The reason you can't do JQ until after is because you don't canonically return to Eorzea until then. It will depend on how stats work out. Inner Quiet will still definitely be involved, but it might not require you to get all 11 stacks. I'm pretty sure you can get 3000 bonus control with IQ with CURRENT stats let alone level 80.

SAM you're training to 60, the 70 quests could be resolved by any combat. And all the gathering job quests are retarded.

You still have to cross-class to be optimal because Comfort Zone and Ingenuity II are practically mandatory at high level, and stuff like Hasty Touch, Waste Not and Manipulation are extremely useful at low levels. Plus, being able to make all your own interim materials is extremely valuable.

Tons of people asked about high-difficulty 4-man content during the media tour and Yoshi basically said that to make any more battle content than what they already produce they would either have to drastically elongate the patch release cycle or have twice as many personnel in battle planning, battle design and QA.
Not all problems are as simple as "throw money at it".

SE is allergic to multi paths for progression. And that's still the case here. The best you're going to get is them adding some "difficult" 4 man content but still making it share the raid lockout timers while simultaneously being as or more difficult than the raids.

WoW started doing it in MoP, before that you could raid day 1 if you wished. You know why they started delaying raiding? Because they realized everyone quit the game before the end of the month so they wouldn't get that extra sub fee

T7 is still one of the most unique fights they've ever designed and A3S was honestly really good, the playerbase just couldn't deal with something actually requiring near flawless execution ontop of pushing DPS for once.

The thing is there's more to the staggering in WoW than FFXIV. FFXIV is just 4 bosses while WoW also unlocks an entire new content system for dungeons for people who doesn't raid.
