WHEN does it get good?
WHEN does it get good?
soon, maybe.
If you want an enjoyable challenge you'll never find it in warframe. Spy missions are as good as it gets but the target audience is too retarded for that kind of content.
this. the main point of the game is to farm for possibly a more exciting way to farm some more.
Literally never.
It's an endless grind with no goal except grinding for more gear and arbitrary completion checkmarks. The only leveling system is literally having leveled every single piece of gear that exists. There is one way to enjoy the game, and one way only: If you like the actual gameplay, the mindlessly rushing through levels while dispatching medium sized hordes of faceless enemies on the side, then you can find fun in the progression. Once the gameplay core gets old and you lose your ability to enjoy it, you're fucked.
It happened to me this month.
Sounds like Monster Hunter
When Melee 3.0 comes out
The challenge is grinding enough to the point where you can solo every piece of content
If you dislike endless progression, never. All that grind but nothing to use any of it on.
When you uninstall and look up the porn instead
So around the time you get a halfway decent gun and a full serriation?
>auto-block
>right click by default switches back to gun yet is still used in combo strings
>even the new 'streamlined' examples with NuKong's iron staff they coded with memelee 3.0 in mind
Just another inevitable shitshow, like all of their revamps.
You know the excitement you get in MH for fighting a new monster, getting a stronger weapons/armor. Warframe lacks that
Picture how the deco RNG system is in MHW. Thats how everything is in Warframe. Its a lot worse
When you become a Warframe content creator and make 5,000 dollars a month on Patreon like QuiteShy.
It's somewhat similar, but in Monster Hunter there's also getting familiar with bosses, and actual linear weapon progressions until you hit end game. In Monster Hunter, you grind to get stronger to fight stuff you can't fight yet. Once you have that, you're done.
In Warframe you grind just for the sake of grinding while you can already literally clear 100% of content blindfolded on your own while jerking off, but every other month they just add some meaningless piece of gear to keep the illusion of a still ongoing progression alive.
>2019
>Still no parkour racing pvp mode
Good luck being able to solo a tridolon or an ORB with that.
>t. MR 8
If you had to wait a day for your armor/wep to finish
t. retard
How did it take so many hours for it to happen to you? After 20 hours the gameplay loop bored the shit out of me. Mostly the same enemies over and over
Bosses are awful in warframe and constantly turn invulnerable so players don't melt them too fast.
it gets good when you build an atterax at mastery level 2 and put it on a melee frame like valkyr or a farming frame like nekros/hydroid and dominate everything for the next 25 mastery levels
I really liked this game mostly to play cool looking faceless emotionless robots killing shit mercilessly against techno ravaged enemies. I really enjoyed that.
Then they ruined fucking EVERYTHING by making it that you are some potato kid whos SPECIAL controlling the warframes.
I could get by the grindy gameplay, the samey levels (they really do have a LOT of awesome detail in them) and the shitty RNG...because the asthetic and themes were fucking great but they ruined it with potatoes.
way to fucking be
Sorry, a rubico and a decent amp.
Why do either when you can just run the market for the plat to buy the rewards outright? Its not like mechanically they are enjoyable to fight
For me, I rather enjoy the gunplay, so every once in a blue moon I'll play for a week or so. Usually I'll just find one of those assassination missions, and play it solo. I'll kill the target quickly, and then just mindlessly kill goons for however long it keeps me entertained. Usually I'll toss a podcast on in the background or something, and just zone out.
I normally don't ever visit this shithole of a board but I was looking for the SGDQ thread and saw this thread.
Here you go
/Lotus/Language/Locations/ConclaveRacing [PH] SUPER WARFRAME KART
/Lotus/Language/Locations/ConclaveRacingAlternative [PH] SUPER WARFRAME KART DELUXE
/Lotus/Language/Game/Racing_Description [PH] Gotta go fast
/Lotus/Language/Game/Racing_Title [PH] YOU'RE TOO SLOW
well weapons in MH actually plays differently. Literally almost everything in Warframe plays pretty much the same.
Kart is parkour now?
>Rubico and a decent amp
Did you forget the entire focus tree? You won't solo an tridolon before night is over with just that. You're also acting like amps aren't locked behind a grind wall.
