Etika died and you post about happy memories?
Fucking shameful, show some respect

playing Ratchet and clank: a crack in time when i was younger. Loved that game to death, same with the rest of the future trilogy, but for me a crack in time stands out as the best.

playing and beating OOT every christmas with my brother and cousin for like 6 straight years

Who?

Coming home from school and playing call of duty with my friends all day, making jokes, having fun and laughing all the time
Now one of them has depression and the other is a drug addict

Beating my first Souls boss

Childhood digimon world 1 to 3
During adolescence, MGS 1-3
Early adulthood (almost 18) I remember getting into persona 3 even though I had already played other JRPGs. It was something different and I really enjoyed it. Played everything else atlus related afterwards
I don't have any really happy vidya memories during adulthood (20-26) but probably because life pushed me to not be as attached to it as before. I'd define 'comfy' to my first skyrim playthrough on the 360 and some other titles (ezio trilogy, vesperia, lost odyssey) but never quite like before
Now I'm just playing by inertia, and even so I'm becoming even more detached because I just ended my relationship with my ex gamer gf so I don't even want to touch the games we played together or the ones I was playing while I was with her. Bad memories

I don't play games online anymore

the first time I stepped out of the train station in Half Life 2 and the scene and sound effects washed over me with that robot chirping up and snapping my picture. then the citadel moved and a bunch of birds took off. that experience set the bar for immersion in games for me for years after.
also staying up and playing FF9 with the volume off past my bed time and stopping every like 15 minutes to listen to if my dad was up and was gonna come tell me to shut it down. max comfy.

Probably playing Morrowind at christmas eve

My father and I used to play Cyberbots in the arcades. It was my first fighting game and he introduced it to me because he knew I liked giant robots.

I need to start MGS3. I bought the Legacy Collection.

probably getting ocarina of time for christmas

>downing ragnaros and onyxia for the first time
>beating SSI and Orphan of Kos
Recently, my brother got me a music box that plays the song of storms and his card said that he used to love watching me play OoT and MM when we were kids. Hit me right in the feels.

I look back fondly on stepping off the boat

Me and some kids from texas built a gigantic hunger games map in minecraft xbox 360
miss those guys

>summer 2003 or something
>no school
>me and lil bro play GTA 3 all morning
>every time I see a certain spot near the airport I will always remember the fun times

Beating 1080 Avalanche for the first time. I'll never forget how hard my heart was pounding as I outran an avalanche on a fucking snowboard

playing divinity ego draconis when it released the scenery with the music was another thing for me

When I was younger I was too bad at that game to beat it, well done user

What? Is he really dead?

playing melee with friends

His body was found this morning.
I had a feeling he'd turn up dead when they found his stuff on Manhattan Bridge
I hate that I was right

>playing co-op in Gunstar Heroes with my older brother
>playing co-op in Kirby Super Star with my younger brother
>playing "co-op" in Jet Force Gemini with my younger sister
>the entirety of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in its original Gamecube glory with my 3 siblings, complete with all the GBAs and cables and such
I do play single player and competitive games but nothing compares to how much these video games offset our sibling bickering, especially FFCC. Holy fuck that game was absolutely magical for us and those memories still burn bright.
I'm immensely grateful to the forces that be that none of us met with a bad end as we grew up.

used to be a gaming lounge in the small town i grew up
a collection of highschoolers and college kids would have big lan partys there and play wow and dawn of war all night

Melee is still the best

I don’t play games anymore.

>jet force gemini

good shit

You can come back, vidya never forgets

Playing gears of war 1 online with my high school friends every day and talking shit, playing dark souls 3, bloodborne, botw and splatoon 1 & 2. I've been very happy with those games

>stay up all night playing GTA Vice CIty

I played a lot of kirby air ride with my older brother as a kid and now I really want to play gunstar heroes with him but I rarely get to see him anymore
In fact I've only ever played the game co-op once, I don't really have any irl friends anymore, I don't think I've talked to anyone for over a minute other than my parents in months...

Pretty much any time my friends and I would sit down to show each other the final boss of a game that we're stuck on (just to show how hard it is), only to miraculously beat it on the first try.

I remember back in 2nd grade when I broke my leg and had to stay in during recess. I drew so many pictures of scenes from Super Mario RPG. I was in love with that game.

literally who?

Spending time with Fuuka!

Attached: Fuuka's Bright, Perfect smile in glorious HD.jpg (1920x1080, 430K)

>tfw had mario RPG back in the day
>dad ends up smashing it to shit
>finally just beat it this year
fuck me

I remember my grandma found it at a yard sale for 5 bucks and gave it to me. Over time she also got me the full DKC trilogy. Used to buy me obscure goosebumps books all the time too. Grandma is based.

