>be me playing stronghold 2
>spend 3 hours to build the fucking economy.
>random bandits come out of nowhere and kill king
>playing different map and repeat process
also I hate the maps where I have to siege castles, I just suck at keeping my troops alive.
Stronghold 2 is not the worst in the series but it's not the best either.
Did you play first one and Crusader?
Has no else played warrior kings? I can only find a small group on steam.
crusader only , now I want to play crusader 2.
stronghold legends was meh
I liked stronghold 2 for the amount of buildings , could make castles look pretty nice.
I liked Stronghold 2 for the concepts it tried, same with some of Stronghold Legends, but they just failed to be implemented properly imo. They could've worked, just not the way they were put into the game. Wish they gave it another shot. It's unfortunate the best games in the series are the first two and they never managed to capture the essence of success again. I think going 3D was the biggest mistake, honestly.
Did you see the announcement?

WTF? I have to try it atleast.
>Play Banished
>Begin building a cool city, have a main hub and smaller sections around the forest, the river or the hill for foraging, fishing or mining
>Growth is steady
>Always accept travelers in small numbers (+10 citizens max)
>Build a new district with both forest and river for maximum food production
>Population still low so it's inhabited
>Travelers arrive
>+190 citizens, my city had around 700
>The jobs are open, no problem?
>Something goes terribly wrong
>40 citizens die together after a month
>Not enough food
>Some important figures died
>begin replacing them
>more deaths for food because people arent experienced foragers
>drop to 200 citizens
Fuck me i guess.
How do you get new people in Banished? Do you need a trade port or something?
I'm not too sure. I always had em. Perhaps trading port or just a road connected to the map edge?
I don't know the exact name but it's something you connect to a main body of water to trade with merchants. Do you have a road leading to the edge of the map for some reason?
Well, sometimes the spoiler happens. I mean, if i go that much north, i might aswell add a road to outside. It just satisfies my autism.
you lads ARE playing the Colonial Charter mod yes? vanilla is garbage.
>no one will ever make another Knights & Merchants game
Anyone played War Wind 2? Such a weird game, not just because of the setting, but mostly because of the gameplay.
What's so special about it? Saw it in passing, no I'm not
adds more buildings, more production chains, and aesthetic placeable items. also more map generation options. It is an all around improvement over the base game.
Well shit, think I'll have to get it.
I usually burn out the vanilla before adding any mods
Honestly, with Rimworld it worked. With Banished, not so much.
what is there to burnout in banished vanilla? it is so bare bones.
but I am used to the anno and settler series so I may be biased
Yeah it looks like shit. I'll stick to Stronghold 1, Crusader, and Cossacks 3 for my rts needs for now.
My favorite old RTS right here
best game
Looks like Knights of Honor? Couldn't really get into it myself.
Yeah, had CD long ago, had it pirated too. Was ok game.
It's Tzar
Liked music in this one a lot.
Also, random items you find remind of that old korean rts - Primitive wars.
