>18 dollars even on sale
Well, guess I won’t be giving this game a try. Shame, always wanted to
18 dollars even on sale
>la creatura
>muh guns
>muh sjw's
There's your thread, now let it 404.
>18 dollars is a lot
Must suck being such a poor worthless nigger you can't afford something that will likely bring you many hours of entertainment that you always wanted.
>Played subnautica for free on egs
It's incredibly boring. If you want a nice survival game with tension of the unknown I reccomend the long dark. If you get a good roll on survival mode the game is a nice and comfy loot the apocalypse kinda thing, you get time and opportunity to prep up for some of the more difficult areas and get a lot of really nice exploring done
If you get a bad roll and end up in an advanced area it's a constant battle for warmth as you desperately try to find your next cave, cattail and squirrel. This is broken only by the occasional dead body or stand off with a wolf.
You’re not missing much. You can get the superior underwater exploration game for 5 bucks at GameStop. Sequel for 10
Im sorry but 18 dollars is a lot of money to play with some virtual water. Just because someone is frugal doesn't make them poor user. It's usual the most frugal who end up with the most money.
Anyone else feel like Steam sales get worse every year?
I fucking loved the 1st one when it came out but never played the 2nd one
Life is short. If you are interested in something then $18 isnt too much especially something that likely ptivides 20+ hours of entertainment. I am a frugal person myself, but cheap is cheap.
Pirate it then you retarded donkey
Nope, just you.
So is this game any good?
Did you really just make a thread to whine about that you have no money and are forced to sleep on the bench in the park?
Is the Ps4 version still unplayable or has it been patched?
>didn't got it for free on the epic store
Just fucking pirate it if you don't feel like supporting the devs.
It's a top notch, atmospheric game with a really solid 20 hours of content. How the fuck is $18 too much?
tfw bought it for 5$ in russian region ))))
>You’re not missing much. You can get the superior underwater exploration game for 5 bucks at GameStop. Sequel for 10
>I fucking loved the 1st one when it came out but never played the 2nd one
I want a game like this where you explore vast Lovecraftian underwater weirdness. No danger just exploration, mood and atmosphere!!!FACT!!!
>swim around for 2-3 hours
>finally start getting ready to build base
>have had fun fucking with wild life so far
>build tiny room
>realize there's basically nothing to do with it
>can't build a research station or anything
>mfw realizing there's really no upgrade/research system based on wild life, making them basically pointless
>now I have to focus on making big ass submarines to go deeper
>no longer having fun
If this game dedicated less resources to fucking autismo minecraft base building maybe they could have fleshed out some of the systems to make this game's progression actually enjoyable and not just a sequence of fetch quests.
>Literally no incentives to explore Dunes, Crash Zone, Mountains, etc
It's absolutely worth 18$ imo.
It has major problems with bugs that may never be fixed but the gameplay/exploration/atmosphere is on fucking point.
Shame that this game was just the "infinite monkey on infinite typewriters creating Shakespeare" for the studio because with Below Zero, the devs showed everyone that they have absolutely no fucking idea what made the original great.
Just pirate it.
How far along is below zero? I only played a tiny bit and it was barely a game, had like 3 areas and everything else was just geometry with white textures.
subnautica doesn't have much exploration that actually matter, you just go to the two islands and the deep cave, make the submarine and go deeper in that cave, go to the crashed spaceship, and thats all. base building is nothing beyond having a storage area and a battery charge station
How did they fuck up Below Zero? Besides F*moid voiced protag?
also fuck the underwater drilling suit, that thing stinks
Could have sworn I got this shit for like $5 - $10 years ago.
Dios mio...
Mi abuela me contó sobre esto. La historia de la criatura americana.
based
la monstra de la americana
Gracias, sentí que debía advertir a los demás.
It’s worth $18 at least. But go ahead and be a faggot
It’s a shitty indie game. Doesn’t deserve to be anything over ten dollars and everyone knows it.
