Timegating certainly wasnt new, Argent Tournament, Molten Front and Isle of Thunder were all timegated to hell with dailies.

I busted my ass trying to get to 340 ilvl before the raid opened for my guild, and the very day the raid opened so did Warfronts which handed out 340-370 gear like candy, making me feel like I completely wasted my time and effort since I could have done literally anything else for the past two weeks and accomplished the same ilvl in half a day. The zones are cool but the content is nothing but I haven't done the dungeon and raid.

Honestly the art and music are fine, it's the zone planning that's absolute trash.

BFA is actually probably hovering around 1.5-2.5 million based on the chart. The trends show drastic drop off around the start followed by stabilizing around a lesser number until the next expac.
There's no continuous drop off except when considering the long run. Unless WoW's next expac is a smash hit, it should be around 500k-1 mil subs after it has its initial drop off.

Yes, Nazjatar is probably the peak of their zone design. It's massive, has some nice verticality, and it's extremely dense. It's dynamic with shit like World PvP events. There are tons of new mechanics like the NPC companions you do social links with. It's visually fantastic too.

The problem with Nazjatar is that it's supposed to be the capital city of the Naga AND YET THERE IS NO CITY. Suramar showed us that Blizzard can do gigantic cities if they tried and Nazjatar barely has anything resembling a city in it.

There's nothing that proves that. Again, look at the google trends. You're the one who should be butt-hurt. WoW, at its universally agreed upon lowest point in history is stilling doing substantially better than XIV at the peak of its popularity.

BfA sold 3.4 million at launch. I guarantee Shadowbringers won't break that number, just like Heavensward and Stormblood didn't come anywhere close either. And that's with the inclusion of the PS4 version too.

BfA sold well at launch because they decided to let people play as the new Allied Races nine months before the launch of the expansion if they pre-ordered. It was a genius move by Blizzard for sure but in hindsight we should have smelled a rat.
