Who actually uses this character? I've seen zero (and I really mean zero) people online using N. Trance. Then again, it's not really surprising considering acceleration has the best roster by far (Coco, Nash, Oxide, Pinstripe, N. Gin) so naturally no-one is going to play as the egg.

Why is the switch version so godawful? Everything looks so jagged and lowres in docked and undocked mode. How does MarioKart manage to not look this terrible? And the loading times are unbearable. Is there a patch coming out to kinda smooth things over that anyone knows about? I would've gotten the ps4 version but I don't have PS+ and I wanna race online so I opted for the switch version and it was quite obviously a mistake.

Easy mode makes relic races easier, for comparison on hard mode crash cove's par time is 52 seconds and on easy it's 56 seconds.

So what are the worst tracks in this version?
My vote would be Dingo Canyon, Sewer Speedway, Hyper Spaceway, Deep Sea Driving (because of that pipe section when you have blue boost) and Dragon Mines.
I think I've worked out a way to not lose too much speed on Dingo Canyon in that river section but fuck me that section is fucked now.
most of the Nitro Kart tracks are very good though.
Also what is with the way the blue boost mechanics work? Sometimes I lose it just as I land other times I can make it last as long as I don't fuck up. I've tried drifting into blue boost jumps and shit but nothing works consistently.

I know your pain, that is the only reason why some relic races are so hard. If it's of any help, you can check out my platinum relic run in Papu's Pyramid and maybe get some ideas:

My general tip for Papu is that you should absolutely focus on getting all the annoying / difficult boxes on your first lap (those being every box in front of a plant, the three boxes on the stairs as well as the four 3-boxes that you need to drop down for). If you miss any of those on your first lap, hit reset right away. If you get all of them immediately then you've done more than half the required work as the rest of the crates are a lot easier. Also, clear all the crates towards the end during your first two laps so that you can use the final shortcut on the third lap. You can see in my video that this is precisely what allowed to get the platinum. Good luck user, don't give up.

Am I really that bad? I haven't really mastered powerslide yet, but I tried over 15 times and wasn't even close to winning, I'm really thinking about easy difficulty because I don't really know what I'm doing wrong.

Yeah, medium is tough if you haven't already played CTR in the past. I still had my muscle memory from CTR and medium was pretty easy.

I hate to break it to you user but you need to git gud. I've never played and admittedly I'm garbo but I still placed first after about 5 tries. Practice on time trials.

There’s 4 different amounts you can win which depend on track length; 40, 80, 120 and 160. Additionally, if you keep using the same character or character class too much then the wins begin decreasing. Also, on weekends there’s a 10x multiplier on all wins until you’ve made 4K coins in a 24 hour period.

Start on easy, don't let your pride get in the way. You'll find easy, well, easy - but the difficulty scaling is essentially perfect. Once you finish the adventure on easy, you will be perfectly suited to do it on medium.

Savefiles being corrupted by something and people losing their progress and 101% completions.

One thread had user mention its because of the bonus tracks.
If you TT'd the bonus track last and then quit for the day, it would cause the corruption.
No real confirmationon that though.

Some people have found that once they unlock Tropy, their save data gets wiped, meaning that they have to do literally everything all over again. There is an obvious irony here about Tropy stealing your time and whatnot.

Using the same character doesn't decrease the prize, that was just a guess when only a few people had the game early.

Their specific turn radius is good on certain tracks, but with air-braking being an advanced tech even a speed character can make hairpin turns with enough practice.