>when does FTP game get good
There's no point where it "gets good." It's an infinite grind toybox game. You grind for that cool item or character or combination you want, then you screw around with it and move onto another thing you wanna try out after you're tired of it. And then when you're burned out of the game, you stop playing for a few weeks/months and do other shit.
That's the best way to enjoy this infinite beta game.
Everything about space children is unfun. The grind. The lenses. The overpowered energy bubble.
when you spend more money
it doesnt
>you are some potato kid whos SPECIAL controlling the warframes.
No way that is real but wit how stupid things are getting I have to believe it.
It's starts out good and then gradually becomes worse as you reach the point where playing the mission is reduced to pressing 4 a couple of times.
is 5,000 dollars a month considered a lot of money in your third world country?
user I...
As I said, the core gameplay was enjoyable, so I didn't mind.
Recently, something fundamental changed and everything suddenly felt the same, even when they released actually decent content with the Jupiter rework.
Wukong rework good yay or nay
at least it isn't boring
The most fun I had in warframe is being a mega space jew buying part blueprints from warframe.market and selling them as sets to retards and noobs on the trade chat for massive profits. All the plat you could ever want.
>No way that is real
It's been like this for years user
Unless you mean its some meta thing. I'm tired ok.
Oh yeah, it's god mode.
sorry user but you are indeed a turbo autist teen who controls a space robot made of flesh
actually I wouldn't say autist since there was an actual autistic tenno who was bullied and he became ultimate edge and got best warframe.
no no, its very real. an entire quest chain revolves around the reveal. Ironically its a good and fun quest chain! which is very rare in the game...but it hurts because while you are finally getting a good quest sequence, said quest sequence is literally destroying what is good about the game.
The best part is how straight faced they were when discussing the quest and how important raising autism acceptance was.
A few summers ago I played this game for 300 hours.
I don't think I will ever touch it again.
Harrow's questline also legitimately spooked me, so there's that
I would ask why but I already know. I'm going to bed now, thats enough internet for today.
They just put in the "kids are cruel" thing. The tenno were already freaks but then one of them happened to be austistic too which even the tenno kids thought was weird, so he was ULTRA WEIRD and got bullied for it
Backing this up.
Yeah my dudes, it's pretty deep in there. A good portion of the story is held back until you unlock multiple planets and themselves insequential order. Basically, they were trying to frontload the gameplay so you couldn't complain about the story and the people that have stuck with the game past that have already invest more than enough platinum to benefit from them.
Also fully unlocking kid mode can lead to some very disorienting combos, because you warp back to where you left your Warframe. You CAN get something that'll let you just warp your frame to where you are, but that could easily be more damage and fuck that.
>its another "lets spend time developing novelty gamemodes people will forget about a week later instead of fixing current issues or making new viable content" episode
are you looking more forward to Initial D Frame or Vore Frame
So its the game of kick the autistic as a backstory for one character.
It took them years to rework WuKong. Expectations are low.
That's DE's development cycle in a nutshell. Add a broken system on top of previously broken systems and maybe get around to fixing or implementing changes to them 3 years later when no one fucking cares.
Fat Bastard since 'be fast' has already happened across several frames, so I've got an idea of how it'll turn out.
Hells yeah gimmie some of that initial D frame
youtube.com
Who's Cluster?
Wukong had to get a rework eventually since he's slated for one of the next primes (with Atlas) anyways, the same thing happened with Zephyr.
>bring back plaguestar
>bot STILL gets stuck on pathing
They're making a fat frame? That's fucking awesome. I hope he forsakes the ninja running in favor of tanky "Fuck you, come at me" shenanigans.
The listed things they mentioned were that it had a stomach mouth (the Zig-zags on the belly open up) and that it can apparently make a black hole and suck shit up into said stomach mouth.
And it might be a girl?
They have to animate nearly an entire library for it since the stock animations cause him to clip terribly, so it's a safe bet he's going to have alternatives to sprinting and bullet jumping.
never, the devs specifically designed the game not to organically teach you how systems work so you don't figure out it's nothing but 4 enemies on repeat in all their "content"
>make thread as a joke to see how shit Yea Forums is
>it actually gets replies and discussion
not sure if i'm impressed or depressed
The thing with warframe is it isn't a game you can play nonstop, unless you plan the grind ahead of time.
