On PS1 and PS2 they were respected but put out second tier but still very good games. Uncharted 1 was like that but Sony fans made it out to be the second coming because it was pretty much that, Warhawk, and Ricky Bobby (PS3 was BLEAK back then). Then UC2 came out and it was a big improvement over UC1 so Sony fans went nuts. It was also IIRC a down year for gaming and it won a lot of GOTYs.

I thought TLOU was really good for what it was but UC3 and UC4 were both disappointing. Sony has better studios in their portfolio.
