Reminder to max out peeping eye's range as soon as you get it so you don't end up in 99.8 hell later on.
Also reminder that Gebel is for stepping on.
Can any ERPfags please type out how Miriam must smell after 100% the castle map?
The inside of her boots, her underboob, etc.
how do I increase MP regen? is it just through INT or is there another way?
Any tips for Hard Mode besides git gud? Normal Mode was a cakewalk but Hard Mode is kicking my ass so hard that it takes multiple attempts just to reach one save room to the next. Is it just the early game that's this brutal?
do breakable walls that just contain items count towards map total or is it only hidden rooms?
So whats the most bullshit broken build in the game? Theres like 10 billion different drops but Im not going to go grind for every single one just to make every recipe or whatever. Im up to Baal so I want to experiment before I end the game.
99.8 is what I had before entering the final boss, after which I got 100%
Drinks give boosts to it.
Take a hard scratch to your ass crack then shove it deep in your nose, maybe throw some crushed Tonsil stones too. Viola, you got it.
Crissaegrim
Portraits
[Don't know]
[Don't know]
Medusa heads
>crissaegrim is in the game
holy shit where
it's not actually called Crissaegrim. the normal version drops from evil barbers, and there's an enhanced version that requires like 4 of them along with optional boss drops
Take advantage of early enemy appearances, and rank up your best shards early. You can get summon bats and a dullahead familiar before leaving the tutorial area. Once upgraded they make for good long range attackers.
Only Hidden Rooms
Anyone got any tips for beating Dominique?
Her moveset is so random and hard to predict that I've been getting bodied for the last hour because of it.
What’s with those rooms containing rotating metal lifts? Is there even anything to do in there?
i equipped the acceleration shardand just kept speeding behind her whenever she started to wind up an attack. killed her in little under a minute with 16bit deathbringer + portraits
Equip zangetsuto, parry the shit out of her
Use accelerator to run away when she uses ice/fire moves
Only 5 items away from 100% item list. WTF am I missing?
I think it means you need the resource on you, it just doesn't use it.
Or it's just a developer typo and you're looking to much into it. It's a garbage shard power so understandable that it got missed in testing.
I don't have any mithril
I think it's just a bug
Also explain why it's garbage? It does a ton of damage for not that much MP
Empathy
Here's a really good tip that turns the fight into a joke. Don't open if you want to beat her fairly
She's vulnerable to poison. Just use the little poison tornado shard on her and it does so much DoT on her while you beat her with your stick that she'll die in 30 seconds
Best Familiar?
Book or Knight
Weapon: Rhava Velar
Conjure Shards: Teps Salendra
My personal favorite
Because every purple shard is fucking garbage in comparison to heretical grinder.
Every single person I know and have seen play the game primarily use heretical grinder.
Dullaheads
Very easy to farm too
damn, how do you get 2k health? is this NG+?
Kazliki, Joyeuse, Ridill, Ukonvasara, Oracle Blade. Have you considered using the crafting system?
Knight by far.
Fairy is good for finding hidden walls, but Knights damage out put and projectile intercept is godlike.
>no the holy cross
Nah, I dont like shards that you have to keep the button press. I like fire and forget shards
All of these are craftable?! Oh well... thanks anyway
Is this an autism joke?
I think it's an autism joke.
is it just me or is there barely any money in this game?
>Fire and forget
But with upgraded heretical grinder it's literally hold button and thumb-stick in direction and forget about how to play the game.
>tfw this game is fun as fuck and scratches the itch for a new Castlevania
>tfw I once again realize there will NEVER EVER be another new Castlevania with Konami as they are now
For not being a sprite based game, the amount of reskinned enemies is fucking ridiculous. It's almost Circle of the Moon levels of fuckery.
Five fucking elementals
Four different fucking frogs.
God damn FIVE fucking different cannons that they didn't even have the decency to meaningfully recolor.
Literally the last time you see a unique enemy model is way back in the hidden desert. It's Living Fossil. Then it's just reskins all the way down.
Castlevania games have never had a lot of money. You have to sell shit or make farming sets to get a lot of money.
>game has all the exact same story beats as SotN
Most players i see smash their way through all bosses apart from OD using shards that are easily farmable early game like the portrait and the dullaheads. For me it was a luck build with true arrow/dulla/portraits with boots on for more damage when avoiding. I did end up migrating into a vastly stronger build (ruinous rood with words of wisdom) when i lost to OD though. I would really like to hear about others builds.
Holy shit, you weren't kidding. I just used the shitty poison whip I crafted like 7 in-game hours ago and it melted through her health so fast that her AI started spazzing out. Thanks, user.
So what are the best shards for
>Red
>Purple
>Blue
>Yellow
>Green
>Literally the last time you see a unique enemy model is way back in the hidden desert. It's Living Fossil. Then it's just reskins all the way down.
Literally just a reskin of the Dragon enemy.
What's the deal with this sword? What's the catch here? It uses 3 powerful swords and gives you a really weak one, so I thought it had some unique effect or something, but no it's just a useless piece of shit, or maybe I'm missing something here?
I used buer?(lionwheel) a lot, you can jump of it so it made getting to higher places easier even without invert. Also it blocks some attacks and deals decent damage bouncing around.
I did exactly this. I was amazed by heretical grinder so I only used that. then zangetsu kicked my ass on the second fight, so I had to learn to play
I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with that one. Bit more advanced than a reskin. Otherwise the last new enemies would be in Forbidden Underground Waterway which admittedly has a decent handful of unique models.
I went full autismo and farmed the fuck out of bloodbringer in the cathedral. That plus an upgraded flame canon took me well into the endgame and I just spammed the lightning overhead with Zangetsuo
ZA warudo and accelerator forever
Nothing else matters
is za warudo an optional boss?
Kinda disappointed with Nightmare mode just because I wanted more than Heaven or Hell mode. Everyone is just a glass cannon.
Was wanting something like Curse of Darkness's crazy mode where everything had 10x health on top of 10x damage and you were just fucked.
This game really needed to have the top like 15 combat shards nerfed a bit
shit's just way too easy
I know the other games were easy too, but at least I was using my fucking weapon and had to be in melee range
Wait what? Explain. I'm stuck on 99,80% and have no idea what the fuck to do.
I remember a lot of people posting how Konami is secretly developing a Castlevania "to put Igarashi in his place",
Imagine being this delusional.
Beast Guardian shards is also good
They have a Chaos Mode planned for DLC, which may be harder than Nightmare.
I use Rihga Doin because it hits extremely hard when it lands then sits in one spot cooking the enemy.
I've been using Doin and Welcomed Company and the game is literally a joke.
