Lightning is the only good thing to ever come out of Final Fantasy.

>XIII was the last FF to truely capture the magic and wonder of Final Fantasy
I don't even hate 13 or anything, but Final Fantasy hasn't been Final Fantasy to me since FF10. 12's release was where it officially died/stopped being the same series to me.

i want to cum on lightning's cheeks and armpits

Disagree.
I feel like last one is definitely X, but showing signs of nu-Squeenix.

Same.
I actually liked 12 as far as the principles of 11 were concerned, but neither was quite a Final Fantasy.

She's cute at the right times I guess.

Here guys porn is the best.
Besides that xiii was actually pretty good

post her "butt" and "thighs". looks like east asian ladyboy, but each his own. maybe the character is better than the looks?

Not everyone is a fat loving negro.

>Not everyone is a fat loving negro.
Lightning could do with thicker thighs

She is fine the way she is.

>She is fine the way she is.
Nope. Giving her a dick is a vast improvement.

I was gonna agree with you, until you said futa. And now I 10000% agree with you.

I'm playing World of Final Fantasy. Am not too far but it feels like it has some old school charm in it.

You never played any FF games before 13, you stupid cunt.

>XIII was the last FF to truely capture the magic and wonder of Final Fantasy.

>Lightning is the only good thing to ever come out of Final Fantasy.

No fucking way Fags, not with Final Fantasy IX existing.

got more?

Game looks fun but I can't get past the chibi aesthetic

what is Final Fantasy to you?

Based and ESKpilled

Yeah I'm not a fan of the chibi art style for some characters (I don't mind the human forms though).

But the gameplay itself is solid ATB with some pokemon type monster catching system and a decent amount of team building when it comes to figuring out which monsters to match with others. Its not a flashy battle system but it certainly feels like classic FF battle.

A Squaresoft series. Final Fantasy died when Square became Square Enix.

IX was the last totally pure one for sure, but I think X is still reasonably in the realm. The combat is strategic enough and it does a pseudo-job system pretty well, your party is still limited in what they can do through the main portion of the game and all-rounders isn't an option, though there's still a lot of room for flexibility and crazy builds. Some of the stuff I like most about FF games.

I know that transition period well.
>was already keen on emulation when Final Fantasy Tactics Advance came out in Japan, played that shit
>Squaresoft logo
>some months later, buy the English game for my GBA and put it in
>Square-Enix logo
Oddest feels.

A once well respected series of JRPGs.
The fourth to ninth titles in the series are considered to be the best in the genre. With the Seventh one in particular known for introducing a whole generation to JRPGS.

X is alright but honestly there's a reason why I still haven't beaten it despite having it for 3 years.
IX on the other hand is surprisingly easy to pick up and play

How the fuck was 11 not a Final Fantasy? Because you move while fighting ? It was way more FF than 6,7, 8, or 10. You guys don’t know FF.

XI was a MMORPG

Attached: 1544662678554.png (299x310, 151K)

You guys are fucking dumb.

That's true, X does tend to slog at points, it definitely has some flaws.

As for VII, I still have memories of me and my brothers hiding behind couches while my mom was out buying it. Just to be safe, just in case someone shot at us or something, our neighborhood doesn't even have crime, we were that hyped.

INFINITE HYPE

FF is about small secluded group battles you encounter randomly, not mobs on a field you run to. Even then ATB was just thrown out the window and they just sorta dragged in auto-attacks because it was vogue. That's not FF. I sooner went for projects like Wonderland Online, they were foreign sprite-based jank that cost pennies to develop and even they managed to get closer to FF.

huh I didn't know Playstation had that "chon" sound and "praystation" soundbite all the way back, I thought that was a PS4 thing

Has there ever been a series that encapsulates the whole, ''old games good, new games bad'' meme better than Final Fantasy does?