Sadly, the game has so many things going on at once sometimes you can become overwelmed.
The buildtimes on items suggest you can give a break until then, or do something else in the mean time.
Starting up you can do so many things.
When new content is added, you tend to repeat the planning and executing phase.
When you achieve what you wanted to do, you wait till the next update.
As long as you make the most of the time playing, you will never get bored unless you believe its impossible to progress, or attempt to farm a shitty drop table for too long.
Patience and Self Control will allow you to enjoy it without dying on the inside from warframe overdose.
Are you guys seriously saying knowing that you're playing as a human playing as a frame ruins what is the same gameplay otherwise?
Every time you get to another stage in the quest or play a new unique mission or such.
Other than that, it's grinding game.
They pretty much already backed themselves into having to do unique movement animations once they did Wisp. Now if only they would let me use Wisp's animations on other frames like Titania
>make thread about game
>Yea Forums discusses game
how could we let this happen bros...
neither, we're just refugees from the general who are sick of that attention-starved shitposter and the manufactured clan drama they thrive off.
fucking yes. The game revolves around infinite grind, supported by middling gameplay and almost nonexistant plot.
All it had going for it was fantastic art direction and amazing visual themes.
so yes, ruining the themes because of some dumb fucking potato kid shit was devastating to the appeal of the game.
Warframe isnt Path of Exile. it does not have very engaging gameplay. So it has to rely on other things and failed because why the fuck should i bother with the game if it became just another "special kid" episode with worse gameplay that most of the shit out there?
the human pilot is an actual gameplay mechanic, mandatory for some things too.
I imagine most people who get burned out are the folk who think you should just play MMO-like sessions, instead of doing a few half-hour sessions a week.
It still amazes me that people still don't get the point of build times. The game is literally telling you to go do something else.
the only "good" part of the game are the story quests, endgame is trash
>tfw doing a spy sortie with randoms
real shit
The gameplay vastly changed through the addition of operators. The clear speed of large spaces literally exploded. New bosses forced you to level the weakling human form through another tedious grind. Now operator makes dying impossible, focus makes running out of energy impossible, void dash makes being slow impossible.
In lore, turning your battle hardened, ancient Tenno warriors into autistic accident space kids who seem to have no tactical knowledge or any kind of principles pretty much ruins anything you would want to see in a story.
Having kids as your main protagonist also stops major draws for video game avatars: being sexy and/or self-inserts, being generally just wish fulfillment, being aesthetically pleasing, a fleshed out character, you name it.
>Spy sortie
>Bring Ivara
>everyone else brings like fucking RHINO
play Destiny instead, it's going free to play soon and the new DLC is going to be as good as the forsaken.
That makes sense. I could never get into this game just because I can't stand the art style, but having what you like turned on its head is even worse, I can kind of see the appeal of Excalibur's design.
If your game gets more fun the less I play it then it's a shit game.
Be nice
Dude you sound like a shill and I like to play d2, holy shit kek
The issue with operators on release were they did nothing.
Give a buff to your warframe, and fuck off to somewhere remotely.
Then they changed focus entirely.
Then they made your operator a seperate playing entity.
Then they forced you to used this weak fuck to do things.
Plains of Eidolon turned things around quite dramaticly, however.
Operators became stronger, and had many more uses.
Then the fucking Ballas shit happened, and now we are a damn abandoned child.
Then the Umbra Reveal happened and now our operator in in rebellion mode.
Then the Chimera happened, and now the operators have become independent and no longer a fucking child who wants their mommy to tell them what to do
The issue here?
It took them this long to turn the direction of what turned off players around.
As it is, everything should be fine, but because they probably wanted the story to go a different way in the first place, that is probably why the reveal was a disappointment.
>same thing happened with Zephyr
I haven't played in quite a while. Zephyr was always one I enjoyed to play. What did they change?
>sortie
>anything except intercept
>public
You brought this on yourself
>needing training wheels for spy of all things
MRlet need not apply. Maybe you are better off running it in pubs after all.
To this day the marketing is pretending the tone of the game hasn't been undermined at its core.
youtube.com
It doesn't.
>Grind to 30 on a Warframe and weapons
>Slog for mats and wait 24 hours for them to craft or pay up front to get them now goy
>Play the 4 different mission types over and over.
