Rex is fantastic single player.
He's also great at getting those stupid crabs off the cliff side. I finally got that achievement with him. On top of the fact that his shift click is great for bopping enemies over the edge, it's also great for initiating combat with them, since it does 0 damage, but still gets them to panic.
He had the fuel cell equipped, and hit a blood shrine. The cell explodes if you do that.

There is no way to make Transcendence work with Rex, due to the fact a lot of your damage comes from spamming right click while you heal up with your R.

Maybe in a late-game Rex build where you already had a bunch of on-hit items or an Equipment build, but never while you're still using your HP for a lot of your damage.

I would be annoyed, but it's not like I couldn't just unlock all the characters again in just a few runs. Some of the challenges would be annoying to do again, but for the most part they are all things that happen naturally as you play.
I STILL haven't gotten the one for hitting multiple mountain shrines, or the one for killing the two dudes below the sand level. I don't expect to ever get the one for killing goldie without the shrines recharging.

With gestures getting a hard nerf capacitor is no longer an instant electrical storm. You only need 2 gestures and a fuel cell for the tonic to be on indefinitely, but it takes a fuckton more investment for the capacitor to actually get going now.

The game will use the player with most items unlocks so you can use them even trought you don't have them unlocked yourself. They still wont appear if you go solo, obviously.

her AOE is so insane and that semi-nerf to backup mags really worked to her favor

You need to keep his R up at all times during any real fights. It has a really low cd so you need to get the hang of maximizing the uptime to get him to work since he has the fat hitbox but not the constant mobility of Mul-T.

Hitting critical mass with Huntress is way too easy with the Topaz item. Stack crit and backup mags, get the crit heal scythe, nothing can touch me. With the new categorized chests it's much easier to pad the weaknesses of a build.

Higher health, being damaged by it prevents you from healing from any source (shields and barriers still work), passively shoots out spikes similar to Overlord Imp, when it dies it leaves behind a low health spiked corpse that shoots out those spike AOEs until it gets killed again.

honestly, Hopoo is in a great position to create a Risk of Rain MMO in the same vein as RoR2. The reason why WoW gained traction as well as it did was because it had pre-existing lore from Warcraft 1-3. New MMO's fail because they're usually the first (and last) of a franchise with lore that nobody is familiar with. It would be tricky to transition from rogue-lite to a mmo environment, but Hopoo handled the 2d to 3d transition splendidly, so I have confidence that they could make it work.

I guarantee this will happen. It'll be similar to Destiny where you have hubs, you'll embark on quests (either solo or in a group), pvp zones, arena modes, a battle royale mode, etc. It'll be closer to Destiny than World of Warcraft. You'll get loot that will persist after a quest or whatever, then you'll get temporary loot for each run similar to the current state of the game.

Use only R and Shift. MOVING enemies is REX's ability, anyone can heal, not everyone can fart a stone golem into the shadow realm every 5 seconds.

I was able to clutch from deaths thanks to it though.
His mobility reminds me of Acrid, haven't been lucky with my items drops for mobility other than damage and healing.
Also if he goes underground, why doesn't he scale walls, it seems the model tries to and can do it, but can't?

>New wisp (called ArchWisp). Spookier looking Greater Wisp. Shot takes longer to charge up, but travels along the ground, leaving a trail of fire before exploding.
>Ancient Wisp is coming back. Has a standard fireball, a meteor shower style attack, and some AoE burst. From what I've tested, only the meteor shower does damage, but it does a lot. He flies like the other wisps. Model is present, but unfinished.
>Out of all the previous unfinished survivors I've tested, the only one who got any changes was HAN-D__. His formerly useless hook got some updated graphics and now works like a homing ranged attack.

To be frank, he seems kind of trash out of the box. His left click is mediocre (the healing on it's non existent), his M2 costs WAY too much HP for how little damage it does, and his R, while good, doesn't provide enough to make up for the rest of his kit. Thankfully his R scales well into late game and he synergizes with damn near every item, but he is easily the worst character to play when you have shit items. Shift click rocket jumping is fun tho.

He's slow and need some time to get used to.
However, his M1 and M2 might need some changes. M2 takes too much health for its damage, M1 is a tad too weak when it comes to the enemies in this game.
He's also a bit too item reliant to get anywhere, since most of the important healing is his 3rd and 4th ability (I think they are both fine imo)
I can't say much set in stone since I haven't ever gotten to late game with him yet, I'm still taking a bit especially my item luck kinda shit.
