>60$
Seriously?
60$
nintendo is a bunch of niggerjews what did you expect?
Actually it's pronounced
>$60
Yeah like every fucking first party console game on the past two(three?) systems thats not eshop shovelware. Why the fuck are you guys acting surpised.
They're going to add more than just a simple dungeon editor, right?
Not that I'm surprised but those werent short gameboy game remakes
Cause it looks like a 3ds budget title
Why is Link's Awakening okay when LGPE isn't by Yea Forums standards?
plus tax, white piggu
Not even surprised. Every Switch game is $60 and that’s why I still haven’t gotten around to playing Arms or Pokken Tournament. I’m probably going to buy it since I’m a big fan of LA, but there better be a fuckload of content in that dungeon builder thing
This.
This is what I feared when the 3DS died, Nintendo no has an excuse for releasing 3DS games on the Switch for 60$
A prettied up Gameboy game is not worth $60 no matter how you spin it
Exactly, this would be like releasing A Link Between Worlds HD for $60. Gamefreak must be happy since now they get $60 for their games instead of $45
>Arms is dead
Link's awakening is my favorite zelda and this is ridiculously priced. But with the huge success of BOTW they are cashing in. The good news is that we will probably get full orchestral versions of all the music.
I would buy that game for $60, honestly
It's one of my favorites in the series
worst cash grab in this generation.
>Every Switch game is $60
CTR is $40
>they're seriously implying a 1:1 remake of a GB game is worth just as much as BotW
(lol LA remake should be $30 MAX.
Not even buying this shit anyway.
>game with new graphics being built from the ground up being priced high is bad
>but a port like SMM2 with muh sun being added is bad
Nintendo "fans" are bad.
Stay mad poorfags
I'm guessing they meant almost all 1st party games are $60
Stay mad buyfag
Yeah it’s pretty bullshit but for me it will take twice as long to complete and eventually be worth it because I spend so much time looking at the graphics
Just because I can afford it doesn't mean it's something I'd be interested in purchasing.
Why is this a surprise to everyone? All brand new Nintendo games are $60. The re-releases of Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Breath of The Wild, and Pokkén Tournament are all $60. The port of Skyrim is $60. Of course a complete remake is gonna be $60. Why the hell is everyone singling out this game? It doesn't make any goddamned sense.
Every single time, they make being an idort harder that is if cfw wasn't a thing Not even $10 off or anything and it's basically the same scaled experience.
Why is Nintendo so greedy when it comes to prices? Games on the 3DS from like six years ago are still nearly full price.
I agree. I think it should be $40 at the absolute most.
The dungeon editor is a good idea I just wish they had made an actual "Zelda Maker" rather than tacking it onto this.
Dark Souls Remastered you mean?
60 dollars is a God damn joke. Also, tell me this. Why isn't this available as a download for Wii U? Give me one sane reason why I can't load up my Wii U's e-shop and download this. It's fucking Nintendo horse shit again, cashing in on a retro fad 10 years too late. Classic Nintendo.
i got CTR because there's still no discount for the MK expanded port that came out in 2014
>Buy Nintendo game
>Oh shit i'm having fun
>Time to sell
>Get the same ammount of money back on Ebay
Try doing this to your Steam games LMAO
I literally bought Octopath Traveller for 40 bucks because of a promo and sold it for 40.
Now i enjoyed the game and i got my money back
Here's you
>Why is this a surprise to everyone?
Because when it was only announced on nintendo direct everyone was like "haha i'l buy it if its $20, probably won't cost like full launch title, right?". And after assuming its a cheap title everybody started defending simple aesthetics and artstyle.
The whole line of defense of how shitty it looks was the idea it wasn't full fledged title.
Dark Souls remastered was good (on PS4) I got another 100 hours out of it and the online being alive again was worth the price. I platinum’d it in one week.
Expecting this shit to make Nintendo some big fucking returns. Nothing will ever beat MK8D in terms of low effort games that netted Nintendo a fuckload of cash though. Unless you count Wii Sports, which was still more effort than MK8D.
Why would you even save that image?
I'm not a poorfag and the price doesn't bother me either way (actually being interested in this remake is another story) but I can't do this I'm too much of an autist when it comes to hording games.
How young are you? I'm guessing like 18. You're greener than grass my guy.
Probably because all those ports were worth 60 burgers upon their original releases, which were not that long ago. Link's Awakening is instead drawing a lot of comparison to the N. Sane Trilogy, which consisted of three games priced at 40.
Of course.
This is the same company that ported Tropical Freeze (just TF, not even the first DKCR) to Switch for $60. And people will buy it, because they're retards.
Not from what they've shown, no.
Maybe they secretly added 50 new dungeons, each of which induces immediate orgasm, but I doubt it.