Attached: 1557687236973.jpg (779x720, 151K)

Indeed. When I first heard it for PS4 I just assumed it was done as a part of the whole 'revival of old-school 90s stuff' trend lately.

We didn't want it to become a meme

But scrolling through menus is hardly what made FF a game to me. The feeling of having control over how you grow and develop, the feeling of adventure, and the feeling of fighting the impossible over time is what makes FF, and XI had that in spades. It was like playing an early FF in HD. Maybe I just see the series differently, but the only FF game that I put less than 60 hours in was XV.

Off the top of my head, Halo did a decent job at it, though it's got less total iterations behind it.
Series like this are actually kinda a gaming pet peeve of mine. Part of my exploration into the principle of the 'meta' of a series and how the size of that can severely influence later entries, especially if that size increase is not expected.

>feeling of fighting the impossible over time
Nah I'm pretty sure that's an MMO thing.

Marvel vs Capcom
Street Fighter

>FFI: You beat something immortal and manifestations of nature along the way
>FFII: You overcome hell itself
>FFIII: You beat the collective power of an entire fucking planet
>FFIV: You go to the moon and beat borderline gods
>FFV: You fight the power of an entire dimension

It’s definitely not just an “MMO thing.”

Sonic

The time difference is pretty huge though.

>FFVI: You defeat the God of Magic who managed to destroy the world
>FFVII: You fight past psychological issues and stop a meteor from hitting the planet
>FFVIII I never played this game lol
>FFIX: You're a skirt chasing thief who manages to tell Death himself to fuck off and beat up a Round guy and scare the hell out of Hades. But you still couldn't beat a nice sheep

Telling you guys right now..if FFXIII had FF7R's battle system it would have been received way better.

btw the story made no sense unless you spend like an hr flipping through wiki pages.

Yuck

The Bravely series were the last games to truly capture the magic and wonder of Final Fantasy without even having the FF name on them.

Attached: 1408920908779.png (420x426, 205K)

FF7R hasn't even come out yet, how the fuck are we supposed to know?

Octopath's alright too.

There’s only been one main FF game since XIII lol

>FFVIII: Fucking time travel

last good FF was actually pic related

FFXV can suck my nuts

From playing the demo at e3 retard

>XIII-2
>Lightning returns
>Type 0
>World of Final Fantasy
>FFXIV (and its several expansions)
>FFXIV
>FFXIV anime series
>FFXIV the film

>FFXIV
>FFXIV anime series
>FFXIV the film
meant FFXV

>getting the plat FOR THE WHOLE XIII trilogy

Why would you do that to yourself?

"Lighting's armpits" is not an answer.

Attached: 1463744569611.jpg (720x720, 40K)

Halo is turning 20 in two years cunt. And the original trilogy is still pretty good.

Yeah, because an MMORPG anime and movie counts as a MAIN Final Fantasy game. Kys

Hiding the game behind tutorial was a fucking mistake. Shame it'll never get a Remaster that fixes this.

Following in X's footsteps and putting it on 'cinematic' rails even more was a mistake as well.

Great music, art and locales couldn't save it.

Attached: 1560721486575.jpg (1471x1024, 93K)

FFXIV is a main FF game retard, it has the number and everything. Also FFXV and all the bullshit content surrounding it was all soulless (at least in comparison to 13)

Just end me, bros... I wanted this.

I want to lick her armpits

I remember this, probably one of the last times I was truely excited about Final Fantasy

you got that didn't you?

13 sucked but at least it felt final fantasy. What the fuck went wrong with 15

I love the universe

10 years
2 console generations
1 man's insane ambition

FFXIV and its job system is unironically the most recent authentic final fantasy game to its roots

Imagine being the model who worked to have the perfect build and skin tone so she could later be forced under contract to put on a green screen mask and cgi her ugly nip nong mug out of the shot.

Her hair annoys me.

Exactly. Anyone who says XIV isn't a true FF game is full of shit. youtube.com/watch?v=39j5v8jlndM
