Is Oxide boss easy or is it just that your skills have improved so much till you get to him?

little bit of both, mainly because you just beat the hellscape that in pinstripe

He's harder on the rematch, at least on Hard mode.

I don't get everyone saying he's easy. Is he really slow on Normal difficulty or something?
I played on Hard and he was much, much harder than Pinstripe. Literally impossible unless you get good items, I'd say, since you can't even use the USF with red potions strewn all over the fucking track. You either need to overtake him before then (which REQUIRES missiles or a mask), or get a mask and use that to safely USF past him.
Like every other boss, even on the rematch it was GG once I got past him because the retard drives straight into items, but I don't understand why people call him easy unless he's slow as fuck on Normal.

Definitely skill once you face him for round two, the red vial spam is brutal so you want to stay ahead of him 90% of the time.

So is this the new CTR thread now that the old one got deleted because of the NSFW picture?

ONE DAY CLOSER TO TROPHY GIRLS

I guess

Took me 2 tries on normal when Pinstripe took me an hour. Its just easier to dodge vials than bombs that you cant always see coming

push him off the track and you beat him easily.

Leave stuff on the ramps

He isn't hard but probably you won't beat him without having any experience with the game, which is good for kart game final boss overall.

>finally face my first Tropy online
>beat him by a huge margin
The fuck. I expected more. I'm not even good enough for gold relics.

At least I just lucked out. I happened to hit him with a rocket in a jump, his AI sperged out and he fell half a lap behind. Then it was just cruising. medium difficulty though

>Playing Hyper Spaceway online
>This one dude is in the lead for the entire race
>During the last lap he gets hit by two warp orbs (neither of which were launched by me)
>The latter hits him in the final tunnel
>I avoid both of them
>I'm able to super turbo past him at the very end because of this
I'd be fucking salty if I lost because of something like that.
Now I'm just really happy and smug.

Nah, that's literally the strategy. You can beat him ez on any difficulty by leaving a nitro or potion on the final megajump, he falls down to a lower part of the track pretty consistently and will never catch up even if you were way behind due to hitting items before.

After having done both, yes he's easier on difficulties lower than hard.
Hardmode is bullshit I don't want to do crystal challenges with only 60 seconds to work with aaaa

i fucking suck so much at the relics

who did you guys use?

I found the crystal challenges easy
Only desert one took few tries, castle took on retry

My boy Pinstripe

speed, turn or acceleration character?

Hyper Garrrbage

>Finally hit the super turbo on Polar Pass
It shouldn't be this hard to overshoot fuck

Why are the mods deleting the threads?
Too much video game discussion?

If I recall, someone posted porn as the OP image of a prievous thread

The OP image of the last thread was the trophy girls eating out and molesting Coco. Yea Forums is a blue board. You can do the maths.

>Nefarious Tropy
>Neo Cortex
>N(?).Trance

I played classic mode for Adventure, what difficulty is that akin to?

Ned

It's somewhere between Medium and Hard with the added difficulty that comes from locking in your character pick at the start

Nelson

Cortex, my man
I went on classic. You just gotta balance with mini-turbos and just driving around.

Notorious

Tropy ghosts aren't that hard. You don't need to worry about Tropy players unless they have the skin for beating the Oxide ghosts.

Don't worry user, the first crystal challenge is probably actually the hardest because you get so little fucking time.
Meanwhile the last one, Nitro Court, is a fucking joke that I got first time with no route plan because you have so much motherfucking time even on Hard mode.

This, did Nitro Court first try, even after making a ton of route mistakes. I found the second one the hardest, probably failed it about 5 times.

Eventually I'll come back to it but I'm mad that it and Crash Cove were somehow the hardest things in the entirety of hard mode adventure.

>could beat everything as a kid rather easily without drifting once
>couldn't beat anything now on medium without going full autism speedrunner mode and learning speed tech
did they make the game harder or am I getting worse

Is there a Yea Forums community for this? I want to see how good you fuckers actually are.

Why does Coco get all the cute and silly stuff?

Does /vg/ counts?

This game has dogshit private match functionality and the only way to set up a lobby is for someone to post their username and accept a bunch of friend invites, so it hasn't happened much.
I've got all plat relics, and I went into a Yea Forums lobby for about 6-7 races and won none of them, so Yea Forums is pretty good at this game I'd say.

Sauce?

Can I get some general tips for the game, I'm trying to beat the Mario Kart out of me and having trouble even getting sapphire relics. It's my first time playing this game.

I really love it but when I watch videos I feel overwhelmed seeing people maintain fire through the entire race. Whenever I try to start a drift it usually results in me bumping into the wall like a utter moron so it's just not clicking with me.

Just learn the drift physics, once you've got the hand of basic drifting even gold relics are no problem. This will take maybe one full day of playing, but of course you could split that over several days if you want to.
Use the new boost bar, the one that tells you when you're in the "perfect" zone, and just keep doing laps of Coco Park on Time Trials until you find it easy to do the whole track boosting. Eventually you will be able to move onto looking at the wheels to see when to boost, and then just doing it on pure timing. That's about the sort of time you'll beat N. Tropy's time, too. After that, the game gets a hell of a lot easier.

What about N. Gin

Saphire is pretty easy just drive competently and get at least 75% of the crates. If you get all of them you get 10 seconds off the final time, and I've been able to completely turn around for missed crates on some tracks and still make saphire time.

I try to do it systematically to remember where I've been: left side crates, right side crates, then centre crates - but it's not always the best driving line to do it that way.

>I've been able to completely turn around for missed crates on some tracks and still make sapphire time
I did this on a couple of tracks for PLAT and still made it. It's really worth slowing down to make sure you hit every crate you can.