Is the not!Vorpal Blade that good? not!Crissaegrim isn't accessible until the very end of the game.
On Nightmare NG, I'm falling back to bunny morph because nothing else matches its damage besides maybe guns.
Yeah, get 99% map completion and get a new book from OD
Go to Glacial Tombs and one of the rooms will now be a boss room
You'll see that OD is actually DO because he's a time stopping knife throwing vampire
You have until this thread to explain why the I shouldn't get the Switch version given that cutting edge graphics for a Switch game, esepically hand held, and 30fps is perfectly fine since I'm not an autistic retard.
Chaos mode is just the much catchier name for "online challenge mode." So that's what that is.
Why go for a version that's just functional as opposed to a better version?
damn, what bullshit shard is that?
the switch version is really bad I hear, it lags and has framerate drops all over, its barely functional
I prefer mobility above all else. Also PC is inferior because you cannot own any games on it anymore.
She has no attacks that hit straight up above her aside from the big laser, so I used bunnymophosis and bounced on her head until she died. Got the medal first try, free.
Lol the switch version is just a pile of trash
Sucks that I have to go back sotn after being cockteased this hard
Yes, I think it is time dependant, you need to play for like 5h or more ? I don't know.
And then you are able to borrow his rare/last book, so you will have a fight on Ice Caverns just after TP room
dunno about nightmare, but I liked not! vorpal blade on normal. I imagine it's still good in its own way.
There's so much taken from SOTN that it is actually boggling my mind. Pieces of the map, enemies, weapons, this game must have been easy as fuck to make considering how much they directly translated from Castlevania.
>PC is inferior because you cannot own any games on it anymore.
how to own gaem:
download gog version
put gog vesrion on usb stcik or cd rom
conglaturation yuo own gaem
Time Stop, Recycler Hat, Diamond Bullets, One of the two final guns on the list.
what are the chances iga gets fucking sued
Maybe it levels up like the Izayoi but with dragon kills/blood?
Put on the eyeball and hug some walls. Or post your map.
I skipped through her cutscene and dialogue the first time and it just went right to the next part.
My friend gave me bloodstained that way
Google complete map and compare to yours, retard.
Well if mobility is what you want, that's your answer. No point in talking you out of it. Hope the patches make it perform even better.
Probably the two secret rooms you have to smash the ground for. I think ones in the Cathe and the others in the hidden sorcery lab
Chances of getting sued? Probably decent because some soiboi who doesn't know how kickstarter works probably feels gypped somehow.
Chances of getting successfully sued for anything? 0.
Be honest, how many of you actually figured out demon #44 on your own?
Doesn't it do 3 hits per swing? Haven't tried it myself but I'd think that would give it some merit. Worst case you can just buy another and dismantle it, no reason to farm the swords anew.
Alright I'll try the eyeball thing I guess.
I did that already, faggot. I have all the rooms on those maps, fuck I actually have more for some reason.
I got those.
I did and it scared the shit out of me. I looked it up afterwards cause i couldn't get it to work again. I just so happened to sit down at the right time my first time.
>welcomed company hits hidden walls, can juggle enemies above you, keeps 90% of enemies away, stacks a lot of damage, can block some projectiles and costs literally nothing to cast
Needs a nerf IMO
i meant by konami
Why haven't you no damage'd the game on Nightmare yet?
Not a chance. Konami doesn't own demons or mythical beasts. Fuck, Iga didn't even use skeletons.
I tried the switch version, it's a disaster. it's a blurry mess and not even stable 30fps. it makes me mad cause this kinda game is great for portable consoles, and I know the switch can handle it but it just can't right now. hope they fix.
There was a boss called "tracula" in the datamines, so if it's a beat for beat copy of dracula fights from Castlevania that gets patched in/sold as DLC then maybe a tiny tiny chance but probably not because mechanics aren't trademarked and Dracula is public domain.
It's balanced by being offensive to the eyes.
Yes, just slit your throat first
>chair mimic shard lets you summon chairs to sit in
What does the shard do maxed out? I see the upgrade pulls new kinds of chairs.
I'm just catching up to the news now. So this game is good? Is (not) Castlevania really back?
What is the best way to farm gold (mats)?
Just new chairs.
Your MP regain is sped up whenever you're sitting down so idk if fancier chairs increase that at all or if it's just a big meme.
It lets you style on enemies by timestopping, fucking them up, summon a chair and sit on it while reading Dantalion and then ending the timestop.
Any mods to change out the portaraits? It's like looking at those annoying youtube thumbnails for reaction videos.
What's the best special weapon property and why is it Andromeda's seeking?
craft it once and then just buy from the shop, it's only 13.5k after the discount, which is nothing when you have Augment Gold maxed out
It's safe, by the numbers and the graphics suck but its more fun than anything else in recent memory. I got the platinum and don't regret my time with it.
Can I do anything with the bull statue surrounded by candles? You can make the double jump normally but it seems a little out of place. It's before you reach the volcano area.
I read here what to do, but I didn't know what would happen.
>dantalion
Favorite familiar by far. The way he talks, boosts str and looks like chewbacca is great.
>it's a garbage shard power
I brought that thing to endgame and it chews through bosses, the only thing I found to surpass it was bunnyform
You can also farm Ayamur from Underwater Horse and decraft it
Alkahest can be farm on red ghost in Desert zone
Where can you farm Dragon's Wraths?
Aradia is shit and Miriam is better
Giant Land dragons.
Abyssal Guardian
He is the best familiar for gun builds
>get to den of behemoths
>see abyssal guardian
We were this fucking close to finishing the game without any reused bosses. This close.
Really? Why is that?
It's that trope where an early game boss is a late game common enemy. Pretty common in IGA's games.
It's fine when it's done well.
This is an instance where it's not done well.
"Wow here's an area filled with old enemies but now big! Also here's a normal sized abyssal guardian to completely throw off the theming. Also a normal sized reskin of the lion sword dude from the start for some reason."
Also this shithole of an area had the audacity to take up over 10% of the map.
That boss was so ridiculously easy I could tell he'd be a regular enemy sooner or later. And they were basically reused almost immediately if you count the small dragons.
Most of the mid game bosses were really easy desu. This game has really bizarre difficulty pacing issues.
You're just reaching at this point. Go be a negative nancy somewhere else.
Nah Den of Behemoths was legitimate garbage. Wasn't even difficult and it was reskins for days.
The level wasn't designed in a remotely interesting way either, just "hey big rooms."
The race to get accelerator shard was pretty cute and kind of a fun challenge if you forgot to put on aegis armor.