Exactly. This is another slippery slope, another dangerous precedent to be set. If they know they will get away with this, they will never stop, other companies will get emboldened. Don't believe me? Take a look at Microsoft charging for online play for 2 generations while it was free on Sony and Nintendo. Look where we are today. Worse for everyone.
>there better be a fuckload of content in that dungeon builder thing
There doesn't seem to be.
All the rooms are pre-made, taken from the original dungeons. You just rearrange them and try to fulfill certain conditions.
This tropical freeze is one of Nintendo's laziest ports from recent memory. They only get away with this because so few people owned a Wii U.
It’s not $60, it’s $59.99.
It hurts trying to be a fan of anything Nintendo related. Just look at their youtube page alone, any game there that has an ounce of originality is third party. Then look at the 1st party, it's remake or no-effort sequel. Pokemon, Zelda, Fire Emblem, etc. they've been milked so much I don't even need a gameplay trailer to know what it's going to be like. We shit on CoD so much when some of that fecal material should be reserved for Nintendo too.
>$60 remake that looks like it was made in unity
>$0 rom you can find on google
Who will win? The results may shock you...
Based
Could be worse.
>and that’s why I still haven’t gotten around to playing Arms or Pokken Tournament
Both of these games have gone on sale for way cheaper.
Agreed. I didn't even buy a Switch this gen. Same shit as the Wii U literally
Things don't have intrinsic value. Something costs as much as people are willing to pay, deal with it.
How about that Super Mario Deluxe? Looked like the same game I played in 2013.
yeah but you don't die of preventable illnesses or go bankrupt from medical bills so there's that
I heard Larry Nintendo said because Canadians put mayonnaise on hamburgers they were charging more. For the lulz.
Slave mentality.
>last unique 2D conventional Zelda was Minish Cap in 2004, 15 years ago
>then we got two DS games that went overboard on stupid gimmicks
>then we got ALBW which could have been great if it wasn't obsessed with rehashing LttP
>now they are just outright reskinning LA to overcompensate for BotW being so different
Fuck Aonuma for continuing to ruin 2D Zelda. The boat and train bullshit was his idea, making ALBW have the same world as LttP was his idea, and reskinning LA seems to be his idea as well.
I'd like to believe they won't get away with this, or that they've secretly put both Oracle games in there as a bonus and everyone's gonna scream about how based they are when they find out. But this is honestly business as fucking usual.
Nintendo added a meme power-up to bait a ton of fanart to gloss over the sheer laziness of that port.
Cadence of Hyrule is a better deal AND a better Zelda game.
And it's made by an indie dev.
Oh yeah and Triforce Heroes, which was a fun enough spin-off I suppose, but not amazing, and pretty much unplayable nowadays since it's essentially a multiplayer game with a tacked-on single-player mode.
I'm not as much a fan of the 2D games I've played aside from ALBW, but it is sad that they don't make more of them and more original ones at that
It'll do fine just on the basis of '90s nostalgia being as lucrative as it is.
I bet most of the sales will be from people who got Link's Awakening DX for Christmas in the late '90s are gonna buy it and then just play it for an hour before never touching it again.
Yeah, the price tag was seriously the deal-breaker for me. Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda game, but it's like eight fucking hours long if I'm being generous, and it doesn't look like they're doing nearly enough to justify charging full price for it. I'll just play the 3DS port that I bought for like seven bucks years ago.
For that amount of money, it better secretly have remakes of both Oracle games and The Minish Cap on there too.
To be fair they seem to have a bunch of 'puzzles' where you have to build dungeons based on certain parameters. No idea how engaging that will be, but that's clearly where the meat of the thing is.
You only play Zelda games made by indie devs? What kind of stupid fucking metric is that?
dumb sheep
>dollars sixty
burger education everyone
That's the worst part, they already had LA on the 3DS's virtual console. Feels like they didn't bring VC to Switch for this very reason, so they could milk old games even harder.
>fifty nine and ninety nine cents dollars
lmao at these jews. Can't spare a shekel for some quality vidya? This is a day one purchase motherfuckers. Quality Nintendo product right here. Name a game you spent $60 on that wasn't Nintendo-branded and was worth the money or held its value. You literally can't.
>boo hoo I suffer in first world Canada
kys faggot
Minish Cap is unique but not that great in retrospect.
59$99
59$99¢
only nintendo can sell indie games done by literally 3 people for an overpriced 60$. And nintendo kiddies eat it up.
NINTENJEWED
Of course Zoomers would barf out KingK's shit opinions.
but muh nostalgia
I fucking love LA, and I'd love to get this shit, but it's hard for me to justify a whopping $60 price tag for a game I already know like the back of my hand.
Even with the new heart pieces and bottles and dungeon maker and the quality of life changes and whatever else they might be hiding, that's just such a big wad of cash for something I replay literally every couple months. If it were $40, then MAYBE...