>Grind to 30 and repeat steps ad nauseum
There's also the personality cult side of it if we dip into the narrative for a moment. The community has always been pretty split on allegiance to The Lotus, the mission handler for the uninformed, but with the addition of voiced 'protagonist' characters and their unquestioning loyalty, the player is forced into a narrative they might not agree with. I know I got sick of her voice after a couple months and knowing my gremlin is 100% devoted to her annoys the hell out of me, especially with recent story events.
The do but you have to pay for it. I'd rather they just go back and let titania float when running and walking. Also Wisp still walks when ADS but strangely enough if you're holding a datamass or something similar, she will ADS while floating and it looks natural. DE are some pretty lazy cunts.
They are here, let it die.
>The do but you have to pay for it
It's just the idles, user there wants the whole floating set.
Dammit. The thread wasn't terrible while it lasted.
>plague star comes around finally
>can finally get the exodia contagion/epidemic arcanes, the only thing i need from it
>cost 5k standing each
>only get 3k standing max per plague star run
>need 10 of each arcane
>do the math
>will take me THIRTY-FOUR (34) runs to get everything
>mfw
are these things even good anymore?
Her 1 and 2 were basically combined into the same thing but based on context, I forgot what else but her tornados and shield thing were left untouched since there was nothing wrong with them
Zaws are still meta melees, but Paracesis is a good alternative for literally everything, including Wolf tier bulletsponges. If you really need to, get one max rank exodia. You can get decent clear speed with the right setup, if memory serves right no Hemocyte spawn was most efficient for standing grind. That is, if you already have the event trophy or don't care about it...
when you open up r34
unless you're talking about the actual game, then it never gets good
>Nuframe is going to ignore we ever had this
youtube.com
youtube.com
This.
Yup, they have arrived. Time to let it die.
the porn is the only redeeming feature about the game nowadays you nigger
But both of those teasers were conceptualized and shipped long after Operators became a thing, how are they examples of something they ruined?
Joining a clan was a mistake. They spam invites and have terrible mics. Just an annoyance.
He's saying that tone shown in those has been lost.
That's why you just do a small clan with your friend. Big clans have no real advantage over a small one since the amounts for research and shit are multiplied according to how the clan member limit (ghost clan limit is 10, shadow clan has limit of 30 and costs are thus x3, moon clans have a member limit of 1000 and their costs are x100 higher than a ghost clan)
The only research thing that is even difficult to achieve as a ghost clan would be for the Hema but fuck that thing
Hes busted but still plays the same albiet a bit more active.
When is Space Mom coming home fellas? She's not gonna stay evil, right?
She can't stay evil if she's dead.
we can make a new space mom. hotter, milfier
saryn-level. they made him OP as fuck. you have to be retarded to die as him and he shits out damage.
>mfw I duo farmed Hema
My friend plays it and when he told me the twist and how it was revealed, I was genuinely shocked.
I like that they gave cloudwalker a heal too so if things actually start going downhill you just puss out for a couple seconds
Started to pick up for me at the 600 hour mark, just keep playing 10o!
Then "he" should have gone with some of the earlier pieces. The moodier, ambient trailers from when they still used taiko drums and everything was distant and unfamiliar. Because all those prime trailers to me are just flash over substance with some pretentious 'makes you think' narration which are all aspects the game is still very much riding on. Ballas' voice is sexy as fuck tho
>not just spamming magnus elevate for literally a second
warframe is good for what it is. It fills the niche that dynasty warriors used to. Throw on some netflix/ music and kill stuff mindlessly.
See, I tried this, and I got pretty far, but eventually I reached a point where I felt as if I became TOO op. Every fight felt trivial and there were no other weapons or warframes to boost. I felt like I hit the ceiling of what the game would allow and that was it. Every mode that came out afterwards just felt so easy.
Nah. Hok has the best arcanes for status weps. Only get the plague arcanes if you're autistic, but definately get both infested zaw strikes.
I forget about operator arcanes lol
I posted them, and while they were released after the operators, they clash pretty harshly with what operators have turned the gameplay into. The cinematic bits still cling to what Warframe was and could have been, while the actual game has moved on into a different direction. There's a clear disconnect between those two things.
>When is Space Mom coming home fellas?