I took the bosses completely out of order on my first run, so my difficulty was all over the place.
What is that floating thing on top of her head?
how do I deal with ZA WARUDO knives?
Yeah I'm going to try and put off the train as long as I can whenever I get around to starting my nightmare run tonight. I'm kind of interested in the sequence breaking opportunities this game has. Haven't really had something like this in any of the handheld titles unless you want to count putting off Sandy Grave in PoR.
+ 20 STR
Tbh I just Invert and take 0 damage
The last 50% of the game was just reskinned caves and labs + an upscaled garden of silence. Also tons of reskinned/upscaled enemies. IGA spent all the money on whores.
He's weak to Holy, just spam Tis Raiff or Tis Rozalin. Also Rhava Velar helps a lot, as usual.
Getting his medal is a bit more involved though.
Did they really just
Yeah I was honestly taken aback by how many reskinned enemies there were. I though the whole point of moving away from sprites was to avoid shit like that.
The game's fine, but it was a real downer.
HEHE, THANK YOU!
You use the shield or gremory teleport
Money is Power passive effect. For whatever reason the shard that boosts stats based on money adds a halo made of gold over your head. Fucking thing shows up in cutscenes too.
I'm interested in this.
Welcome to JRPG game design 101 lmao. They could've at least given the reskinned enemies new heads or something. But so many of them are just literal color swaps...
He's wearing the rainbow clock from SOTN btw. This dude has so many references lol.
Like I said, it's mostly just reskinned toads, elementals, and cannons.
Which sucks because there were at least some interesting designs that I wouldn't mind seeing a reskin of. Dullahammer maybe? There was a reskinned one of those in Curse of the Moon so I'm surprised it wasn't in Ritual. Maybe a reskinned version of the guitar chick that started blasting death metal? That would have been fun.
Someone post the unused Alucard colors
Money is power passive Shard
Use Directed Shield Shard
why is bael such a double nigger
Johannes told you to run
okay theres nothing left to do
what's the next best castlevania-like game with lots of RPG spergshit, i've played the DS ones
Can you even do the thing where you superjump up from below him to lift him up?
>tripple nigger
Can we talk about how much of a beta orbiter Johannes is? Yikes.
Timespinner is a beat for beat Castlevania game. Like, it's actually really good if a bit short.
Every single character is Gay or trans though, but it's all super fucking campy and only rightoid spergs get legitimately upset about that.
You can skip all the dialogue if you want to miss out on hilariously forced gay jokes though.
Put the code NIGHTMARE777 in the password menu somewhere on the main menu though to unlock hard mode from the start. Game is way too easy otherwise.
Valdis Story is also a 10/10 game but it's fairly different from your typical castlevania mechanically speaking. Has skill trees and weapon combos and all that.
Aria of Sorrow and Circle of the Moon on the GBA are both pretty swell. Don't bother with Harmony of DIssonance though, it's trash.
>exploring around
>see boss door, cool, time to slay some more demon faggots
>it's Bael
>oh fuck okay that's early
>fight begins, annihilate him
>cutscene about bullshit
>GAME OVER
20 minutes down the shitter. Why the fuck is that even a thing?
Just ZA WARUDO Dominique's cooch
Guess it's set in Trans-lyvania
CAAAARLOSSSS
>Timespinner
It's pretty fun, but very very VERY easy. Maybe only the first two bosses are mildly sorta challenging, then it just goes full retard with the player character being crazy OP. Still, it's practically a 1:1 clone of DS Castlevania's. You dual wield just like in OoE.
The LGBTBBQ stuff gets a bit crazier if you do all the quests, that polyamory scene is so goddamn bizarre.
Pirate it, do not support this shit.
But does Tim Curry appear in it?
I just looked at it and it's got a brown girl on the cover, I just use that as an automatic dealbreaker. I might be missing out but oh well.
Valdis Story is awesome though, unfortunately I've played it already.
When do you unlock the book to trigger the OD fight?
Yeah like I was telling the dude, just put in the nightmare mode cheat before even starting the game so you can actually have fun with it though.
All the LGBT shit was hilarious man, even if unintentionally.
Best mod coming through.
Does Welcome Company surround you with Kramer
Yup.
I've been playing CotM to scratch the itch but man you can feel how dated it is. Kickass soundtrack though.
She gets some alt outfits later on, she's pretty cute IMO.
Add nude Miriam and it'll be perfect.
Hope you're using the auto-run cheat. The game's so tedious otherwise.
>that painting in the background
i definitely can't do it lol
Aight then. Momodora: Reverie in the Moonlight or fucking whatever is pretty good, though legitimately 4 hours longs.
Hollow Knight is an overrated meme game for the same people that drink craft beer, but it's worth a playthrough even if it fucking drags.
Salt and Sanctuary is weirdly great for being an unapologetic 2D Dark Souls ripoff. Legitimately good level design and the game itself is shockingly large.
That's about it for "great" games.
Get yourself low HP so Red Remembrance make you stronger
Beast Guardian to block front damage, while you shoot as fast as you can
Should do about 7 10 shot
Yes.
Yes, you even get a nice item easter egg
HoD is a fine game it just looks like candy-coated fuckshit that burns my eyeballs
Giddyup!
I think Timespinner is worth a playthrough if you're into metroidvanias but it has a lot of flaws. It's way too easy, even the end-game content. The level design is very weak in my opinion, which is a huge downside in a metroidvania. It's WAY too short. The fetch quest bullshit is retarded too. It has really good spritework and some neat ideas, but like I said, lots of flaws.
Yes, it is set in some alternate universe where everyone is a brown lesbian woman or a gay man. The only straight white dude in the game is a jerk lmao.
Look at the pause menu, it's almost a 1:1 copy of Castlevania's.
How good is Renee's?
Nice.
>bosses are so shitty they have to be cheesed with a shield
>"As for the showcase, well... I wasn't really sure how to approach this one, since the hitboxes are completely whack, and some patterns are just ????fest, so I decided to keep each fight as clean as possible unless some bs that wasn't worth dealing with happens.
Some examples would be shielding against invisible hitboxes and "gotcha" attacks, or during some other fights when the target doesn't let you get near it safely, then I resorted to the gun."
Yikes. Ooof.
The LGBT shit is so beyond forced that it's just a hilarious experience all the way through.
There's one escort quest in the game and it's to take a gay guy who just got out of a coma to the waterfall so he can have a date with the bi dude.
The shop keeper randomly tells you that they're trans for some reason.
Everyone sits around a fire and talks about sucking dick and being poly if you do all the side quests.
The butchy lesbian talks about being asexual.
It never ends and for being a 6 hour game on normal difficulty, it's just jam packed.
