Before hacking the Switch

Before hacking the Switch
>have to carefully decide which game to buy
>watch videos, read reviews, make sure 100% it would be a game I'd like
>end up having a great time playing them
>library was small so could complete games one at a time
After hacking Switch
>start downloading games like crazy
>don't care what kind of game it is, even genres I dislike
>end up just playing for like 5 mins before moving to a different one
>library so huge now can't even decide which games to play
Being a pirate is suffering.

Did they ever create an emunand for switch?
Because I still want to play online.

It makes sense that a mass download might not give you the same satisfactory value as a game you really researched to see if you would like and it turning out to be great. I’m sure there are some in your list you would enjoy, so I’d stick with just one for at least two hours to see if it grabs you before moving on.

if you hack the switch can you put porn in it

>Have a switch
>Only got 2 games for it so far
why is switch's library such fucking garbage?

Why would you buy a console if there's only two games that interested you? Nobody's forcing you to buy the latest thing immediately.

Because I was bored and wanted to play those 2 games, which required a switch

This is what happens when we're exposed to too much media. Series, anime, games. It's the reason why stuff like Netflix or Game Pass is not perfect, even if they are excellent value services.

I feel the same about retro consoles that I did not have as a child. I bought a Saturn and just got a shitload of games for it, didn't play that many to completion at all.

After hacking Switch
>can't go online again, ever

>A Sataniafag can't even pirate properly without it being too much for them
Checks out

Is it hard to hack your Switch bros? Can someone help me out? Switch games are too expensive

Here's your easy mode bro

i googled it and it looks promising user, do you use it too? where do you get your roms? here? switch-xci.com/

>i googled it and it looks promising user, do you use it too?
Yes
>switch-xci.com/
Yes though sometimes they don't contain the latest update files so you'll have to go search for it elsewhere, most of the time they're on DarkUmbra.

can you hack the switch even at the latest firmware 7.0+?

Firmware version is irrelevant, it's all about your serial number. Basically if you bought your Switch before June 2018 iirc then it's hackable.

what games do you guy have for your switch? looking for some good switch reccs.

thanks

>tfw really want to hack my switch
>but don't want to lose access to smash online

same but for splatoon. worse thing is splatoon has no cloud save so it's harder to transfer save data

(different guy)
I bought a dreamcast just for the port of soul calibur.

i also pretty much bought the switch for zelda.

final fantasy 7 was the reason i stopped having hope in the n64 and got a playstation.

same but on pc

Well yes you already bought all the games that interested you and you didn't want to pay for games that didn't really interest you but you wanted to give a chance. Stop being a retard about it.

i checked my serial number and it seems like i can't hack it

Dumb Satania poster

So I could get myself another Switch, wipe that shit off and hack the old one without a ban? Unironicly Based!

Yes, serial number matters the most. Firmware is more a matter of (usually very short) time for hack groups to bypass. 8.01 took like a few days, 8.1 already has a bypass but it needs some fine-tuning. 7.0+ is fully hackable though. And I think in either case with the right serial number you can still downgrade to older firmwares (though it makes the process not so braindead easy anymore).

just download hbgshop

seething

SX OS has had emuNAND for a long time.
More relevant though: Atmosphere got emuNAND last week. Shit actually works properly, too (and its free).

>install an emunand setup
>play online with legit games
>pirate everything else
wow that was easy

Apparently SX OS has a thing called emunand, which basically emulates a firmware for you to play pirated stuff on (don't go online of course), and then go back to your 'legit nand' to play on your games you actually bought so you can go online.

This is why I never play my steam games. I get more playtime for my 60€ Mario yippee yahhoo than from 100 games on steam sales.

Cmon, op, don't be a bitch

Why are there so many fucking Satania threads lately

I honestly also bought a Switch just for XC2 and maybe Odyssey. On top of that, I guess I will give Hollow Knight a try (finally) even though I could've played that on PC. I bought it mostly for the upcoming games and I wanted a hackable one before they're all gone.
I think I'll also install retroarch and play those PSX games I've had on hold.

Thank you
Lastly, can the switch handle ps1 emulation yet?

SX OS has a stealth mode turned on by default so even if you're connected to wifi you won't get banned on the custom firmware.

Satania is stupid and she comes from a shit anime.

Yes, fullspeed, but depends on the game.
Generally sprite based games (valkyrie profile, suikoden, etc.) run perfect at full speed but most other games do too. You could have some stuttering with some "higher-end" psx games but if that ever happens you can just overclock your console (through retroarch, very easy to do) for that particular game. Maybe don't overdo it, though.
It is still in development but it will definitely be the go-to handheld for emulation.

>people actually think going online with pirated games gets you banned

i think it does but then again i've seen all these posts of retards going online with their custom firmwares for 6 months straight without a ban

t. Nintendo employee

Now you know why it's hard being a woman. Their lives are purely about being spoiled and having to contest with boredom.

I'm too paranoid to use it. I figure Nintendo can scan your machine being connected to the internet, sry if I'm being a brainlet overly paranoid about how internet works but I'd rather just install through USB than take any chances.

Im sold
I'll do it

It basically blocks all connection to Nintendo servers. Not that you have much use of the wifi anyway, I just use it to browse the homebrew app store but just in case you turned it on by accident it would still be fine.

yeah haha- like what could go wrong haha, bans are just a myth afterall haha

>not a Switch ban

I only want to play xenoblade 2 and try out splatoon
is it worth buying a 2nd hand used switch? as long as it can last me long enough for finish xenoblade, then I could probably resell it

fucking greedy ass nintendo releasing shit on their own console when ps4 games eventually goes to xbox while xbox eventually goes to ps4

you can get them from ebay for like $150 (tablet only) and hackable
alternatively, you could run an emunand setup if bans are your concern

I got a hackable Switch with everything that comes in the box from ebay for $270. Got it from what seemed to be some random non-chain store selling old Switches. Just ask them to post serial number because you're interested in what kind of particular model it is or some bullshit like that so they won't think about it much. Also ask them to take clearer shots of the screen or something if you care lots about scratches, and ask if the joycon has any problems. Half message back in a day or two, other half don't message, so don't get too attached to a particular model until you can confirm it has everything you need/want. Lots of them sell in like 3-4 days especially over the weekend, but more get on sale again over the weekend too. Best bet is probably to find that doesn't look too dinged up, unless you don't care and don't want to wait too long. Took me about a week of scouring ebay to find one in great condition.

Literally me.

most run fullspeed but some have issues, this is because there's no dynamic recompilic for ps1 switch yet but once that's out expect fullspeed on everything

found one in great condition too, paid about $170 for the tablet only though
no joy cons is ok, as I'd prefer new ones anyway, but no dock's a bummer
Still waiting on it however as ebay's GSP seems to be pretty shitty right now
