Played through the first three and going through 4 now, and I still say P1 had a stronger feel of uneasement that's still felt in P3 but is kind of gone in P4 despite it being about murders. I enjoy P4's cast, and the social links naturally give you more time with them, but I still grew to like P1's cast.
P2 was weird, though, but it still had quite a bit going on, and as said, the adult cast in EP, alone, makes it stand out.

I wouldn't worry too much about it until new game plus. On your first playthrough it is damn near impossible to get everything maxed out so you might as well just hang out with the characters you like. And your characters getting maxed out doesnt mean much. Like wow. Evasion against the element they're weak too as opposed to just full on not being weak to it in older games so you can still get doodle by a teammates weakness. It's honestly not a big deal. Only had like 6 confidants maxed out when I beat the game the first time.

I disagree, P5 is really easy to max, everyone should aim for it on their first playthrough since it's very easily doable, all you have to do is level up Fortune and Temperance as early as you can (and do death to get the sp adhesives so you can do every palace in one day) and you should be set, as long as you don't pointlessly waste days then you should have plenty of time

You're just making the game less enjoyable for yourself by minmaxing and doing the palaces all at once , sometimes it takes hours for one

P1 is the worst one

I remember there being moments in P4 that felt unsettling, but they were such small pockets that they got overwhelmed by the rest of the game's happy go lucky nature. Maybe it had to do with the soundtrack? I love the soundtracks in both games, but P4's was noticeably more cheery compared to 3's, which to me always felt like it was telling me that the story wasn't going to have a happy ending.

In terms of combat all you really need is your teammates, Mishima, Shogi girl(the only reason I dated her was to get the bonus point on the Valentines event), Get Smoked kid, Nurse and Gun enthusiast.

I would've love to have known that on my first playthrough unfortunately the confidant link to know that ahead of time was Fortune itself so fuck off.

The character designs look very much like they’re trying to go for a “look, this is a real Japanese person just like you and me mr.miyagi” right down to their realistic faces which is a very westernlike design philosophy to have when designing characters.

It's more then that though. Angels and demons aren't necessarily evil, they are just bound to the limitations and nature humanity has created for them. Even YHVH, for all the wrongs he does, does so because humanity created him to do so. In megaten the conflict is a lot deeper as the sides of law and chaos, while both lead by demons, is still a product of human nature. Only in IV:A did they fuck up and really try to push the idea of law and chaos being just full on mustache twirling villainy.

Demons are created by human nature, you can't "go back" to anything as they can't exist in any other way. While demons do have free will to a degree they are ultimately a product of how humanity sees them. If a demon os said to be evil that demon will act evil, they can't do anything about it.

In Celtic mythology Dagda is literally a fat ass that parties and gets wasted while trying to fuck as many goddesses as possible, he couldn't be farther from his depiction in IV:A.