It's the video game equivalent of a gay leftist propaganda film and it's the funniest shit on earth.
I just overleveled, got Gebel's Glasses + Summon Hellhound and managed to get his medal after a few retries. I only needed 6 castings of Hellhound to kill him, it was just the matter of RNG to get those hits in before he lunges at me or does the tokyo tomato thing.
I appreciate the suggestions. I've played Hollow Knight and S&S, but I might give Momodora a shot.
>Gebel
>pronounced as gee-bill
Who the fuck thought this was a decent name?
Might as well fucking name him Gerbil the fuck.
Oh, also look up Shadow Complex, that's a really good game as well, but it leans more into Metroid.
his nip name is "jiberu" which probably doesn't sound as ridiculous to them. Terrible translation for it though. It could be "Siebel" or something and be a bit more dignified.
>it's got a brown girl on the cover, I just use that as an automatic dealbreaker
Thats probably the dumbest shit Ive ever heard. If it's bait, its just too dumb to even consider.
From what I've heard basically the whole game side of the thing was made by one dude and then he just outsourced the story/writing to some hardcore leftists, hence the hilarious results.
So, how many total outfits actually change Miriam's appearance?
Just 1. They ran out of money.
Miriam smells like a pristine field of flowers at all times, she is constantly maintaining her immaculate cleanliness using Shard magic. She could 999% the nastiest, grimiest, dankest corners of the castle and still come out at the end looking and smelling like she just used fifty bottles of shampoos, herbs and oils in a comfy bubble bath.
Why? It's a very good rule, I avoid wasting my time on so much god-awful indie shit. I don't even waste my time looking into it.
I'm stuck at 99.80% map completion. It's pissing me the fuck off.
1. Shovel Knight
2. Valkyrie (only very slightly though)
I call him Jevil
3 technically. Shovel armor and the bunny shard.
Well, here's hoping modders can help us out with this. Shame, because we could get really creative with all the other outfit options.
You honestly are missing out on some extremely tight gameplay and shockingly great soundtrack.
It's basically Order of Ecclesia in that regard.
Is there such a thing as having too much stuff on screen?
Yes it spawns two chests
>Implying we won't be getting sold new outfits as DLC
Those arguably aren't even outfits. It's just the enemy model.
Maybe Jevil?
True, but they are a cosmetic change. I just wish they were more like OoE and the Sorrows where Miriam gets her own version of the transformations.
Sounds like a stupid idea, why people dont learn from Doom and just have a good trying to get back home but just end fucking hell sideways
This game would be harder if you couldn’t chug 9 potions/high potions/eat food whenever you please
There's another room you can find with a similar empty chair and a spear knight in the room below.
That's been the whole series except OoE where they had the decency to make that shit expensive.
what do you get for beating the ninja in the race?
is celeste's room just for you to chill out in?
is there a point to todd?
Timespinner is such a weird game.
You get the accelerator shard that makes you super fast. Just put on the Aegis armor and the race is a breeze.
So far yes.
Character customization and a kinda amusing conversation the first time you meet him.
I haven't needed potions since the Zangetsu fight
All you need is portraits and the grinder
You don't even really need to if you stack attack and grind all the buff skill shards into passives. You can get greatswords to go FAST and hit extremely hard, melting people before you even get the criss knockoff.
1) You get the Accelerator shard, which is very good
2) No point beyond seeing how a moron wasted his money on a tribute to his cat
3) He lets you customize Miriam's looks
Every time somebody points out the campfire scene I have to remind myself that the Asmodeus Labs exist as a 10/10 area, and the whole thing balances out again.
Is that the one where every character is gay and/or trans?
Which 8 bit weapons are worth using besides the gun and the lightsaber?
>Valdis Story
I'd like it a lot more if there wasn't a bunch of speedrun autism shit.
Fucking trash narrative agenda. This is not how you do representation.
It's fucking hilarious.
Only autright soibois get legitimately upset about it.
Forget weapons, dump coins into summoning dumb green zombies.
What a strange complaint.
>99.80%
ARRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH
Fucking christ
GEBEL! HOW COME YOUR MOM LETS YOU EAT TWO WIENERS?
I wish the scene where the butchy lesbian explains that she's asexual so she doesn't mind her partner being poly could be condensed into one screenshot.
That one's a doozy.
my problem is specifically with "if you don't do this thing at this time, you miss out on this specific item" stuff. Speedrunning in general I have no problem with, but not if it's mandatory for completion whether you're a speedrunner or not.
the whip’s short hop attack animation is extremely fast compared to every other whip for some reason
I can kinda get where he's coming from, even if I wouldn't call it that. It felt like Valdis Story was a game that was more designed to be enjoyed on a second playthrough than on the first.
Dysphoria as an ailment when?
Keep in mind that Momodora 4 offers a lot of replay value for further difficulty modes and no-hit boss rewards, it's a really good game
Man this game has some shit bosses but Dominique and Gremory were both top tier.
I think there's only one instance of that in the game though?
Are you talking about needing to kill the yeti early on so it doesn't murder the one secret town?
Wow, this game is exactly like Unholy Dungeon
>Dysphoria
Whatcha talkin bout bro
>ship soundtrack is a mix of Ruined Castle Corridor with Dracula's Castle AND MOTHERFUCKING IRON BLUE INTENTION
THE SOUNDTRACK GETS EVEN BETTER RIGHT!?
It's really fucking good. Dunno why people shit on it.
It offers a lot of replay value in that regard but it's not really interesting enough as a game to warrant a second playthrough.
At least fore me.
I might try an insane mode playthrough one day but I'm just kind of content with what I got out of it. Not really feeling an urge to go back in.
There are some extremely SotN sounding songs and one that sounds like it's from an Ys game. The oriental lab has a pretty bitching track too.
What am I missing?
It's good, but a bit disappointing. Only a few tracks really stand out.
Oops, into the painting she goes!
There should be a mod to add the US and NoR paintings with the girls in them into Bloodstained.
The insane mode was a bit too easy IMO, it's literally all about meta-knowledge of enemy positions and boss patterns. Just stay the fuck away and spam your bow. I beat it and I'm horrible at video games.
>oriental lab
>BONG BONG BONG BONG
>YOO
Yeah I'm with you. They kind of blew their load by sharing all the great tracks before the game came out.
SotN played a lot with dynamics and I kind of miss hearing that in any of the following soundtracks.
There wasn't any unique genre'd songs in Bloodstained either. Nothing like Wandering Ghosts.