Was free on Epic store
You can pirate 1.0 since it got little to not updates since release, it's been free on epichinkstore for a long while, its been on Steam for years and at full price its worth like a medium sized pizza with soda. What the FUCK was your excuse?
Got it free on Epic store. It's shit and boring, I got bored after about 30 minutes
It was free on the Epic store awhile back. What is wrong with you people? I see games free on GoG.com and other places, then I see posts on Yea Forums a month later asking if they should buy the game that was JUST FREE.
I haven't played it myself so this is second hand from people that shilled out money or pirated it
>worse sound design
They fired the fucking genius who did the Subnautica sound design over tweets and have someone else try to work what he left behind into BZ. All the new original shit is generic as fuck and adds nothing to the atmosphere
>exploration
It's fucking dead. Early few hours are heavily railroaded. The rest is the common complaint of "Subnautica was too linear" on steroids. With Subnautica, there was at least the incentive of new technologies, background lore, materials or just interesting places to look at. In BZ, if it's not part of the main story railroad, then there's fuck-all
>atmosphere/isolation aspect
You're no longer isolated because you constantly have your character and her sister with their """""funny""""" quips.
The alien thing is with you all the time and, albeit sorta weird, it's still a lot more human than your PDA was.
The enviroment is no longer your enemy, now some Altera higher-up is painted as this dislikeable "oh I wanna get back at him" guy.
They (at least partially) understood how the isolation aspect was a major part of the game because of one (un-important) PDA message.
At some point it tells you how it's normal to adopt a pet and to humanize an inanimate object which can only trigger once you got the Moonpool built and therefore requires you to be a bit into the game. And I haven't talked to a single person about this game that wasn't stumped by that message because it made them realize that they themselves did that. Which, in turn, made them realize how truly alone and isolated the character was.
Hope that this autistic mess is somewhat readable/makes sense.
These are just the main points from the first 1-2 months of it being in early access. Haven't really been up to date on it since because I'm not interested unless all these major problems get fixed.
game needs a horror focused sequel that veers off into the open, deep ocean
Imagine patrolling 10000m depths with the cyclops, with only the occasional bio-luminescent creature providing any source of alien light. Imagine the monstrosities lurking in the deep.
>game set outside of the arctic zone or the crater made by capable people
A man can dream.
that's kinda what it is like in many parts of subnautica anyway. you need the sonar or you have no idea what is outside.
fuck you don't put those thoughts in my head
>trapped on an alien planet with hostile wildlife that wants to kill you
>noo don't shoot them nooo pls :( NO GUNS
The virgin subnautica vs the chad factorio
Remarkable how people are able to make such obviously terrible decisions. Can't imagine what was going through their heads.
I think I got this for free
FPBP
>always wanted to
no, if you wanted to you could've pirated it
you are just another shitposter
HOLY SHIT GUYS...................................... THEY POSTED IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY POSTSED THE MEME HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
*ahem*
It's free AFAIK.
>2019
>Still uses pirate bay
yikes
Based
Cringe
this game is great. 18 dollars is nothing, absolutely worth it
Not even /int/ posts that shit anymore, get some new material faggot.
It's still the best around.
Unlike all other trackers, TPB never dies.
if you cant afford it just pirate it.
That’s exactly how I felt. In an effort to preserve the tension, they completely gimp what you should be capable of both in terms of violence and science. Once the mystery is gone, the game is just a pretty fishbowl
Pirate it. The devs don't deserve your money. Not because of pol boogeymen, but because they abandoned the game unfinished after rushing the release to work on their next cash grab.
Guy who own it and got it Early Access here.
It really is considering the state being what it is (plenty of glitches and visual problems) and fact they dropped it like hot potato to do the Inferior Arctic version and had it free on ChinkStore, it is a should gone down to 9.99 for the sale.
Minimum.