Why’d your dad smash the game though?

I have never broken a bone because I was a very careful boy, but you sound like me. Which is endearing.

I remember tracing over pictures of Mario for weeks when I learned I would be getting a SNES, feeling so hyped up that I wouldn't have to go all the way to Toys R Us demo stations if I wanted to play video games anymore.

Attached: 1423533469808.png (620x500, 253K)

basically parents are savages, and I used to go home for lunch. One day i ate fast so i could play some mario RPG mom comes running the room user YOU ARE GOING TO BE FUCKING LATE FOR SCHOOL. dad jumps up out of his chair pulls game out of console and smashes it.

Just think how funny his bloated corpse looked. I'd like to see it. haha

>playing warlocked and dragon quest monsters on my gameboy in the closet when my parents would get into physical altercations
>playing WWF No Mercy when I had to live in a literal box apartment all alone with just a living room and bathroom and my mother would sleep at other mens houses
>playing breath of the wild when my mother finally took her own life
If it wasn't for coping with video games I don't think I would of been able to handle life. Thanks video games. Those games will always remain in my heart as my best friends.

Stop. Listen to me. This might be the most important post you ever read on this website. Copy this text and save it to your desktop for future reference. Do this now. You're unhappy. I know you are. You don't need to pretend with me. Do you want to be happy? Answer honestly. If you don't, stop reading now. Come back whenever you feel you can love yourself. Sometimes even that is too much to expect. If you do, you must do everything I say from now on, to the letter. First, stop watching anime. This is the most important thing. Don't ask why. Just stop watching it. Stop watching cartoons in general. Don't read comics. Never read manga, or light novels. Avoid genre fiction in general. Next, go to your doctor and ask him to test your testosterone levels. Your levels will come back low. Ask him to put you on supplements. Start working out. Stop eating junk food. Stop eating fast food. Next, stop playing video games. Throw out your consoles, and your TV. Stop looking at porn. Stop dressing to draw attention to yourself. You aren't as smart as you think you are. Buy a King James Bible and read the Gospels. Start going to church every Sunday. Repent and pray to God. Focus on eliminating sin from your actions and your heart. Volunteer and give to charity. Call your father and tell him you forgive him for not being there for you and not raising you right. Throw out your PC. Downgrade to a dumbphone. Read books. Seek out people. The final step is to stop coming to this website forever. Do all this, and you'll be able to begin your journey to becoming happy. I can't tell you the next step to take. That's yours to decide. The entire world is open to you now. You're free.

but that IS my happiest gaming moment. Don't you take that from me, you shitbag.

Playing fable 2 on my xbox360 and listening to my metallica albums.

coming home from school and playing halo reach wit my internet friends and school friends and not giving a fuck about anything else, man those were some good times

>Get into a full queue with friends and go to 2Fort
>Somehow convince the entire team to go Spy
>We all hide into the intel roam with the cloak and dagger and hide. We all go into the same corner
>Gibus Sniper walks in. We all uncloak and pop out of the corner
>12 spies are now stabbing a gibus sniper to death

locking my ultimate ironman in Mortyania

Damn user that sounds awful. You in good terms with your folks now?

For me it was hours of playing Gears of War and Black Ops against bots(we didn’t have internet), and listening to Alice Cooper

not any specific memory, but this is just a really happy vidya song

>leaving my NES on for several days to beat a tiny toons game
>renting Sonic 3 every weekend during the summer
>being 16 and playing hooky at school only to spend the day playing wow and tanking the dead mines for the first time
>taking a shit ton of Xanax and beating Mario RPG in one sitting on Wii virtual console
>binging MGSV when it was released

Kirby Air Ride was the shit man

>playing WoW: TBC with my internet gf
>grinding rep together to get purple Elekks, talking about life and what we'll do when we finally get to meet
>didn't get to meet until 12 years later when she became a coked up stripper

>being 5 and playing Super Mario 64 for the first time, my friends mom had to teach us how to wall jump
>at a friends house watching his big brother and friends play Super Smash Bros 64, finally getting to play and beating all of them as a tiny little kid and shocking everyone
>Timesplitters 2 with friends
>friends got me a SNES emulator for my 15th birthday, tried Chrono Trigger thinking it was some sort of shooter, fell in love
>first time playing Portal

I could go on.

