There is no limit to what you can achieve by getting every little bit better at F-Zero GX. The skill ceiling is infinite and grants greater and greater magical powers, eventually spilling over into the real world.

There's nothing that plays like F-Zero. There's other anti-grav racers like Wipeout, and while generally fairly fast they don't really play the same. And just about every other anti-grav racer is modeled after wipeout. So F-Zero feels pretty unique

If you just want a fast racer, I'd recommend Ballisticng on steam, it's my current favorite. If you have a ps4 you could get the wipeout omega collection which is full of content

If you don‘t want complex mechanics and high difficulty, this genre is probably not for you. Although GX probably takes the cake in terms of hidden advanced mechanics, other games in the genre usually have their own execution barriers.
Maybe Star Wars Episode 1 Racer qualifies. That game is super forgiving outside of like 2 or 3 tracks and doesn‘t have particularly advanced mechanics. Meanwhile it still feels fast as fuck.

Past mashing strafe instead of holding it, Fast has no advanced mechanics I‘m aware of and still goes dizzyingly fast.

It‘s tool assisted. Basically the game stops every frame and allows the user to input the perfect commands for that frame.

They literally think they can't improve upon GX, so if there's anymore F-Zero it'll just be a port of GX anyway.
