Video game consoles are expected to rise 25% in price
You know Trump's doing something right if the Big Three have to team up against him
rip poorfags
Fucking based. Fuck Chinks and the corrupt video game industry.
We need higher tariffs on Nintendo products
Based trump, Praise kek
If you play videogames fuck you for wasting your life.
>Trump is trying to do me a favor by getting rid of video games to do something more with my life.
based!
Says the person posting on Yea Forums.
Here's your (you)
Nah it’ll be the same for all your shitty gook consoles you snoyboy
fuck drumpf
So let me get this straight
America's economy is fucked, largely due to importing a shit ton of resources
Trump wants to fix that by raising tariffs and thus forcing companies to build shit in America, bolstering its economy and keeping the wealth inside America
And because this will raise prices for a few years people are screeching and moaning about how bad this is
We need a new world war
>prices on a non-necessity good rise slightly
>"Welp, the Changs won, guess we just need to accept forced technology transfer, spying, and theft now."
All the shit that would be build in America would cost more than 3 times the price because the reason is getting build in another country is so you can have a new iPhone every year. Not to mention that it would make a lot of people go into shitty and badly paid manufacture jobs instead of service industry. All of this would take literal decades to accommodate and it would result in a much greater economic loss than what you want to get back for “getting the jobs back to murica”.
>we need strong workplace safety, overtime, minimum wage and unionization laws
>also we need to outsource literally everything to slavery-infested dictatorships that don't have any of that shit
What did virtually every living politician including both "left wing" and "right wing" ones mean by this
good fuck them
hahahahaha
Trump’s coming for his voters freedoms!
So the only solution is to keep increasing our consumption rate, which will in turn increase service jobs?
Seems like a solid plan
Honestly, the biggest problem is what you said; people need to stop consuming and start reusing
>buying stuff made in the US isn't practical because you have to pay the workers too much
>also nobody will want to do the work because they won't get paid enough
Holy shit dude did you lose track of your own talking points halfway through your post
Republicans refuse to enforce or create laws for the top, they actively hate unions.
Those same Republicans run companies that outsource and pretend they’ll bring jobs to America but lie and pocket the money(see Foxconn in Wisconsin and Scott Walker)
Who cares? It’ll be my MAGA tax for all I care.
>No u
Compelling argument. If anything every "left winger" should fucking love the tariffs because it means labor might actually be done in places where labor protection exists, but the minute Trump suggests it every Bernie Sanders supporter turns into Ayn Rand
This might as well be a stickied thread since most people don't realize what kind of influence China has on the world.
>All the shit that would be build in America would cost more than 3 times the price
It might cost a bit more, but it wont cost 3 fucking times more. Not even the wildest anti tariff study would even argue that. Globalizationfags are so fucking delusional. Manufacturing also destroys the fucking service industry in terms of wages too retard.
MASTERRACE WINS AGAIN
NOOOO I CARE ABOUT POOR PEOPLE THAT'S WHY I NEED TO KEEP CHANG WORKING IN A SWEATSHOP FOR 50 CENTS AN HOUR UNTIL HE KILLS HIMSELF
>Now that corporations are getting fucked in the ass it's time to start crying about how this shit isn't fair to them
Fucking deserved, none of these companies are your friend and even Nintendo is just ass-backwards and unable to catch up with how cancerous everything currently is
>Video games becoming more expensive
Good. Keep the casuals out of my fucking hobby. The cheaper a hobby is, the more accessible it is. The more accessible it is, the more it will cater to getting a broader consumer base over quality of the actual hobby.
the best part about this is all the subtle flexing by the 3 companies throughout
>Outside of entertainment, Nintendo is often credited with making the frontfacing camera a ubiquitous feature on today’s smart devices through its Game Boy camera accessory.
this just in lads: nintendo invented the selfie
I want that to happen because it either fuels the revolution fire for China, or removes another soul wanted bugman.
Either way, it's not right for corporations to take disagreements with a governmental individual who did not get majority vote out on the people who didn't elect him.
You don’t seem to realize how much different between wages there is between shitfuckistan and the US. Teenagers in McDonalds earn more an hour than college educated professionals do in third world countries.
>consoles
Heh
Tariffs have never worked
Bush did the same shit with steel tariffs and it did jack shit
>lmao transferring all the factories and infrastructure from China and pay in USD x100 the wage of each employee would cost literally nothing bro companies are glad to absorb the cost.
Why do you think that most of all the automotives gave Trump the finger when he wanted to force them to bring the jobs back.
The biggest lie is
>if u cut taxes den more jobs!!
