They've always been hit or miss. I do think there were some quite good ones only recently, like the one where he is eating the wallpaper (especially in combination with the secret words).
No, the real webcomic tragedy is that Nedroid hasn't updated in more than 10 months now.
Nedroid almost always uploads infrequently. What manages to make his comics stand the test of time compared to other webcomics is he only makes comics of things he genuinely believes is funny instead of just pumping out random content.

I work with a ton of fucking mouth-breathers that can't possibly have have the mental acuity required to hold an inner dialogue because they can barely stitch together an outer dialogue.
