His paranoia and cocaine addiction fucked him up
What the fuck was Dmitri's problem? He became a completely different character the second Mikhail died.
He was a backstabbing motherfucker who only wanted profit.
he was always the "different" character he just kept it hidden while mikhail was alive
Russian mobsters are some crazy-ass fucks, comes with most having history in the Soviet military before the collapse and Russia's general position as both poor and rich.
Man every criminal in GTA 4 was incompetent to some degree outside of the Mcreary's and Little Jacob. Why did Niko continue working for chucklefucker after chucklefucker?
He was an opportunist waiting for the moment he could take over. Once Faustin was out of the way it was his chance to actually run things. He was a pretty good villain. Unlike anyone in GTA V he actually had some presence throughout the game.
I dunno man. After the first act He had Roman kidnapped once. Outside of that, nothing. Niko can go around Hove Beach freely. He makes the occasional threatening phone call while Niko is working for people way above his league. It felt like a joke.
Notice how that most of the characters that oppress Niko (Serbian) are Russians. This says a lot about our society.
Are you telling me GTAIV has a good story? It's a long and grim game with no character development, made of redundant missions and an ending that pretends to be important but is just another bundle of asspulls. Who cares? I remember it being cool because it was 2006 and before the game came out it felt like it might be innovative about immigration or something.

Do not fucking lie to yourselves and act like the game marketed itself as a realistic gritty immigrant take after 9/11. There's no reason to deny it,
The story quality in GTA 4 jumps around.
The opening in Hove Beach and working around Brooklyn is great. Bohan is promising but its quality drops off as quickly as the people you are working for drop out of the story, Manny and Elizabeta are interesting characters but they are never really developed in anyway. After that the story reaches its lowest point as you first do the Algonquin missions. Niko has no real objective now. Ray Boccino is barely introduced. His missions, as well as missions for Playboy, Dwayne and the first U.L. missions are all boring (Who thought driving a dumpster truck around town would be fun?). In fact on my first play through I quit at this moment. It was a mistake as soon after the story jumps up as you start working for the Mcrearys, genuinely interesting characters who give the Bank heist and Boccino gives out the museum mission. Most of all, Florian Cravic and his missions are fun. Then you move on to Alderney city where the quality drops a bit but not much and its still fun until the end.
Nevertheless, I think for my next gta iv playthrough I'm gonna count whenever mission is just "Drive here and shoot these guys". Because I swear half the game is just that same repetitive nonsense. At least V had unique, memorable missions more similar to San Andreas and Vice City.
Is there a GTA villain who doesnt betray you? Holy shit j just realized how unoriginal R* is
>Catalina betrays you. Get revenge
>Lance Vance betrays you. Get revenge
>Big Smoke Betrays you. Get revenge
>Dimitri betrayed you. Get revenge
>Devin Weston(had to google him just to find out his name that's how forgettable GTA 5 was) "used" you. Totally different guise
Idc what you say the Diamonds story line was kino
GTA V has 4 villains technically.
Steve Haines, FBI asshole who blackmails the protagonists into working for him. Wants trevor dead for being a psychotic fuck.
Devin Weston, Rich asshole who has the Protagonists steal cars and then doesnt pay them because Micheal accidentally killed his secretary) she ran into a jet engine trying to escape him) after he tried stopping production on Micheal's movie as part of tax evasion or something.
Stretch, gangbanger asshole who hates Franklin and betrays Lamar and has an incredibly minor role for a villain.
Wei Cheng, Triad leader who doesnt betray any of the protagonists but is in fact the one betrayed by Trevor for not accepting his meth deal
They all die in the option C ending.
Oh and you have Micheal betraying Trevor at the very start of things.
One of my favorite bits about IV was the vigilante missions. Gang activity missions were fun, especially taking down the gang on the ruined old bridge.

Crime doesn't pay, but it does betray
V's story is a cluster-fuck with shit writing. By FAR, the worst story out of them all.
his only problem was that he died in the first act, he is the best character in the game.