Honestly if they intended to have it be Anti-Gun they botched it cause it just made appreciate Guns more. I think it is intended to be more Anti-Capitalist since the company is what is denying you guns AND actively putting your in debt just for actively trying to return to them.
The STRONG INDEPENDENT BLACK WOMAN protagonist(s) in Sub-Zero just reinforeces that sentiment, but hey, no reason it can't be trying to do both.
Bought it when it went out of Early Access. Friend let me try it out one day in class and I was hooked.
Have not tried or purchased Below Zero because I felt a sequel was unnecessary.
It's funny how they managed to fuck up that anti-gun sentiment because you can either weaponize suicide bomber fishes or just punch shit to death which is way more violent than just shooting someone if you ask me.
By far the best survival crafting game there is.
i found the limited inventory space and crafting mechanic to constantly get in the way
i also made an air pump and pipes and the game implied i could place the pump and attach pipes in some manner but it never explained how, and that really bugged me
I didn't mind noguns but killing fish with the knife yielded nothing or they'd swim faster than me away before i could inflict too much damage
overall it didn't resonate with me yet though i'm still plucking away at that save on occasion
It's a buggy mess with zero replayability that also drops off in the latter half.
Not worth any more than $7.99 imho.
I tried it but the graphics are so shit I could not immerse myself.
Have they announced a release date for the sequel yet?
EGS chads rise up, we playing for free
November 2020.
WHY U NO DOWNROAD EPIC RAUNCHER GREILO
WE TRY TO GIVE YOU FOR FREE
Honestly my issue is how much is actually pointless, like the pumps and pipes you mentioned, basically a waste of effort because it is better to just get the Seamoth ASAP since it is basically a portable Airbubble and the Seaglide is more then enough to reach areas where Moth and Bay parts are, and really the investment of time needed to craft and place pipes isn't worth it at all.
The loss of terraforming was also a pretty major hit that made basebuilding less fun, not to mention you can't even fucking flip base parts.
Farming was also overpowered as hell, a bed costs nothing and solves all water/food problems, possibly energy too if you are going Bio Energy Route (I prefer having my main base on the surface and go solar power to not need to micromanage.) and basically renders Water Filtration and Fish Farming (and then using Salt from Water Filtration to salt fish) pointless. That the Cyclops can fit a farm does not exactly help.
I want this game with a fucking gun seriously. At least a fucking spear gun. Why cant I have a fucking spear gun?
I played conan exiles and subnautica for about the same length of time before stopping outright
despite obviously being the shittier game, i enjoyed my time with conan a lot more. subnautica felt more structured and looked prettier but it also felt more sterile and i felt like i was having my hand held in the wrong places and being left with no info where i would have liked a bit of guidance
How does it feel to know that Steamcels are still paying 66% while Epic chads got it for free months ago?
I liked the game but you are right. Base building is pretty weak. Cant even paint buildings. No matter how many bases you build they all look the same. Game has no replayability.
>he loss of terraforming
When was this going to be a thing?
As much as I liked Subnautica the one thing I kept thinking as I played was ''I wish someone would take this idea and make it better''.
During alpha
9:13. You could make your own island but the developers cant code for shit and this killed the framerate. Was removed.
I played it on the pirate sale
It wa supposed to be a major part of the game and it's still accesible with certain commands I think.
But then they realized that they can't program for shit and that their game barely runs as is.
Early Access thing, it was dropped "To raise performance" when it was clear it was having a negative impact when the game had to remember that you had dug a hole and having the whole system in place. Fun things, it took ages for them to actually make the world "Static", so performance lagged for a long ass time even though they removed the "Terraformer" too and ability for buildings to modify terrain.
I should not we only had the "remove shit" part in order to dig when they decided to remove it, im pretty sure the plan was that we were going to be able to make more soil and therefore islands and shit.
There are many reasons to be peeved at the Devs and not just the Guns and Goblins stuff, game is basically "Broken Promises" out the ass, that they made Sub-Zero a "Stand Alone Expansion" (Read: New Game with heavily reused assets) rather then a actual expansion like people thought it should be does not help either.
