2B is the best character design of this decade. She's elegantly designed, not a stick but not in western-refrigerator style either. She has icon appeal, you don't forget who she is or what game she's from. She boldness and it comes from her simple high contrast aesthetic. Not overdone, like say nomura characters.
Other 10/10s are Marie Rose, Shanoa, Ryu Hayabusa, original Dante

theres something i really hate about squareenix design. maybe its "uncanny valley" but i think its somethimg beyond that, the peoportions being off in the worst way

Proportions being off in the worst way and uncanny valley are mutually exclusive. When proportions are off, characters stop looking realistic and uncanny valley becomes impossible because the barely perceptible distinction from reality can't exist.