It's not perfect but it has a lot going for it, and the fact that I have to go that far back to find a 2D Zelda that isn't touch screen/vehicle bullshit or shamelessly copying the world of an older game is saying something.
ALBW was so close, it just needed a new setting. An LA remake is the last thing the franchise needs right now, it's going backwards.
Implying this isn't going to be one of the highest rated games of the year.
Suck it up seethe boy. Lets predict the metacritic score so we can watch you squirm.
>nintendo sells overpriced shit and nintendarthals buy it no matter what
who saw that coming
I actually don't think the reviewers are going to be as kind to it as they normally are with Zelda.
No one is saying it is but what else would you expect from nintendo?
What, you can't afford it?
The seethe is real lmao. Don't be upset just because you have nothing to play on your dead no-games machine.
>reddit spacing
>trying this hard to fit in
It's time for you to go back
It's a retread of a nearly 30 year old game boy game with a coat of new paint.
But that coat of paint is expensive.
>Witcher 3 is 60usd on switch while 20 on everything else
>Doom is STILL 60 dollaros on the switch after a couple of years after release
I swear to god, Nintendofags are the fucking dumbest shits i've seen. They'll buy anything that has fucking nintendo on it.
Fuck nintendo, im glad i hacked mine.
Why not?
Why doesnt Sony make games anymore?
i'm an idort, meaning i don't have battered bitch syndrome like you when it comes to video games
>$60 for a Gameboy game
>relatively short
>what little new content exists (the dungeon maker) seems lackluster
>BotW is on the same platform so it's easy to make comparisons ("In the age of Breath of the Wild, games like Link's Awakening feel outdated. Revisiting a bygone era of gaming is certainly nostalgic, but the industry has moved on to greater things." You just know some hack will write something like that.)
>much more linear than BotW
>reviewers generally rate 3D Zelda higher than 2D Zelda
Snoyfags are really in meltdown at the moment aren't they? I guess they have nothing else to do. No games.
Didn't critics praise the fuck out of ALBW though, even with it being a 2D Zelda game? Even calling it the best in the series at that time?
It's $76 in my jew ass country + the salary here is much more lower.
Still got lower scores than SS and BotW.
Gotta love the "it's too short" complaint. I love short games. They're paced properly, don't overstay their welcome, and are very replayable. Played LttP and LbT like 20 times each and they never got boring. Ever. Not once. They're also about 5 hours long. In the middle of a Link Between Worlds run right now, in fact. For $60, I'll get a game that's fun from start to finish, as well as something I'll replay a dozen or more times. Easily worth the money.
Oh no it only scored 9/10 instead of 10/10. Nintendo really fucked up.
>LbT
God I'm tired as hell. Meant LBW.
That's true, in that case I'm sure it'll still be given a 90 or something, maybe 91
The whole point is that 2D Zelda gets lower scores even when it's better than 3D.
In the LA remake's case it already has a lot working against it so that extra bias will push it further downwards.
Fucking this. LA is near perfect game design. I play it at least once every year. So glad I held off playing it this year so I can experience this gorgeous remake. I've lost track of all these 80+ hour adventures which I start and then just lose interest. I rarely ever finish games now unless its something really special like BotW.
You said it yourself all brand new ones which is not the case here
>In the LA remake's case it already has a lot working against it so that extra bias will push it further downwards
?????????
Learn to read reply chains newfriend.
I love short games too but $60 for a Gameboy game I can go emulate right now is frankly shit. $20-30 should be the actual price but it's Nintendo. Keep in mind there are a ton of great actually new indie games that are cheaper than that.
More like Nintendofags are allowing Nintendo to fuck them up the ass.
>Crash remake with 3 games = 40$
>Spyro remake with 3 games = 40$
>SOTC remake = 40$
>Gears 1 remake = 40$
>MCC (4 games with one being remade) = 60$
>Link's Awakening (A remake of a GB game) = 60$
I like LA, but Nintendo can go fuck themselves if they want to charge 60$ for a GB remake. I have no idea why they would charge 60$ for such a game when you can put that 60$ into games where you would get a lot more mileage.
Meanwhile tree hunnit dorras for a small part of a PSX game.
Don't get me wrong, FF7R is fucking stupid. How SE stretched a 4 hour prologue into a 30 hours 60$ games is beyond me, but at least its a new game.
Why do I keep seeing Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun reaction images around?
THE STATE OF POOR PEOPLE
Based
It's not fair they get an education but that's what I get for living in the UK.
With the success of SMM, this title's dungeon maker is a test to see interest in a potential Zelda Maker. Personally I would fucking buy a Zelda Maker in a heartbeat, making your own 2D top down Zelda maps sounds so comfy. But Nintendo are dumb Jews and will probably release SMM3 before that happens.