I agree with your post, but water filtration and fish farming is absolutely not pointless.
It is more time consuming but put a few large filtered waters and salted peepers into your prawn storage and you don't even need to build a cyclops until the end of the game for the rocket component.
Same actually, i like the filtrations, but they are pretty resource heavy to make.
The expansion announcement really made them look like a bunch of cunts. Base game still had bugs, glitches and balance issues.
>grab fruit tree
>plant it
>food and water issues are now solved for the rest of the game
What the fuck.
what I liked about subnautica was that you have to go deep. and then deeper. after that even deeper.
not gonna lie to jump down into the pitch black abyss the first time was a good vidya feel.
Just pirate it, the devs are cunts but it's a solid game
It runs like complete shit and gets worse the further you get, also there's a frequent bug where you spontaneously clip outside your sub and the water doesn't exist so you take falling damage.
Also the game doesn't need guns because nothing is really a threat and fighting fish is a huge fucking waste of time. If I need catharsis I just ram them to death with my Seamoth.
Probably not worth playing outside VR. If you're not a thalassophobe it's a joke.
Pirate that shit, faggot
seething shills
It was very scary the first time. Great first impression until you realize the only things that can kill you are in specific parts of the map and everything else is easy to dodge or looks very dumb and cartoony. After that all the fear of diving deep goes away.
This makes the game sound terrible
>the game is fun if you keep restarting until rng is on your side
Sounds like a shitty frustrating game.
The bugs pissed me off.
I lost like 3 prawn suits due to glitching through the seafloor terrain and falling past the crush limit.
I also watched some guys let's play where he left his cyclops and fell to the seafloor and died of fall damage, and again where he fell but didn't die so he couldn't get back to his sub.
#team_bulbo
or
#team_melon
Which is the superior crop?
I downloaded it from EGS and run it through Steam using the -EpicPortal flag
So glad I didn't pay for it though, it's jankfest.
I am a shill? The game looks fucking terrible to me but $18 is nothing. He said he wants it. What's the problem?
used to be lantern fruits until they nerfed the shit out of it, now I'm a melon boi
Bulbo always
The steam sales have been shit for years I just check to see what games have nice rips and play those instead.
Melons. I'm a man after all.
But I understand that some of you need more phallic food.
>concept art looks better than the final product
What other games are like this?
Basically every game
every single game in existence
All of them?
Bulbo trees are superior imo. Just cut it and then put one back if it runs out, which it doesn't very often.
For melons you tend to have leftover seeds unless you farm them in groups of 5, which is just awkward. It's also hard to hit them sometimes with the knife.
Literally every video game ever made.
wait, what, you can use a bed to sleep off hunger and thirst? I though the bed was one of the pure decoration objects.
It was free like 2 months ago on china launcher. This devalues the product, hard. Also, they dropped this one to go work on the sequel, which again devalues the first game, as the second is already being worked on/out to the public
That is my bad, i meant growbed, IE: the square Indoor/Outdoor "Pots".
Just have one pot with bulbo and other with melons depending on if you need more water than food atm dumbasses
The survival mechanics in this game are such unmitigated garbage anyway if I had to do it again I'd probably play on the setting that lets you ignore them.
>that giant skeleton in the deep cave is a common enemy
>there is no "reaper grabs the ship and shakes you around" bs
>all you see is a giant set of jaws emerge from the blackness and swallow your sub whole
Its a base building and exploration game. Theres not as much a focus on survival, as all the hunger and food mechanics are just an annoyance and not really built upon. The only progression is tied to exploration, you build a new watercraft to be able to explore deeper to get a thing that lets you build another watercraft to explore more. Its barely a survival crafting game.
>tfw they'll never make that one biome populated by algae that pulls down you and your vehicles if you turn on the lights
And the base building part is largely obsoleted by the cyclops and the fact that none of the areas are worth hanging around for long.