Into the sun
This, Don't spawn the hemocyte and run the mission with aoe damage frames to make it a quick joke. The rep you gain from fighting the boss isn't enough to matter anyways when you consider time invested vs payout. it's faster and pays out a little less rep not spawning him.
As if Rebecca will let that happen.
I bet you're a fucking mrlet too
Reb posting?
If you dont live in some coast city 5k a month isnt bad
get that pasty-ass, overexposure filter using trainwreck out of here.
I really wish they would bring her back already. Space Mom has always been a pretty cool concept of brotherhood and unity among Tenno. She wasn't some unseen force of nature or faith-fueled concept;she was a very real entity. She gave you orders, and you follow them without question because she has been an always was someone who cared for you and knew what you were capable of. But now that she's gone, it honestly feels less personal. Like your loyalty now lies in whichever jobber is handing out the quests. It breaks the illusion of Tenno being a small army of loyal soldiers fighting for a cause and turns it into just a bunch of mercenaries running around doing odd-jobs for a quick buck.
I may just be being autistic about this, but the feel of the whole game just seems different now, and it's honestly messing with my immersion enough to annoy me. If she does come back, that's great and all, but if she does, I honestly don't know if I'd want to keep playing
r00d
She looks like she fucks black dogs.
>Does
Sorry, I meant "dies." If she dies, I'll be upset
I'd imagine that in new war we'll either "Save" her or end up killing her but then.... :(
I'm in the same boat, I liked the lotus desu.
>got pretty far
>reached a point where I was too Op.
This is a major misconception.
Perhaps the greatest noob sin of this game.
You will eventually find your OP build will be useless under many circumstances.
No weapon, no warframe is a God.
If you think you are powerful, you are still in early starchart, or not even obtaining everything you can.
Perhaps the endgame is knowing what tool to use to complete the mission or difficult missions you have clearly failed to get to.
There are many weapons and frames, and many mods to attribute to them as well.
Heck, Riven mods turn the system sideways, but even if you have a "god riven" even that weapon will underperform in many circumstances.
The biggest issue with this mindset is it is a primitive one, many missions that are difficult have been since introduced. Many rewards that boost your strength to beat that challenge, but not all.
Warframe's biggest strength is no player will ever have the same loadout, or mods equipped on there gear on every mission,
Because there is no optimal god build.
You are the pioneer, you must discover what fucks you over so hard, you must adapt and break the barrier that will hold you back.
>I may just be being autistic about this, but the feel of the whole game just seems different now, and it's honestly messing with my immersion enough to annoy me.
You are absolutely correct. I miss mommy.
>difficult missions
>many missions that are difficult have been since introduced
>no player will ever have the same loadout
This has to be bait.
And yet there's still a very strict range of meta equipment, with many of them being such across the bulk of mission or scenarios. Your cute speech really only works if taken at face value, of referring to literally a single build or piece of equipment in each slot.
No way it isn't. Biggest crock of shit I've had the displeasure of reading this year.
Eidolons.
The Quad Hemocyte.
The Orb Mothers.
J3 Golem
Archwing missions without Archwing mods to boot.
Elite Sanctuary Onslaught farming for Lato Vandal or Braton Vandal.
Farming for all the Ephemeras.
Farming Xiphos.
If I had to list every single piece of content that is just the smidgen difficult, I would run out of Characters in this post.
If you think that you can beat everything with a select few frames and weapons, you fail to realize just how little options you choose to give your self when you can have so much more if you knew how not to play close minded.
VOLT CHADS WHERE ARE YOU AT?
My Operator is strong.
Volt is a Great frame to play, and synergizes with many weapons and other frames.
A shame he isn't the fastest frame alive.
But hey, he can hold defense well, and speed up the faster frames even more, and buff.
Alright I'll give a courtesy nibble here, what is your argument right now user. First post effectively said no singular frame can be used for virtually all the content and then this reply I'm responding to right here says the opposite; that singular frames can do virtually all content only now the problem is I'm being "close minded" for doing it instead of picking less effective frames.
(you) need to practice more on your reel in, user-kun. Blowing your bait so soon is just amateurish.
i was one until recently he was the frame i played most of the game with but i decided to switch off between mirage and khora for now.
All of those have very specific loadouts that are ridiculously better than the next best option.
