What are you on about user, the server is still running. Only the Yea Forums rooms have died. There is sadly no game to truly fill the void, but you could try playing Vanquish using advanced movement mechanics. You go fast and it looks cool. But it's not same. Nothing is.

I still play daily with my friends on remnants. I completely agree about the game dying before everyone got this good since the game became so fast paced and fun now.

Absolutely, DB was a complete shitshow with M14 EBRs, Burst fire rifles, pocket healer/sniper combo that could kill on headshot and my favorite grenade spam every 5 seconds in maps that aren't designed to handle it.

Bombs, rescue gun and a ton of other stuff ruin the game. There's no way to balance that out and they just outclass other weapons, essentially making them the MK II of their weapon class. Also, remnants doesn't seem to be p2p based, it feels very weird when coming from S4MAX/Official/S4C.

M8 none of those things get even close to the level of bullshit in S4 with all the broken P2W mechanics, wallhacks when you die (tracking), melee in general, the smash rifle, bombs and so on. People had to play a castrated, extremely restrictive version of the game in S5 to have some semblance of competitiveness.

Remnants removed the MkII weapons and everyone has pen stats. on the subject of those other weapons just adapt to them. Unless the opposite team is running bombs on every player a single player with bombs shouldn't be more than an annoyance. in the case of rescue gun users just kill them first or throw the dude with the ball off the map so the healing is useless.

They didn't remove the rocket launcher, iron boots, dual magnum(auto-aim + knockback), fist (which are able to keep you consistently in a flinch state which is something the spy dagger can't do), custom skills which skew the balance even more and I'm sure I'm forgetting others. Rescue gun heals for 100HP on a critical and you can leave them on the ground for your team to pick up for a slightly minor heal, it's the go to weapon for tournaments.