The game largely has the right components, it's just configured incompetently.
I just went with melons, don't think I ate any of that palm thing
>I only head from my friend's borother's accountant but trust me everything is so bad
>you constantly have your character and her sister with their """""funny""""" quips
Until her sister dies partway through the game.
>have melon in pot of four
>take three melons, eat
>harvest last melon, get four seeds
>plant four new melons
>At some point it tells you how it's normal to adopt a pet and to humanize an inanimate object which can only trigger once you got the Moonpool built
That was in the first game too, dipshit.
To be fair the game as it is, is still radically unfinished, as BZ stands right now it's barely 15% of the previous game
I will admit though that I wasn't as blown away by BZ as I was by the first game. Also the snowfox hover bike thing is fucking trash
yeah I think he actually referred to the first game bro
om nom nom
>As much as I liked Subnautica the one thing I kept thinking as I played was ''I wish someone would take this idea and make it better''.
THIS. SO MUCH THIS.
The ideas were there, they were just all implemented in such a simple and lackluster manner. Given how lauded and successful it was I hoped that some actually competent devs would take the idea and run with it but, alas, so far no.
It's just not that scary honestly.
Even the roars are bearable.
You need to fear the noise, that's why the reapers were so iconic, the sound
Getting the supplies to build a fully functioning base is the first challenge. The upgrades are not based on wildlife, no. They're based on scanning salvage and broken pieces of technology littering the environment near wrecks, primarily. Don't act like there isn't a system of unlocks at all. That's just not true.
Really that and that she's black are the biggest complaints I see.
I see complaints about rail roading but it's literally just the first hour or so of the game, how quickly you get through it depends on how stupid you are(so far).
Game sounds the same.
People are just gunna shit post on it real hard due to memes, forgetting the bug fest and unfun time line of the first game and it's early access fiasco.
well there's a spoiler
Well I couldn’t get immersed in Subnautica because everything looks like it’s from a Pixar movie
what sucks is that the fragments and databoxes are located in fixed areas instead of being randomized.
>Why isn't my eastly access game complete???
Love to see what Pixar movie looks anything like Subnautica.
Here you go, guys, this should make you all REALLY angry.
Imagine Subnautica with actual water physics where pressure actually matters.
Yes, the lack of randomness in the game really does limit replayability to a degree.
The thing that gets me more is the fact getting endless sustainable food is too easy. Growbeds are easy mode, and fit in every fucking room in the game, require no power or limited resource, and easily provide enough seeds to never run out. And most food refills your water gauge too. Sure makes those meters trivial once you find the floating island.
When the worst imaginable underwater creature was... you, the player all along...
Dios mio
el abominacion del los mares...
I don't give a fuck that the protag / deuteragonist is a PoC female. I give a fuck that BZ isn't as good as the previous game.
She talks and you'll get to watch it.
If you want a good survival game, just buy fucking Darkwood. It's scary, and doesn't gimp you on weapons to make a political statement.
So?
That completely destroys everything that made the first game good.
It might not
Well then, please tell me about your positive experience. I want BZ to be good because I really liked the first one but if I hear the same shit from everyone in /vg/, I'm fairly certain that it's accurate.
I vaguely remember this game. What was it called again? The gameplay wasn't the greatest, but it was a good tech demo at least. It's a shame nobody ever builds a great game on top of something like this.
I was using that as an example for why the first game was good. Learn to read you fucking nigger.
my only issue with this is how poorly modeled it is, looks worse than a Sims 2 character
La creatura de la Kharaa...
hydrophobia i think
Once you learned that if you can hear them, they see you their roar gets even more effective.
This post is fairly based
that's a "horror" game, completely different
shitty game with shitty devs, releasing another early access game before this one was finished
seriously what is up with the summer sale this year guys, its usually meant to be the sale that puts all others to shame with everything being like 90% off
but this year everything is like 50% off and there's no major "holy shit praise lord gaben" bullshit
the only notable game ive seen finally accepting its death is dark souls remaster that has hit rock bottom at 90% off
not even fucking mankind divided went below 90%, it sits on 85%
jewish as fuck
>listening to people on Yea Forums
Well there's your problem.