Companies will not hire simply because they have more revenue, they hire based on demand. It isn't
>I have more money, so I'll hire more people
It's
>Do I need more people? Yes? Then let's hire more people.
So what would you suggest instead?
America's current import and export strategies aren't working at all.
Submission because every possible scenario ends in the victory of a soul crushing oligarchic police state with a Chinese bent
It's like Geronimo asking "Okay but what tactic can we use to drive out the palefaces? Do we need different horses maybe?"
You dont understand how this works at all.
No it's more like
>raise tariffs
>other country says ok, then we'll raise tariffs on you too
>continue until eventually both realize this is retarded (this hasn't happened)
We are literally subsidizing the farming industry right now through tax dollars because farmers here can't sell their basedbeans to China
That's actually a perspective I hadn't considered before.
Maybe there truly is no answer.
I hope Russia and/or China will have mercy on America, because I don't want to learn Russian or Chinese.
>tariffs never worked
>threaten raising tariffs over China pulling their sneaky shit
>China tries to call bluff
>China makes some concessions when tariffs start to go up
>threaten raising tariffs against Mexico
>Mexico starts trying to write up deals to avoid them within the week
based and redditpilled
Explain it then, you double nigger.
>Endangering your alliances and worsening your long term economy for short term gains is doing something
You're retarded
nice goalposts leddit, go back to your fortnite streamers
> raising tariffs and thus forcing companies to build shit in America, bolstering its economy and keeping the wealth inside America
This is where you fucked up.
Good. Fuck 'em
You're a fucking idiot. The tarriffs on china are still in effect and they haven't conceded shit. The stuff with mexico were all things they were going to do anyway. gb2le_donald
It's backwards horseshit. The original Ford business model should be the example for how these things work. Pay everyone a decent wage to make products that your own workers can afford. Sell more of said product that way, and the entire community prospers. Then, corruption sets in, prices are gouged, and politicians demand payoffs to sign off on things, and the entire community suffers. Detroit used to be a nice city.
It doesn't matter because the more diverse a country gets the more inner turmoil it creates. We won't be a working country in 10 years time.
What Trump is doing is what politicians do when they are told to "do something!", but don't want to even recognize the real issue.
>he believes this
The burden of tariffs always falls on the consumer. Learn economics.
You have a very poor understanding of US history.
Welcome to Yea Forums.
user are you too stupid to follow reply chains? Too hard to do on your phone?
Clearly I'm just a retard who can't read. Whelp time to leave Yea Forums for the day. See ya
What the fuck, I thought Nintendo was run by right-wing yakuza, they should be glad the Chinese are getting fucked over
Alliances with a country that constantly steals from us makes lowkey military moves against us constantly and are all around cunts to there own population and environment?
Just shows that none of those companies give a single fuck about how China has trashed the world market with its currency manipulation schemes and Reliance on slave labor not even mentioning their rampant abuses and human rights violations. None of it matters just their bottom line and keeping you addicted and ignoring the reality of this world. Fuck them all.
>muh America was always diverse.
no it wasn't. The US was always a pan-European state. South Euros and Slavs was the extent of what was allowed, but Americans always preferred NW Euros.
What we have now is hyperdiversity and no state so wildly multicultural/ethnic has ever functioned. America is going to look lot less like "muh Scandinavian-socialism" and more like Brazil.
>muh white ethnostate
Dilate.
He's right you know. As recently as the 1960s, 85% of the country was white and most of the remainder lived in segregation.
Those guys landed on the moon and split the atom, what has diverse America accomplished?
And the benefits go to the US Treasury, domestic manufacturers, or, as is likely in this case, foreign competitors. This isn't a universal tariff, it's targeted against a country, which means there are strong incentives for investors to move capital to India, Vietnam, Taiwan, etc with similar wages which will result in negligible price impact for consumers and loss of employment and investment in the targeted country.
>PC wins again
LET'S GO PCBROS
NO ONE CAN STOP US
PC wins again
Yes. The solution to this should be reducing the ridiculous consumer culture that America has adopted, but those who don't mindlessly consume harm businesses, which is equatable to murder in the American legal system.
>what has diverse America accomplished?
being a consumer culture. Ever since America completely divorced its identity from race (any race) they devolved into selfish commercialism. This country was dead before we were even born.
>Praise kek
Go back.
>this romanticized biased history book sure sounds way better than today
>we should go back
Hey asshole - people are still alive who remember when a guy with a high school diploma could walk into a factory and get a job that would allow him to afford a stay-at-home housewife, three kids, two cars and a two story house. In a safe community where nothing was ever stolen, nobody was ever assaulted, and everybody more or less knew and got along with each other.
guess you should manufacture them somewhere else brah
