I feel like most people who didn't read the books will go with Triss. Mainly because you are likely to resolve Triss's storyline before you even spend any proper time with Yen, and since Triss is the one you've spent the games with, you are very likely to pick her before even meeting Yen on the islands.

I kinda wish they had pushed the romantic resolutions til later in the story so both characters had their moment in the spotlight. That said, I was perfectly happy to go with Triss. Only hard part was breaking it off with Yen later.