Hydrophobia Prophecy
That's the one. Thanks. Holy fuck that was 9 years ago.
>fear of the unknown
>the long dark
Does the game evolve from burning books and hiding from wolves and shit into some eldritch horror shit are you just making shit up?
my issue is more she ain't stranded or anything, she's just like some cunt going on an extended holiday with all the backup and team support she needs
in comparison to the lonely first game where they used the "you are alone" excuse to not add multiplayer, now they have no excuse with 2 but they still won't add it, cunts
>the only but very well-made lewd picture of Riley in bliss being pinned between a Reaper Leviathan's body and its penis
Then you'll be glad to know the Vesper gets infected with Kharaa and explodes leaving her stranded and alone
that's a start at least
>Chilling in research lab analysing sample of alien flora when there's a loud crash and the lights go out.
>Emergency power kicks in an a red siren starts blaring declaring a hull breach.
>Start running down the corridor towards control room when you're hit with a wave of water that pushes you back.
>Fight your way through to the control room where you close the bulkheads to the damaged area.
>Base stops flooding but you still need to repair the damage so have to grab your scuba kit and exit out the port airlock.
>Swim around side of base unsure of what caused the damage and if the danger is still lurking in the shadows around.
>Find the damaged area and weld it shut while looking over your shoulder.
>Damage is repaired but base section is still unpowered so have to swim around and inside now flooded part to reset the breakers.
>Power is restored and bilge pumps start clearing the area of water as debris sloshes around inside.
>You look out the porthole and see two glowing eyes watching you from the unexplored depths below.
It's a horror game, but it kicks the ass out of most "survival" games that come out. You don't need to micromanage annoying crap like hunger or thirst, and exploration comes from a natural curiosity and need for resources.
Plus, the night time parts will make you piss yourself. And, once again, the devs aren't cucks that don't add guns because "muh mass shootings."
>a hat in time is still $30 usd
>only on sale for 50% off
damn indies really jewing it out this sale huh
>TPB never dies
Wrong. TPB never stays dead. There's a difference.
Thoughts on the Shadow Leviathan?
That looks retarded.
Fucking nemo
Maybe that’s not Pixar though.. my point is it looks too animated and the monsters just aren’t that scary. Even though Endless Ocean has shit graphics I feel like it did a better job at being spooky when it tried to be.
So like every other creature in the game.
Whoa so scary bro it’s like an underwater centipede whattttt
That's racist
Meanwhile in Subnautica you have to build/deconstruct something just to find what your current hull value is but fortunately your character is personally immune to water pressure
>Literally every single leviathan
>"Dude just make it like an eel sort of thing with a weird face"
Why are these people so creatively bankrupt?
why does it spas out like that?
I got it for free day one, though.
They can barely code as is. If they tried to make a giant crab monster, your computer would catch fire trying to process it.
The only Leviathans like that are the Reaper, Ghost, and Shadow. Meanwhile there's the Reefback, Sea Treader, Sea Dragon, Sea Emperor, Chelicerate, and Ice Dragon.
They could probably competently animate a giant crab monster unlike their awful attempts at animating sharkeelbugs
Attack animation, video is also from when it was first put in.
He doesnt have a threatening look like the original leviathan. That guy had black eyes with fangs on his face and an angry look. This is meh.
Epic Mickey.
It'll never not hurt.
>something is only threatening if it's covered with spikes and fangs and has claws on its face
I can see you in the headlines now, "Man killed by bear after stating 'That's not scary or threatening, it's too fluffy'".
At least someone took that idea of old cartoons turned into machine freaks and made a game.
Are you trying to slander bears with propaganda? Are you deer by any chance?
