Rival-type character boss fight

>Rival-type character boss fight
>It's pure kino
Why don't more games do this?

After years and years of training with swords, he uses based oar as an ultimate weapon against you. Love this game.

Favorite song. Go.

I think I like "make this right" the best but damn theyre all so good.

You're mine is still the king

both of the 16:xx songs

Something Memorable > Wisdom of Rage > My Only Chance > Make This Right > Danger 6:24 > You're Mine > Danger 8:02 > What We Fight For > Enraged > You Are The End > Set Me Free

>rival fight
>tell your gf to step off, you'll fuck him up yourself

What a wonderful sense of discovery.

Perfectly symmetrical competitions are the bedrock of basic game design, and most attempt to go beyond that into the wilds of asymmetrical conflicts. And they fail dramatically - most of them lack even the basics and this is why the mirror match-style fight is often so great. More games would stand well from balancing an identical vs identical match-off and then start diversifying the roster. You can try this yourself by picking a game with various boss fights and PVP challenges and comparing identical and non-identical matchups.

Better question why are rivalries always the most kino thing in storytelling?

Furi is GOAT material. And that OST oh lord...

>Not one
>Not two
>Not three
>FOUR rival matches
Getting my shit pushed in by the very same combat arts I've been using the whole game was fucking great. The final PvP showdown had my blood pumping.

Transistor did it really well, too
>So...who's gonna go first?
>How about...
>Me.

It's so weird they withheld the best character until the very end of the game.

Chester II is probably my favorite boss fight just because its so memorable since I had to get good and literally improve my reflexes all I was doing was practicing a specific cognitive task but still it was FUN

Yeah, but both him & Sybil are great villains. The game becomes tedious after Sybil though

this game looks like ass

SSS tier: Wisdom of Rage, Make This Right, 7:53

SS tier: 6:24, A Monster, My Only Chance

S tier: Enraged, Something Memorable, 8:02

A tier: What We Fight For, You're Mine, Shambles

B tier: You Are The End, Love and Madness, Time To Wake Up, A Picture In Motion

C tier: 19:06, 19:07, Make This Right Remix, A Big Day

D tier: Unraveled, Set Me Free

Is there any other game that had such an amazing reveal. Then immediately followed it up with an even bigger twist?

It's a top-down bullet-hell boss rush, it's genuinely good.

mate the game looks like ass

Too much of a good thing can be bad.

The vergil fight in 5 sucks compared to 3

it's obviously very cheaply made, but the environment design is 10/10, and the fights themselves look gorgeous as well

Well of course it fucking can. That's what "too much" means, you imbecile.

I'm sorry you lack the capabilities too judge things beyond surface level shit like graphics.

8:02, Make This Right, and A Monster, but the majority of the soundtrack in general is great.

And that's why you can't have too many rival fights. They wouldn't feel as kino if every game was doing them.

Sorry that you have no appreciation of art.

Whoever designed this and chose the colors has no idea what they were doing, I saw a couple videos and the gameplay looks extremely fun, but god that palette man.

>judge surface of THING
>"hurr durr why you don't look at the other aspects of THING"

>he thinks good graphics are more important than good gameplay
Gotta be 18 or older to post here, kiddo.

Tru, see also - rival fights serve as an acid test for whether the basics of the system work or not, and once workable serve as a platform for venturing into more exciting territory.

Is this the only game you know?

There's much more to a video game than graphics though.

you dense motherfucker