>Eidolons
Trinity, Volt, Chroma or just solo Volt.
>Plague Star
Nova, Sarpa, Pyrana Prime.
>Profit Taker
Chroma, Battacor, Tombfinger, Contagion Kripath
>Exploiter
Nova
>J3 Golem
Void Strike, Velocitus
>Archwing
Itzal
>ESO
Saryn
>Xiphos
Max range Limbo
Take Nova, Saryn, and Chroma and you pretty much have the entire game covered.
>prime frame is easier to get than the regular version
wew
I was pretty upset that they denied the Sentient themed tennogen for Volt a guy did because muh lore even though here have a fucking sentient themed deluxe skin for limbo that looks like shit.
The tennogen skin looked fucking sweet.
>Eidolons
Fuck Eidolons
There is no real reason to use most frames in the game, that's the biggest problem with warframe.
Imagine when Ivara Prime comes out for Christmas, because Christmas Cake.
when they reveal that you were a tranny all along
When you build that new warframe or weapon,
When you find that new mod, \ prime part from the relic, or item from the drop table,
When you unlock the new mechanic to use alongside your current existing builds,
When you get enough resources to build that thing you wanted to build.
When you unlock the thing you want from the syndicates.
When you complete each quest
When you almost don't recognise what you were for what you are today,
When you always get the best stats in the end mission screen
When you find out how to sell your loot to create a self sustaining income ingame.
So many milestones which make the game "better" but what you think is good is covered on all fronts, however long it will take to reach that milestone, and beyond.
It varies. Better have alot of time, or know how to plan accordingly.
How the fuck did you reach that conclusion from that premise?
The gunplay is enjoyable when playing in some of the more reasonable systems but it's completely ruined when trying to solo systems like Pluto which are an absolute fucking nightmare.
Speaking of Pluto
FUCK CORPUS
FUCK SNIPER CREWMEN
FUCK RATELS
AND FUCK DE
>vore frame isn't a girl
hah, gay
Just play destiny 2
Would you rather be
A. An immortal ancient space cyborg basically collecting souls every time you get a new frame
or
B. Some retarded fucking kid playing wizard of oz
>How did it take so many hours for it to happen to you? After 20 hours the gameplay loop bored the shit out of me. Mostly the same enemies over and over
Some people manage to pretend that real life is interesting too or playing ARPGs. You enjoy what you sell yourself on enjoying.
Conserve a distinction.
I certainly do not think of my mortal(?) Tenno shell as my body when I'm playing Warframe.
To be honest, the mistake that DE made is not loosening up operator customization: We are void energy and will at this point: I have no reason to take an inferior form.
What the fuck were they thinking with Equinox?
I still think introducing operators was a huge mistake. Just have the tennos be cool silent mysterious space ninjas for fuck's sake, not ugly ass kids with shitty voice acting sitting in giant fucking chambers (which shouldn't even be able to fit on the fucking dropship since the ship itself is like the size of a fighter) controlling the warframes which turn out to be golems telepathically. That's just fucking retarded.
B U Y P L A T
It was fine as a meta story telling device, but horrible as a gameplay mechanic.
Necro prime is the only prime I have, and I don't even have a single part of regular necro.
The little limpet drop ships and your main personal ship are different things. I don't know if they have ever shown what your actual ship looks like.
I personally think it would have just been cooler to keep the warframes mysterious. Fuck having some stupid storyline about their origins and what they really are. Fucking silent space ninjas are way cooler than a bunch of ugly ass kids in spandex voiced by some fuckwits who can't act worth shit. Cutscenes where your operator talks while in his warframe? Fuck that lame shit. It'd be a lot more badass if they just communicated with subtle gestures, like head cocks, slight nods, shrugs, etc.
It exists in concept art. It has similar lines to the limpet, but built up to a significant degree.
The limpet either docks directly beneath the navigation console (allowing access underneath the automatic ramp) or directly beneath the central room.
This is also why different landing craft with incompatible frameworks can be used: You're not trading out your ship, but your boarding pod.
try solo Kuva Surival or ESO for a decent challenge. Sorties can also be tough with the right modifiers
he's a guy, right?