Fucking Cyclops Dock when you shitty fucking hacks. It was the front of your trello for years and you went off to make DLC before you even fucking added it.
So many things abandoned because the guy in charge was more concerned with making a female protagonist than doing anything more with the game.
I heard pressure and hypothermia were a mechanic at some point but were removed. Is that true?
hot
The game lacks depth. You can experience all the game has to offer in 3-4 hours. Its also grindy. Its a cool concept but needs way more.
This. It needs more complexity, it needs more scope, and it needs more content. It's too shallow as it is but the devs are way too incompetent to deliver.
pressure is a mechanic already
making the human suffer from pressure means that travel depth becomes very limited if you don't have the power suit
Here's the cut content list.
>a game about exploring the deep ocean
>it's too fucking shallow
oh the sweet irony
It wasn't lost on me
Get rid of the glowing underbelly and I like it.
yes, but it is on the devs.
>What do you mean, it lacks depth? You go literally diving
as a shitty excuse to not optimize/add shit
That's its mouth.
Wasn't the Shadow Leviathan supposed to swim way below you and then shoot straight up at you?
Why dont you blow your dad for another hand out of pocket money?
it looks like some weird alien vagoo
You missed the giveaway on epic game store.
And its great in vr btw
The final act of Subnautica should've forced you to the Crater's Edge. There's little more unsettling than the endless depth with Ghosts just waiting for you
Imagine being enguled by it.
yeah, haha, imagine.
and the leviathan would have to birth you again and then feed you because it'd be your mother, haha
>making the human suffer from pressure means that bases matter and Subnautica is actually remotely dangerous later on, two major criticisms of the game
This game made me discover I'm absolutely fucking terrified of ocean depths. I had to turn off the fog, increase the draw distance as far as possible and murder every single leviathan I saw to make it through. There was a bit early on when I was swimming by the Aurora and the cliff just suddenly drops off into nothingness and you can hear a fucking reaper screaming at you. I stayed the fuck away from that ship for hours after that.
>Arctic
>The Arctic biome was never actually implemented into the game, but was labeled and even put onto the maps found in the game's folder during early development. The biome stayed through development for a long time before it was eventually replaced and scrapped. Very few leftovers of this biome exist.
>Inside the game files are multiple references to this biome, including old textures, biome ids, and even a cut Cold Water effect.
They took this cut content and sold it as an expansion?
I'm absolutely terrified of large open bodies of water to the point where they even fuck me up in videogames.
Beating this game was unironically a personal achievement.
Honestly having an Arctic area in the first game didn't make sense, seeing as you're in a tropical area on a 2km-diameter caldera. Plus they've made it as massive in size and scope in BZ as the world was in the first game.
i liked it a lot, waiting for the other one to get out of EA, game can be completed extremely fast but i enjoyed building bases
most vtards dismiss it because muh sjw boogymen and no weapons
game was free on epic game store, i suggest you pirate it
>and murder every single leviathan I saw
Just fucking zap/punch them or go around nigga, why would you spend more time with them than you need to
Boneshark niggers are more dangerous than leviathans fuck those guys
Dios mio, no puede ser... es la creatura de las profundidades...
It came out, friend
who are you quoting?
The fans overwhelmingly voted for a female protagonist, it was just the right time for a new expansio--I mean game
Sorry that I think having a laser cutter in ONE specific wreck site fucking sucks.
>overwhelmingly voted for
Things that didn't happen and then he deleted the poll.
You need it for many wrecks, not just the Aurora.
>How far along is below zero? I only played a tiny bit and it was barely a game, had like 3 areas and everything else was just geometry with white textures.
They added more shit but still wouldnt recommend playing it, i hope they remove the dialogue or at least fix the writting; the protagonist is a bumbling retard whose's response to have an alien A. I. on her brain is something along the lines of "OH MY GOD! LIKE, ALIENS AM I RIGHT LADIES?"
