It is absolutely fine to hate on Soulborne gameplay. It's very clearly made to be a trial and error system with little deviation, to the point that once you've played the game, the second time through is an absolute breeze.

DS1 was casual trash who hyped up "OH WE'RE SO HARD IF YOU PLAY THIS GAME YOU'RE AUTOMATICALLY A HARDCORE GAMER AND CERTAINLY NOT A CASUAL LIKE THOSE MEANIES HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU" then filled the game with garbage assets and a trash story that was probably scrapped shit from Demon's Souls. I had replayed Demon's Souls for a week straight before its release and I sped through the entire game to the end before the wikidot had even started getting boss names.
