
Tentacle Massage.
>grand total of maybe 1 or 2 full games
>the rest of them are shit """experiences""" that last about 30 minutes to an hour or two until you've seen everything
>costs between a console or high-end PC
pretty wrong senpai
>posting an "experience"
ok
It's 6 hours long pal
sure it is
Yup, it is
damn look at those untextured polygons
>ran out of quest games
lol
Its a standalone headset
It's alright user, none of your deflections can hide the fact that you're poor
>t.
>none of your deflections can hide the fact that you're poor
I bought a Valve Index