I hope Dominique turns into the Carmilla of the series since Gremory fills Death's role and now we need a Dracula to set things into motion
It's great fuck you. You got Jap noises incorporated into some kind of buttrock music, like MUST DIE from Blazblue.
Just keep the fairy familiar out. I got 100% without even struggling.
NG Nightmare mode is disappointing, I was expecting a challenge but the game is just way too broken. A shame because this game has some of the best levels and encounters out of any metroidvania. Order of Ecclesia's still #1 in terms of hard mode after all
>God Cross
Nothing special in terms of power, but the earliest you can get a sword with the Force Blast Technique which is extremely good, especially for many other Swords as a lot of them have unique Force Blast effects.
>Shield Weapon
To block 95% of attacks in the game if you swing and just stand there.
>Encrypted Orchid
Good at all times, especially if you learn Force Blast from God Cross or whatever other sword.
>Ambivalence
Great whip since you can swap its Light/Dark attribute by holding attack, and most things in the game are weak to Light damage.
>Deathbringer, Redbeast Edge, Renee's Requiem
Nothing special in regards to any fancy gimmicks, but just extremely powerful in raw output after you upgrade them to 32-Bit.
Honestly, I just felt like a lot of the tracks lacked a certain 'oomph' to it. Like they were almost classic Castlevania tracks, but something was missing.
yeah, I feel like there was another but maybe not.
It was my only really big complaint desu.
I hope whatever Gremory did to Zangetsu ends up making him a demon akin to the nightmare run in COTM. I don't believe he's dead at all.
This game is easier than SoTN but the difference is that in this game you get retardedly, comically overpowered while in SoTN you just get overpowered
So Bloodstained is more fun
I can't even get out of the second room on New Game Hard. Any tips on how to take out the armored guy while not getting gang raped by the zombies?
>Silent Howl.mp3
Use water magic you retarded ass nigga
Zangetsu is low key shown in the ending cutscene. He's alive.
I'm fairly new to the game, any tips?
Do I save money? What would be the most optimal use? I like shoe weapons.
youtube.com
I wouldn't say there's no unique genre'd songs, this is pretty different from all the other tracks.
>tfw johnathan pinned charlotte down and bred her to keep the bloodline going
Must have been tired. Didn't seem effective on the first attempt. Plus skipping the opening cutscene just made the audio play over the game.
the shield rod says different
You might be thinking of when you need to power up the heat source for that one city.
If I'm remembering correctly both those events got patches so that it's not a time based thing anymore, but event based. So you have to kill the yeti before X point in the game instead of needing to kill him before four hours have passed.
Oh really? I skipped the credits.
I feel like it was Charlotte that restrained him with magic in order to milk him.
CotM as a whole is just an illusion that zangetsu experiences over and over, since he is cursed by Gremory it probably just takes place after his "death" in RotN
Just sounds like a Metal Slug 3 B track honestly. I'd like it more if it had a better driving melody.
I'm actually looking forwards to Zangetsu mode now. Not sure how to feel about Shovel Knight mode.
>Fire pillar spells can randomly hit you from any distance if you jump
>Killing/hitting things then jumping will randomly make you take collision damage with whatever you hit, no matter where it actually is
>Accelerator makes this even more obvious and awful
What the fuck is up with the hitboxes sometimes? The fire pillar hitbox bullshit made the lava area an absolute nightmare for me with the cancer fire elementals + lava mortes pre-meditated shots that goes through walls.
>CotM as a whole is just an illusion that zangetsu experiences over and over
Total fanfiction but I like the idea of it.
Experiment with everything you have and find good shit, dont just stick to a single "build" the game isnt made for that its all about playing around with the tools youre given and finding ways to break everything. Getting the same shard over and over levels it up making it stronger. Spend money freely, you get the good weapons by just exploring and crafting
Jonathan fucked Charlotte and the two Lecarde twins and built his own harem, he's just that much of a chad
hidden wall to the right of the secret garden warp room. not immediately but that empty space to the right. broken from the left
>Barely started
>using firearm up, cowboy hat, and scarf
are guns viable at all in this game? this seems effective but don't want to screw myself by investing in guns just to find out if they're shit or not
A square in the Oriental Lab.
A square in the Underground Lab.
A square in the Garden.
A square in the Inferno Cave.
You didn't fight Millionaire's Bane yet.
Its very effective in the early game, kills him in like 3 splashes
guns are fine, just ammo dependent
That's kind of underwhelming
>Bibliotheca Ex Machina
>Autumn's Desolation
>Cursed Orphan
They are really good, combine that with some dullhammer head familliars and books and youll be an unstoppable killing machine for a good while.
Very viable the ammo is the problem
the directional shard with the chainsaw sword is broken in early game, dont know about later in the game because i havent gotten that far but i've kept it ever since i got it and it makes mince meat of everything
They get one of the best items in the game which bumps them up to a ridiculous degree.
It's spelled out in the ending you get by ignoring every party member
I just want Miriam to sit on my face.
Use Horus Eye in the final battle and you will see
If you don't mind crafting they are extremely powerful especially with diamond bullets
Cool. I'll take Aradia and we'll fistbump.
bwub masterrace
>are guns viable at all in this game?
Very. Backstep Cancel that shit and you got a machinegun, don't even need the rapid fire Technique. Craft lots of bullets at Johannes, whatever cheap stuff for damage and Diamond for deleting bosses.
>The oriental lab has a pretty bitching track too.
This. Part of it reminds me from Guilty Gear when the guitars are going.
I love katanas more than should be healthy. Zangetsu's sword makes me happy.
Does the katana weapon set get any better from here?
Im just happy it auto shits on bats, frogs and dullahan heads, they are very annoying as usual
It has so many ridiculous Techniques. Learn them all and the Katana is obscene. There are several Katanas that are more statistically powerful than Zangetsuto.
Just got through it, thanks a ton. Now I can actually make progress. I never even considered using the water move because I disliked it so much, but I guess hard mode will force me to use new strats
I wish whips worked like they do in real castlemania
It's such a shame how quick cool weapons can become unviable. I want to use kung fu shoes all day.
I was really hoping for a Royal Sandals boot weapon in the desert area, like the items you could find in PoR. If she's got feet I gotta peek
boots seem viable
On the topic of techniques, does learning them make them accessible from every version of the weapon? I've been lost in Flying Edge town for so long that I'd need to set aside some time for tech grinding.
Is this Recycler Hat real, if so where is it? Also, is anyone else having trouble because the girl who gives you the item retrieval quests only tells you the item she needs once and then never again?
Hell's Knells are fucking great man.
Gonna take a break from this for a little while but still in the mood for a similar game. Got Dead Cells and Shadow Complex and haven’t started them, either of them worth playing?