AHEM FANS OVERWHELMINGLY VOTED FOR A FEMALE PROTAGONIST ALSO THE CYCLOPS BUG IS NBD
Did you miss the part about being terrified? It helps to completely remove the thing that gives you an actual reason to be concerned rather than swim around KNOWING it's down there somewhere
>I'm scared of thing
>I'm going to swim up to it and stare at it for five minutes while I painstakingly file it down to base components with a butter knife
Maybe you're just stupid, they respawn too
autism
>the protagonist is a bumbling retard whose's response to have an alien A. I. on her brain is something along the lines of "OH MY GOD! LIKE, ALIENS AM I RIGHT LADIES?"
lol you cant be serious
Yes, killing every leviathan in the game with a knife is maximum autistic glad you're at least a bit self aware
He's not serious, you can look up the sequences and dialogue.
The fact that a whole AI can get downloaded into a brain is ridiculous already. And then they talk. And then she downtalks on the poor AI and teaches it the value of human life and shit. Oh so morally superior. Just waiting for a Trump reference.
>Intense fear the entire time I'm in this area
>Intense fear for about 2 minutes and then reduced fear the entire rest of the time I'm in this area
Exposure therapy is an extremely effective treatment for phobias btw. And no, they don't respawn.
not understanding that people want to kill a scary enemy to prevent the enemy from attacking out of nowhere, is autism
>The fact that a whole AI can get downloaded into a brain is ridiculous already
Maybe for a whitoid
OBSESSED
>The fact that a whole AI can get downloaded into a brain is ridiculous already
It's not an AI, it's the mind patterns of one of the Almanac, they explained how it worked in the first game. Also it's a trope that's been done throughout the history of fiction.
TRIGGERED
>Im sorry
No need to apologize for being a worthless and poor NEET
>arguing with tropes
Into the trash the opinion goes.
No it makes them a filthy fucking kike
>what you have to dive deeper than 100m!!!
Can I get an invite to the secret subnautica discord? I have some really good ideas for viral marketing
What would you prefer me to call them so your hyper autism isn't triggered?
I know you're used to dealing with braindead morons but that "NO U" doesn't actually work if the person you're talking to has half of a brain to work with. We all saw you get triggered over something that literally didn't even happen.
It's hilarious how Yea Forums thinks all discussion of video games is shilling these days.
>these days
Welcome traveler, welcome to Yea Forums and enjoy your stay
You need it in like 99% of wreck sites you absolute shitter
It's not about the deep ocean.
>the video game board has always thought talking about video games = shilling
So you're saying the place is even sadder than previously thought?
It's been like this for at least 5 years.
Why are you talking like someone who hasn't really been here for more than a few months tops?
Yea Forums has always been sub 90 average IQ filled with burned-out virgins
>tfw you will never watch your oxygen meter slowly tick down as you hide in terror from patrolling lobstermen
Actually sounds a little bit fun.
Dont let the mother leviathan voice at 5he start fool you, the cringe parrot will assault your ears right after.
>Just waiting for a Trump reference.
I bet the boss is the grumperdrumpf refference
Pic unrelated.
it's fun until you can't find the thing you need and there's no map to tell you where you have been, so you just swim around checking wrecks you have already been to, making sure it's not a new place
My first time crossing Yea Forums maybe 10 years ago was the exact same. Except back then they called it viral marketing
>18 seconds in
>muh vagina jokes
Oh no this is worse than I imagined.
Ten years is it now? Christ. I've been here for far too long.
I bet XCOM3 is going to be ultra gay and arid
I don't buy games anymore unless they're around $10 or less. I have a massive backlog of games that I haven't played so it's not like I even need to be buying games. Why should I spend money now and pay more when it'll take me a few years to get around to playing it.
>haha this is how twins talk, right?
>we are soooo good at da expositioning
The actual game has become pretending to be a video gamer: purchasing and collecting and reading about and discussing video games as if you were still a person who enjoyed them
Are ya winning son?
