most games back then were highly compressed back then right? The textures, sounds, music, assets were all crushed down to meet the disc sizes.
Why can't they just use the original assets before they were compressed down? It would cost less and look better while still retaining the original look for a remake/HD edition. I'd happily pay full price for old games to get their original assets used in all their uncompressed details.

Looks like they're using 3 as a jumping off point for the humans.

My only problem with the remake is the human designs. It looks dead wrong. The realistic humans being juxtaposed to the unrealistic looking crypto made the game far more amusing, making everything cartoony ruins the point of the game. Plus the cartoony designs just don't look as good.

I am just complaining about the cartoony art style, it's funnier seeing a realistic human interact with an unrealistic alien. Hell in the original game that farmer was a hick stereotype, but it was funnier seeing it as a realistic human who speaks in the hick stereotype voice than a caricature. I am just not a fan of the stylised American style comic strip 1950s caricature look.

Yeah, the demo didn't allow new players to have fun with the sandbox at all. The dialogue also wasn't the best Destroy all Humans had to offer. Most people I spoke to just called the demo "okay" (nice way to say mediocre).

Seeing a Crypto with tits dancing was better then that demo. Abhorrent, but at least I felt something at all.

I went to replay the first game again after the announcement. If you just idle the controller while on the mothership, you will hear pox say a bunch of funny lines. I'm quite fond of the original, so I hope the remake can do it justice.

It was the same with vtmb2. The game looks very rough and unfinished to begin with, but whoever is playing is fucking godawful at it.