Any tips or specific equipment to beat the Carpenter? I don't care if I use broken stuff to beat him. I can beat the optional bosses fine but this asshole is bullshit.
Just use the fucking glyph, you...you...STUPID DISCIPLE
You can talk to her and it says at the top of the screen
To get the Recycle Hat, you gotta become a master chef and feed granny.
You get it from either the grave or food questline iirc. As for grave lady, if you talk to her, it should mention the item at the top of the screen. Alternatively, it should be listed in the Quests section of the Archives.
Ya gotta finish feeding hungry grandma for recycler hat
You can look in the quest section of the archives and that'll tell you what you need to give for the item retrieval quests.
Invert and shield
Just an fyi, this move on the first boss is avoided by standing behind the squid monsters she spits up. Don't play like I did by killing them all and tanking her fire hose attacks.
I want Dominique to sit on my face.
Why is there so much lewdwork of Miriam but not for Dominique?
>you can cancel the rekkas with another skill and cancel that skill with the next hit of the rekka
Fuck, i was not expecting a combo system.
>having to use enemies that have active hitboxes and are spitting water at you as cover
Hard Mode Velar is so stupid
The velar weapons and welcoming company(crissaegrim clone)
True arrow is also really good for most of the game
Do Gebel's Glasses do anything?
Unlimited MP
They can't do Dominique justice.
Infinite MP
UNLIMITED POWER
How do I get the red chest underneath the Gambler boss?
Walk to it from the right side. It's not a wall.
That pissed me off so much when I Dimension Shifted in there and then figured out I could just walk out.
>super jump doesnt get carried into NG+
Haha that's fine, I can just craft a new one!
>neither do Bovine Plumes
FUCK YOU
>3 views
Is this your video? It fucking sucks shit.
It's a FF reference, it does 3 hits per swing. Overall I think it has just as much DPS as Blue Rose outside of techniques
>defeat Bael
>game over
sure thing boss
I think he got it mixed up with Gebel
what mod?
Bael was a 2/10 final boss. He'd be better if he attacked more than once every fifteen seconds.
He's like a slightly improved triple statue boss from AoS.
This makes me so glad I started on nightmare just by farming the dullahan heads and summon ghost shard early game I plowed through the starting areas.
He attacks?
In AoS it did something interesting at least by stealing all your souls.
Here it just.... rotates around like a washing machine.
Chaos stealing all your souls didn't even matter because you're so OP even without them at that point.
Damn Bloodless could take a beating. And I have the sun shining in onto my TV, so I couldn't really see the rain or the parasols all that well.
bought this before saw all these sjw agenda screenshots. Good thing I can refund this shit
Yeah idk why they made the OP weapon available only 2/3rds of the way through the game.
It was at least hidden sorta well if you played blind.
It's really easy to make fun of, the game doesn't take all that leftist shit seriously either, it's way too fucking over the top.
I wouldn't deprive yourself of an otherwise great game.
Best directional shard for dps? Going after medals
He's even voiced by Alucard's original English VA. One of the only reasons to switch the game off Japanese.
Carpenter's shard.
Of course it does retard you think pro video editors come to this shit hole?
Having two stands is cheating.
>One of the only reasons to switch the game off Japanese.
Or because you don't know Japanese.
David Hayter's also in this you dumb homo.
Which is the best boss and why is it Bloodless?
>why is it bloodless
Because most of the others aren't that great.
O.D
>David Hayter's also in this you dumb homo.
litterally the worst part, every other enligh VA is fitting.
I heard from these threads that Miriam's character is different in the Japanese dub. What's she like in moonspeak?
the intended version
thats the difference.
Thanks. I will now never play this game.
Why would you want a SoTN reboot without a cheesy inaccurate English dub
It's not like the story is some important masterpiece anyway
Bloodless is the worst boss though, the speedster that you get reflector ray from is the best boss
wtf are tonsil stones?
I mean fuck, I'm bi myself and I hate when these retards shove their gay shit down your throat.
They are like vegans, the very moment they meet you they'll let you know about how fucking retarded they are.
You can make good gay characters without making the character announce it to the whole world.
Emil from Nier is a great example.
Yeah, and he just does a Solid Snake impression for a character that it doesn't fit at all. It's kinda fun to have him in the game, but it doesn't make up for how bland the dub is in general, or how fucking annoying Miriam's battle cries are in English. Or that fucking AWFUL English version of the garden piano song.
Where do you go after beating Gremory and getting the dimensional shift shard?
backtrack the glacial tomb a bit
Timespinner never felt like it was trying to pander and seriously shove a narrative down my through though, the whole thing felt really camp.
Search the red moon in the early parts of the castle, sabe the bong from nippon lands and explore a bit
Maybe, but those screenshots beg the differ
Found it, thanks. God damn, not even a single teleporter room? What the fuck, Iga, Giant and Ice area are already boring, no need to make us backtrack through it so much.
Thanks user, I meant the Ice area right before the final boss.
When do I get a movement shard?
I'm at the clocktower thing and it's a fucking slog to go through.
there should be one teleporter on the second half of that area
Either way, 100% of the dialogue can be skipped, and the game plays extremely tight.
Not playing a game over that shit is like some sort of weirdo reverse virtue signaling.
The spinning blade you get from Not-Simon Belmont. Freeze Time then throw a handful of them so they'll shit out infinite damage at a single point.
Kek, I mapped out the entire area except that one particular room, thanks.
buy this game guys its totally funny and not serious you will enjoy laughing at the totally ironic leftyshit dont be a retard who avoids a game just because every single line of dialogue is imgayimgayimgay over and over
Based fellow PoR chads
PoR isn't the best Castlevania by a long shot in my opinion, but it is pretty underrated. I think people were just burned out on the Igavania formula by the time it and Order of Ecclesia released.
Based Genzoman
PoR's up there though. Def top 3.
Most people I've seen hating PoR (and also RoS) hate it because of the art style and never even played it.
Anyone know where the Critical Swing(whip tech) bookshelf is?
only missing it for the journal
The art style isn't even bad, just really fucking inconsistant.
Look at the great spritework on Dagon, then look at another enemy in that area, Killer Bee. Cartoony and with bold outlines.
Shit just doesn't match.
The only way to play the 8-bit nightmare
youtube.com
Just pirated this. Is it possible to fully explore the Minerva on your first playthrough? Because it seems like you'd need double jump or something for some of the things, and I have a hunch I won't be able to come back to it outside of NG+.
Come back to it later when you have more movement options.
Oh, so I will be able to come back later? Alright.
Thanks.
Where can a poorfag get gold from? I need Gold to max out Augment Gold.