Attached: 1559354761219.jpg (750x727, 24K)

I remember trying gears once but then i got stuck at the part with the bats and having to run to the fire barrels or something like that.

thats nothing compared to other shit they pulled

and no not really, they text me and I never reply

>Happiest vidya memories?
TF2 from 2010 to about 2013, hands down

Playing video games with my online friends was some of the greatest time I’ve shared with people. I doubt they even come on Yea Forums anymore.

I remember playing “sick” one day and beating all of Assassins Creed 2 in one sitting. I wish I could go back

I was a clueless kid playing jedi academy and some green twilek gave me an emote blowjob after a fight

My entrance into online gaming with stuff like quake1

leveling through vanilla WoW, back when the world was challenging and alive, and not everyone had hit the level cap. I was a rogue, and I had to journey to a new zone to level up, and it was an epic journey, making friends as I crossed through zones, hiding from enemies, doing quests along the way. I ended up in thousand needles, trolling horde by sapping them just as they were about to step off their elevator to their base and laughing at them as they had to ride it all the way back down and up, and then sapping them again. Eventually had an entire guild coming after me, searching for me, picking off their weaker members if they went too far away from the herd and running away before their friends came. It was fun as shit.

Later on, I rolled a priest, and got a reputation for being good at healing, so I'd log on and have people offering to teleport me to dungeons I had never even seen or heard of before to run it with them. And then the raids on MC, where entire horde and alliance guilds were running into the mountain, and it could be an hour-long ordeal just GETTING to the instance, fearing and mind-controlling people off the chains into the lava.

High point of the game, as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately will likely never be that fun again.

Dark Souls 3. It was the most fun I had with a Souls game before I started to realize the game itself isn't very good. I enjoyed it so much because I played it with my best friend who loved Dark Souls as much as I did.

He passed away two years ago. Cheers, Jacob.

playing Rayman with the guy that would later become my bf, when we were kids. He just got a PS and playing rayman together was how we became friends, and we probably wouldn't have started dating when we got older if it wasn't for that.

I was going to marry him but he died in a car accident. I've never been as happy again as I was just taking turns playing rayman with him

The most recent one is beating the Fool's Colosseum in Hollow Knight. Haven't finished all of the game yet but it's definitely the most exciting and enjoyable portion of the game yet (White palace being close second)

>staying up until 5 in the morning with your friend collecting the skulls

Attached: 1537638942444.gif (200x200, 948K)

nice. now that I think about it the most enjoyable moments in video games came from playing with my friends. Hyping each other up and making stupid but ballsy plays was some of my fondest memories of video games.

For me it was playing Mario Kart DS with my friends. Pretty much 4/5 friends never had the actual game so each race or balloon battles were filled with Shy Guy.

Saved up to buy an Xbox 360 and games on launch day. Came down with the flu the day before, still drug my ass to Best Buy in the morning and picked it up. Stayed up almost all night with a 102 degree fever playing Condemned. I felt like complete dogshit but I loved it. Delirium makes everything scarier.

Raiding Yea Forums's skyfort in 4craft was pretty neat, shame all my images died with my last hardrive.

Halo with my best friends. Double XP Weekends. GRIFFBALL. We never lost a game of Griffball.

I'm glad he's dead :)

Fucking ur mom

Christmas. I got one of those PSOnes with the battery pack and LCD screen. Playing Parasite Even in the car on the way home from Edaville railroad is a very nice memory, especially since PE takes place around Christmas.

when i first learned about emulators

Christmas morning of 2001, my brother and I opened up our new Gamecube with SSBM.

We were blown away by how much graphics had improved going from the N64 to the Gamecube. My favorite Christmas ever.

When I was 6 years old, my mom had gotten a really bad case of pneumonia because of her Asthma. It was bad enough my dad had to consider end of life stuff for her. All while taking care of me and my 3 year old sister.

At night he would play Super Mario RPG with me, helping me beat the bosses and finding some of the secret stuff. Some of the happiest memories of my life when things could have gone so bad with my mom.

We actually beat the game and it felt like a big thing to 6 year old me. I actually still have the cartridge buried some place in tote somewhere.

One time while playing crash bandicoot I farted and thought I pooped my pants but I only pooped a little

Playing Pokémon Blue right after it came out, when literally everyone I knew had it and was playing it. My younger brother, my older brother, and I didn’t have many games we all got into, but that was one of them. It was also back when I didn’t know every Pokémon, so most new things I encountered were a surprise.
Having sleepovers with my friends in high school and playing Melee and Halo until our thumbs swelled up was also good.

Playing Pokemon Yellow and seeing Pikachu follow me around.
