>arena fighter
it's shit

>3v3 arena fighter
Eh.

As much as I love OPM, I'll pass. I'd rather have an action game where you create your own hero, go on missions with heroes from the manga and climb the ranks of the Hero Organization

>its another generic arena fighter
They're not even trying are they? Not that i blame them, when jump force didnt fail, why would this either, weebs slurp up this shit like crazy

Why is it always fucking arena fighters with 3v3? Are they that creatively bankrupt?

What the fuck did you want, an actual competitive fighting game in the already saturated market?

CASH GRAB MAN
A GAME NOBODY WANTS
COMING WHO CARES

>bamco anime game
>it's an arena fighter
Do they have 1 game template that they can just can swap assets depending on which anime license they have

If it were an action adventure style rpg like the Xenoverse games where I can just build a hero and try to climb through the ranks I'd be more interested. Saitama is a terrible choice for a fighting game since his character is built entirely around defeating all his enemies in a single punch. What a blatant cash grab.

Yes, but that's not new
Look at pretty much any AAA dev and you'll see about 20 years of reused ideas.

its a start
if this game is popular we might get more OPM games
shame its a arena fighter

>Arena Fighter
>Probably by CyberConnect2
>Seems like it only covers what the first season of the anime did
The only interesting thing about this is wondering how Saitama is supposed to have a Lose condition. It'll probably something lame, like he has infinite super armor but if you hit him his "motivation" goes down and you win by depleting it like a health bar.

Attached: 1468723682070.png (254x287, 122K)

As opposed to a generic anime fighter? How is that even a question, there are already 7 or 8 of the same game, just with a different brand of anime characters out there, from the same publisher too

It's probably just dirt cheap to shit out, just create a few new assets and call it a day.

Yes

If it's popular they make a sequel with characters deeper into the manga than the first game will cover. That's it.

Kill La Kill IF is the only Arena Fighter that looks even halfway decent from a gameplay perspective and it's still pretty middling, being carried by that ArcSys 3D style.

No garou No buy

How would you a One punch man game?

To me it would be an RPG about him training to become One Punch Man, or an RTS where you send heroes to defeat monsters plaguing sections of the city.

>Not a musou or action game where Saitama is the easy mode and the lower ranked heros is the hard mode

Heres how to make an OPM game:

Attached: Screenshot_20190625-142938~2.png (1712x706, 344K)

I wonder how they will handle to big naked dude.

>Probably by CyberConnect2
Unlikey since theyre on that DBZ rpg now

ARPG/actionm game where you make your own hero and gotta climb up the ranks defeating monsters (many from the show/webcomic) while other heroes are companions.

Bonus points if it also has a monster mode with the MA.

Attached: giphy.gif (280x235, 946K)

It's the one license that would fit a Musou well. The catch is that there's no difficulty setting; your character determines how difficult it is because they're completely unbalanced. Saitama is Easy Mode, Mumen Rider is Dante Must Die. Genos is in the middle but all of his boss fights are unwinnable; Saitama beats the boss in a cutscene once he's out of life.

CaC a hero where you climb the ranks of the hero association by beating up criminals and monsters
would play like the yakuza games where you encounter known characters as you proceed into the story
saitama would be a hidden boss that can only be accessed by doing the most boring escort missions and mundane bullshit
you can only beat him if the timer runs out and he gets bored of you

Forget about Saitama and make the game about Mumen Rider.

>arena fighter
garbage
it'll probably be better than Season 2 at least

>Scamco
Oh don't tell it's just another fucking shitty- WELP

am i blind or does the trailer not list a developer

Or maybe its just an original story where the villain has the power or ability to 'Normalize' Saitama's godmode, so he can be beaten/takes him more than 1 punch to beat people.

i dunno why people think its not possible or stupid to do that. the fact that Saitama is invincible is just that, that he is invincible, but no one has said someone cant make him normal for X or Y reason.

why an arena fighter? it's OPM, what's the point if saitama has to punch you like 50 times?

>Only First season
>Showed Fubuki

Theres so much that could be done with this and other IPs, why are they so creatively poor, weve had "what would be a good OPM game be like" threads before and there were tons of good ideas, its not that hard.
>>Seems like it only covers what the first season of the anime did
>Has Fubuki

Is there any way to save the Arena Fighter genre? What would you do to make it better, more competitive, how would you tighten the controls?

Power Stone 3

better combat
unfortunately the genre suffers from having extremely shallow combat

Do isometric fighters count? When I think arena fighters, I think over-the-shoulder combat.

Don't have every character play exactly the same.

>Its OPM, whats the point if Saitama has to punch you once to lose?

same thing... yeah, its weird that the 'invincible guy' is playable in a fighting game with a watered down moveset/powerlevel. but if the reason is backed with a nice story reason, it might work.

I guess

Hmm... what if arena fighters had a combat system like Devil May Cry or Kingdom Hearts, but with PvP.

WHO FUCKING CARES
ETIKA IS DEAD

oh no some mediocre eceleb died
who gives a shit

The way I wanted a one punch man game was an open city/multiple cities where you play as a monster/villain
And you have to make yourself stronger by taking down heroes, bosses will consist of known heroes from the show who wander the city randomly
You'll have to avoid higher tier heroes who will become more aggressive in chasing you down the stronger you get

The end goal being the impossible task of taking down Saitama or managing to avoid him and destroying everything.

his clothes rip

obviously

nobody knows

that would seriously go against the basic narrative of the manga, if anyone besides a cat or something gag-ish actually gives saitama a challenge it'll be in the last arc of the manga

>Fubuki model for sfm
Nice

Shit would be like a survival horror, but full retard. I need it.