You can go back any time. I haven't run through it in a while, but I don't remember there being any areas I couldn't get to as long as you know how to extend your jumps with the kick technique.
Have fun, user.
Can't blame you for pirating. Game is rough in a lot of places.
>Cuz im a sweet transvestite...frooom transexual...Transylvaaaniaaaa
the cathedral, next to the save room at the bottom
its the very first save room you get there after you beat Zangetsu
How do you unlock OD's last book? Is it tied to map progression? Mine is at 96.5% and I haven't beaten Bael yet.
99% unlocks the book
Ok I guess I'm officially lost. Everything seems to take swimming, a key, or high jump/flying to get to. Last thing I did was kill the twin dragons boss, the whole towers area seemed kind of pointless. Didnt go anywhere, didnt have any big acquisitions, just a few decent drops.
Also what are the blue icons that move around the map?
The blue icons are markers you keep putting down by accident.
I'm currently replaying it with the JP voices, and I really don't get the appeal. The main cast is okay, but I can't stand most of the side character voices, like Todd and the coachman. Especially the damn sword. I'd prefer to have a screaming lunatic rather than hear another DORYA.
At least the fairy's singing voice isn't grating like the English version.
go to the library and talk to the bookkeeper
Go interact with Dominique's part of the church.
Chances are you have the solution in your inventory now.
>she can't turn around without running straight into anybody behind her
>if you jump over her she'll evade backwards into you
>if you follow her after she evades back, she'll evade forwards into you
Bitch is clumsy as fuck! She probably learned to drain blood off the environment because she kept tripping into stuff in the bathroom.
Thanks. I thought the silver bromide was just another crafting mat.
You know those dumb underwater horses? They drop a weapon super often that can be disenchanted into gold. It's not super effective but it's the best method that I've found so far.
I need art of this stat.
You can do the thing and have the thing done to you.
>the game doesn't crate an image in the game files when you get your photo taken
a missed opportunity
>the photo is of your character with the current cosmetics, colors, and hairstyle
>if the train pass doesn't match your current Miriam you aren't allowed in
God damn I want this now.
Ruinous Rood + Standstill
Mastering a technique makes it usable on all versions of that weapon type. So if you grind mastery, you can use that technique on every katana
Katana has the most techniques with 6. The next most is sword with 4 iirc, and one of those is unique to a specific weapon. Everything else has only 1 or 2 techniques.
What did she mean by this?
He doesn't threaten him in japanese.
Whatever she meant I wish it were meant for me.
Problem is that it's super expensive to get alchahest too.
>whips only get 1
kinda mad to be honest, whips could use something that can be used in the air and has better coverage above you
The real missed opportunity is instead having you disguise yourself as OD to get on the train using his identification.
Can you find him more than twice?
Killing ghosts is easy and fast though.
Take the chest at twin dragon, take your photo in the village and then go to alucard in the library
Yeah I'm pretty annoyed there wasn't a whip tehcnique to do that jiggly swirl thing from super Castlevania, or some sort of overhead, or even an item crash that sets whip on fire
kill portraits or ghosts
i go to the twin dragon tower and farm the portraits there
I got a lot of alchahest from paintings
Isn't there a sword that has a unique technique not listed on the tech menu?
Nice, I need portrait shards too, will farm them.
>Not constantly spamming Teps Osceus forever, not even needing to fight enemies through your cloud of chain lightning thanks to Words Of Wisdom
Valkyrie sword
You need to master all other techniques to use it
Those upgraded red ghosts from the desert area drop 2x alkahest fairly often so that might be a solution for you
Bandit Sword has a unique tech that other swords can't use, but it's still listed.
Also, any elemental sword gets an added projectile on their quarter-circle forward attack.
you find him 3 times total
it's the most hidden thing the game, I noticed that space but never thought of using dimension shift to reach it
What carries over and what doesn't carry over in NG+?
everything besides plot progression shards and Zangetsuto
All the shards that are needed for exploration (double jump, reflector ray, dimension shift) don't
The chest is visible with Eye of Horus.
You're using the mithril as a whetstone, all you need is access.
Most things carry over including your levels, but plenty of things don't. Aegis Plate, keys, books, Bovine Plume (so that you don't craft High Jump right after getting Double Jump), all story shards used for progression, including Blood Steal and Aqua Jet etc etc. They will keep their Rank when you re-obtain them, but not Grade.
never used the Eye of Horus, does it have any other uses besides finding this chest?
Not really, it just zooms camera out so you can see more.
It lets you see Zangetsu in the ending cutscene instead of just his shadow.
>30fps
>not even stable
>want higher fps is related to autistic
>want mobility
i guess you want to jogging too while playing bloodstained ? i guess go ahead then
When does True Arrow stop being OP as fuck? I've beat pretty much every boss so far by spamming it. I have it at rank 6 and grade 3 and the reflector boss went down in 75% of my mana bar.
Never.
Spells like Welcome Home and True Arrow remain OP even at endgame.
Until you get Tis Raiff (and Tis Rozalin which is crafted from it). Holy element trumps everything in this game. Both are very useful to drop late game bosses.
They only stop being OP when you decide to level up something else to be OP in their place. Rank up the train boss arm and you can basically punch an entire room full of enemies.
>OD one shot me with za warudo
Holy shit, he's way harder than Sex Nun and Bael.
That never stops being true for 90% of the spells. As long as you have mana you're golden.
It's less true on Nightmare mode, but still exists.
Nun/Bael ar esuper easy in comparison to several of earlier bosses. I mjust steamrolled last boss with almost no HP loss.
The UI for this game is incredibly similar to Order of Ecclesia. The weapons even looked similar to how Glyphs were animated, but everyone keeps saying it's like SOTN?
How does the Boss Rush Mode rewards work?
First I did each course on normal and got 1x 16 and 32-bit coins
Now I did both courses on hard and only got 2 Ethers?
is it by your time or beating your records?
what are the boss medals?
The coins are a 1 time only reward for the 1st time you beat both courses, if you want more you're gonna have to buy from the shop
Just big dick tokens to show off. They have no real purpose.
big pp points for no damage
how do i obtain them? beat bosses without getting hit or what?
ye, no dmg = big ppp
>nothin personell, geberu-san
Yes. No damage and no touch too.
i'm running this with portrait, the lightsaber, and i'm fucking shreking
is it a one time only reward per character or globally?
Seems kinda bullshit, by that point in the game I'd rather just do bossrush a few times than something as menial as grinding gold.
Of course you had to style on the guy.
