Absolutely none. You can clear the entire game in one sitting if you're willing to stay up that long. You can clear the main story with just the free 3* characters and the single 4* (of your choice) that are given to you. The catch would be that dungeons that give you endgame gear and certain event bosses will require a team of 5*. If you're just in it for the story and gameplay and don't want to bother minmaxing, you can easily play the whole thing for free and drop it right afterwards.

Play Final Fantasy Dimensions 2 instead they literally use scrapped Chrono Break script as base of the game's story. Also it doesn't have gacha whatsoever

Yes and no. There's no pity system for gacha, so it's all luck. Your only guarantee is a 4+* if you do a 10-pull. The event bosses I mentioned are the only way to get 5*s for free. The fights are difficult, though I think two of them can be cleared relatively easily with 4* characters. Beating them will give you a 4* character that can be raised to 5*. Beyond that and a future patch which allows story characters to be raise to 5*, you're not getting any more for free.
