All four party members' (and Avalanche's) redesigns are worse than before, but Tifa's is in another stratosphere of awful. I may like some of them, but all of them are nerfed (all girls in particular), except Heidegger unless you find his beard and medals absolutely essential part of his design.

I like new Barret. I guess I would have liked it if they kept the mohawk but i like how new outfit has a lot of Blade vibes to it and the new gun takes up more of his arm and has a lot of heft to it. One thing i never liked about his original design is that his gun was pretty small in comparison to how gigantic the rest of him was.

Nothing like the fanart,which is clearly in the domain of old Tifa (sometimes even above hers and in Lenna's.). I've studied all information about VII and its progeny. My view of it is that the measurements in the "concept" (this is important) art don't correlate with any of the six models (seven, if you count promotional material on the PC installation disc of her sitting on the well) in the game, making them outdated information, that was refined in the development process. Then after Ehrgeiz confirmed that as Squaresoft's intention the Non-Chibi FMVs were the most correct version, which the other designs were abstractions of, since they had less detail. The later designs much later are of course retcons. As trivia Tifa is only her fourth largest in the Crater FMV among the VII FMVs.