>Game is about him
>If you game over there's a chance that saitama appears and saves you

That's not authentic to the source material at all.
Best case scenario if you want to make Saitama "normal", would be to have him dreaming that he is fighting against an opponent that can match up to him

YES.

>another shitty button mashing arena fighter
Oh fuck off

What's your favorite arena fighters? I got a soft spot for DIssidia 012 and Heroes VS on the PSP.

Attached: Heroes VS.jpg (1280x720, 263K)

Life Sim with de-emphasized combat.

I don't think Budokai Tenkaichi 3 will be topped, but KLK IF looks pretty good. Most of the genre is trash.

You already know he answer, this game is a copy paste of MHA which is also an asset flip from that one piece game which is also an asset flip from the naruto storm games

The source material is supposed to deconstruct and satirize the superhero trope, there would've been so much potential to try and bring the same concepts to videogames. But no, of course it's just yet another license cashgrab.

I think a clever developer could have made something really original out of this. Think about it: you have a game where the protagonist is invincible and can destroy literally any threat with a single hit. How do you make an interesting game out of this? It's tricky obviously but I think it's an interesting challenge.

I would have preferred a brawler that emphasized dodging to build up the ONE PUNCH meter against bosses.

Easy, have a game with fully destructible environments, where the goal is to save day WITHOUT causing too much destruction.

>The source material is supposed to deconstruct and satirize the superhero trope
>Americans

>interesting challenge
Exactly. No major company will even try.
The worst part? There must be people out there that could pull it, but they won't be able to get the license, unless they straight up say it's "inspired by" OPM or something.
Oh so you want that one Superman game. Nope, no thanks.

OPM pokes fun at muh shonen hero more than muh caped crusader

This. Make a game like Otogi where you can hit characters so hard they fly through the environment, but then try to discourage that. Allow a villain mode, sandbox mode and/or versus mode for people that just want to break shit.

Attached: 1532313965093.png (359x383, 295K)

The final mission is some Ocean's 13 shit sort of like Splinter Cell where you have make a plan to distract Saitama in order to cause chaos. Like planting discount announcements, in specific places, shutting down the electricity at his apartment, giving him good videogames, etcl.

>PC Digital
OH NONONONOO AHAHAHAA
EPIC STORE EXCLUSIVE

>Shenmue-style One Punch Man game
Here's your GOTY bro

No more than literally any other Shonen.

Braindead yanks can only think in terms of deconstruction/satire or played straight. Those are the two stories you can tell in a genre. Either he heard someone say that and is just mindlessly repeating it or else he actually formed that opinion himself, can't figure out which one is stupider.
He literally refined the exact same themes with MP100 so there's really no excuse for being that stupid.

I'm not American and I stand by what I said, I'm sorry that you feel that I disrespected your chinese cartoon because I dared to like it in a different way that you did.

Otogi still not backwards compat.

Xbox no longer making anything else back compat.

Fuckin why

2ND SEASON IS SO SHIT THAT BANDAI HAD TO SCRAP TOGETHER SOMETHING TO SALVAGE THAT MESS MADE BY J.C.STAFF

No tatsumaki
No buy

Attached: tatsumaki.webm (608x1080, 988K)

You never actually see saitama hit somebody you just see his flurry attack and when somebody touches him he barely flinches

Just post Tatsumaki/Fubuki porn, that's why you're all here.

you do know that's a dude right?

I don't give much of a fuck about OPM but you are just plain double digit IQ stupid is all.

it's not

it is mate.

I thought the japanese industry was good?

>3v3 fighter of any kind
I SLEEP
why do japs hate having to get good at 1 character rather than being mediocre at 3?

Attached: sleep cat.jpg (1200x1200, 117K)

nah but keep seeing dicks where there aren't any homo

A low effort cash grab brawler was inevitable.

>not maining mumen

>you do know that's a dude right?
thats even hotter
nothing better than w woman with a sexy feminine dick

Naruto Storm will always hold a place in my heart. Shit was absolutely gorgeous at the time. It also had me far more interested in the story of Naruto than the anime ever did.

Im actually hoping for a Boruto Storm so I dont have to read or watch the manga/anime

I was on the fence of getting this game, but then I saw Mumen was playable and now im all for it.

No they arent all those games are worse than the Nurutu games

>A video game based on a series where the protag is so OP in his abilities that he can't enjoy fighting bad guys

Attached: 1378081320398.jpg (308x291, 14K)

>saitama vs king
>switches characters to Baldogre vs Lovit Rabbit

I will now buy your game.

>Kill la Kill
>now OPM
So which irrelevant anime is next on the list to get a shitty arena fighter?

Attached: 1540323757705.png (500x500, 178K)

should I watch this show dubbed on my 2nd monitor while playing video games? I know enough about capeshit, shonen anime and I once read maybe 14 issues of Invincible.

I only watched one episode dubbed but I thought it sucked, completely changed the tone.

No. The dub sucks, the animation of the first season is gorgeous and the reason you should watch it. Not paying attention is just stupid.

>pick saitama
>instakill everyone
ez

Don't forget that shitty MY Hero game.

Jump Forces too