By that point in the game you sgould've been able to conjure 100k gold from thin air in several minutes tops
If you switch to Spiral Sword in the middle of any other weapon attack you get multi-hit.
FFXI reference? I did actually have that back in the day, 3 hits makes sense given ridill would randomly attack 2-3 times. Hard to tell whats a reference though as some of these swords are all based on legend as well. Almace and Caladbolg are in FFXI as well but the ridill i can see being a direct XI reference for sure.
How do I get the classic spaghetti for the hungry granny? It isn't where internet guides said it would be.
Getting Ether as a reward is also bullshit. I don't think I used a single one through the entire game, and your MP regen eventually gets so fast that running out is barely an inconvenience.
>If you don't think this is annoying you're a bigot
I don't give a single fuck if my character is an open niggerfaggot but if most of the characters development is based around explaining your sexuality it's just boring and annoying.
I just killed the Twin Dragons, and now I don't know where to go. I think I have to take the trains, but I don't know what skill it wants me to use there
This, hard mode think its being cheeky by throwing them in the galeon, but all it's doing is giving you a fountain of EXP (45 is no joke early game and they die in one hit) plus access to a grade 9 familiar before you finish the damn tutorial area.
It trivializes a lot of the challenge to have them on, including casual filter Zangetsu
The cycling shorts is kinda ruining it for me.
I wouldn't mind if it didn't look horrible, Miriam would've looked better if she was wearing bloomers instead.
I'm not playing Timespinner because it was made by the same team as Starbound. Not getting ripped off twice!
>that you can stun by attacking
not so stupid
Open the golden chest, talk to bid tiddie sis and NotAlucard
Thanks, but I don't know what you're talking about. Isn't Gebel, notalucard?
I was a backer for Timespinner and I'm very disappointed with how it turned out. It totally fails to use time mechanics aside from a single puzzle where you burn a vine in the past to remove it in the future, is piss easy, has no meaningful exploration, and suffers from an absolute dumpster fire of a narrative. I really do not get upset if a character in a story is a minority, it's not a big deal, but when literally every single character aside from villains has a lengthy explanation about their sexuality, gender identity, and whatever else as soon as you dip your toes in their storyline, there's a problem. Add to this that the main character is wildly inconsistent, fluctuating between actually thoughtful and descending into berserker rage at a moment's notice, and you end up with a story that nobody in their right mind should give a fuck about. Shame on the dev for allowing this to happen with a project that had so much promise. It's really no worse to develop a character around their sexuality than it is any other trait, but when their entire character is only that one trait and nothing else, that's the bad shit right there. It shouldn't have gotten the thumbs up.
He's notRichter
Reminder if you aren't in NG nightmare mode you really got no right posting webms trying to show how badass you are.
blood grinder knight's death noise is hilarious to me for some reason
>EEEE
>OOOOoooo
he means OD, the vampire librarian.
he means O.D., he is voiced by the same actor who did Alucard in SotN
Literally the only boss that gives a medal that isn't immune to standstill is the first one
It's hilarious how the alchemic yellow shard + white version of it sometimes gives you x5 of whatever you crafted
literally the fastest way to get more of any mat is to craft something that uses it, hoping for the x5, and then dismantling it
>still getting my ass kicked by OD
Fug, what weapons/ shards are good against him? Right now for Directional I use the shield, that mostly takes care of his time stop attack.
I love that unlike other castlevania games they dont strike a dramatic death pose, just stand in there like aww jeez you kill me
all other variations of that enemy share that same death cry, so you will keep hearing it through the game
Nice witch getup, what makes your eyes glow like that and what scarf is it?
No damage bosses don't seem like much of an achievement when you can tear through them in half a minute.
Why pose before dying?
>Why pose
not gonna make it
Is this for early Crissaegrim?
I just call him Jables.
words of wisdom
>Literally just a reskin of the Dragon enemy.
More like a DEskin
I'm confused, why are all these shards white?
They become white-permanent once you level them to max
I'd also like to know what that bull is for.
Level as in both rank and grade?
Getting yellow shards to rank 9 will get you a white version that you can toggle as a passive as well. You can also have the yellow one active for double the effect. Doing this with Alchemic Bounty can net you 5 items per craft for instance.
make sure you have optimizer and mastery rank 9
craft literally any end game weapon
????
profit
(or be a bitch baby and craft rank 9 of any of the shards you can make)
Those are Skill Shards.
When you Rank up a Passive Shard to Rank 9, it becomes a Skill Shard, meaning you can have a shitload of Passive Shards active at once.
It should be a priority to get as many of your Passive Shards to Rank 9 as soon as possible. Most of them have very easy Shard Enhancement requirements.
And the eyeball painting.
The sword enemy also has an hilarious deatns
Only rank matters for making them permanent
Just rank, but you want to raise grade as well so you get the max potency from them.
Thanks, I've got some grinding to do it seems.
Directed Shield
Rank it up all the way and you can block anything OD throws at you.
i completely forgot of that painting
its so out of the way you never have to go back there when using teleporters to reach places of interest
Jusy keep in mind that making certain shards permanent makes the game super trivial.
A lot of things make the game super trivial.
But if can get QoL shit like Alchemic Bounty and resist ailments permanently on, I'll take them
But you can also disable all of them if you want to. Also it's far from the worst balancing act. Rhava Velar yo
Sure, but with maxed and perma regen and drain you effectivelly cannot die from anything short of suiciding on purpose.
Oracle blade seems somehow better to me, it also effectively hits 4 times but with far better range and coverage. Sure, the dps may be better in a situation where you stand and lash out with impunity, but Oracle Blade lets you actually hit shit without any hope of retaliation way more often.
>but everyone keeps saying it's like SOTN?
It's a OoE clone. It basically has the glyph system, but now they are split up into weapon and skill glyphs (orbs in this game).
So DoS?
Because weapons being magic is a pretty big difference and you also can't mix shards, which was a big feature in OoE.
Is it just me or did the max HP upgrades respawn?
They don't. Not to my experience at least.
Why is Celeste's room locked?
At that point of the game you're not exactly going for 100% map completion and there's nothing in there to give you an advantage.
I just got the one on to of the piano gazebo and I'm 100% sure I already got that. Some chests with recipes seem to have refilled too (with exactly the same recipe).
Then it sounds like some sort of a bug maybe? That certainly shouldn't be the case normally.
Blue chests always refill. Red ones don't. You may have gotten confused.
Recipes certainly don't, seems like a bug.
Recipe chests are green and they shouldn't refill.
I'd pay a visit to the rooms containing Silver Knights if I were you, just in case they respawned too
Backer room. It does not need to have a purpose, just like some rooms did in previous Castlevania games.