The Tenno aside, Warframe needs to be changed fundamentally at every aspect if we are to have any meaningful gameplay. It is impossible to die, easy to output ungodly damage, energy/ammo is basically infinite, etc. The only way to make a boss "challenging" (aka last more than 5 seconds) is to implement invincibility, completely disable powers, or, as they've done recently, make the fight more about the arena and less about just damage checks, or some other mechanic.
Take the Profit Taker Orb (giant spider) bossfight. On top of having a lot of raw hitpoints, you first have to remove the shields, which cycle between elements, and only that specific element will do damage. Then you need to use special heavy weaponry, separate from your normal loadouts, to damage it's legs to disable it, then finally it's center. Repeat about 4x. You also have to worry about the smaller units, as they can drop threat beacons that can increase the threat level, causing stronger enemies to spawn, miniboss spiders, and cause enemies to scale more. To me, it was a decent bossfight as it requires some actual thinking in your loadout to encompass a majority of elements, but the general community hate it because they can't just BRRT at the boss and be done.
If it wasn't for the restrictions (elements and heavy weaponry over standard weapons) you could easily just one shot the boss and be done with it. There is a Warframe capable of multiplying damage by several hundred, more than enough to overflow damage numbers (26 billion). Sure it's fun to see large numbers but that is just fundamentally broken. There are plenty more frames that may not reach billion levels but can easily one shot the boss if needed.
The only fun parts of the game is using cool new weapons, bouncing around, and enjoying the pretty smooth gunplay. And fashion.
I have no problems with kid tenno story wise but their implementation both in game and in story was absolute garbage.
when you start assassinating dudes then you get some smuck chasing you
Butthurt skinnerbox lovers in denial.
speedrunning raids was the only difficult and enjoyable content. removing them = literally nothing to do
havent tried him again buy he is my main frame
Considering the story shit is completely optional and also completely free i think DE has earned the right to tell the kind of story that they want.
Also from a story perspective, it's hard to write characters with no personality or free will in a way that is actually interesting to see. Destiny has the same kind of problem, the Main Character is such a hollow shell that it's awkward when Ghost says all the player's lines for him.
Nerfing movespeed was a bad move imo. Doesn't feel as great as it used to.
so it's Kirby with a The Thing mouth
Why does the game run like absolute garbage on my PC even on the lowest settings, despite other much more demanding games working just fucking fine? I get framerates of about 4 on Vallis for the first five minutes I'm in there, and if I so much as try to switch weapons or change equipment while the framerate is dipping, I get disconnected from my friends and have to spend TWENTY minutes waiting for the game to crash so I can restart. It actively prevented me from finishing the event that just ended the other night.
> Someone at DE thought these were a good idea

What's with this horrible cycle Yea Forums?
the power creep is literally out of control right now.
You just need better frames.
Your computer is fucked or you haven't updated your drivers in years. I can run it on my laptop which has a 2.8 GHz processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX960m and get about 30-40 fps. Granted it's not 60 fps but it sure as Hell isn't 4 fps
Sounds like you've got a shitty computer
I mean think about it
you can prob hold down a side job while doing the patreon thing
maybe make 20k-30k somewhere else applying your skills and boom
pretty nice
Except Warframe is the anomaly. I play a shitton of other games just fine, usually on higher-end graphics. Recent AAA shit runs silky smooth, shit even Illusion's shitty porn games don't fuck me as bad as Warframe does.
Never. It's a glorified showcase. You grind to get fancy-looking gear then you never get to use it because the devs are total push-overs who nerf anything that the community deems "too hard".
They even removed raids (the only good pieces of content) because they were getting tired of fixing them every update.
It's a total shame too because they have a good framework of a pretty decent action game, it just needs a good challenge or endgame.
Fuck DE.
It's not designed to get good. It's designed to make you grind for weeks while looking cool. I got completely bored of it.
Pretty much. I live alone in a one bedroom apartment so I don't need much to get by so $5000 extra a month would put quite a few pretty pennies in my pocket
If I wanted a grinding simulator I'd just play BDO. At least with that I can just get some labor NPCs to do the majority of the grinding for me.
nef anyo should not have been allowed to give his troops real guns, later levels of plains of fortuna are a slog
It's decent everywhere
PVP. Conclave is only shit on by carebears who play the game like a loot simulator
The one time I tried conclave it was a janky and laggy mess so I never tried it again. Did they fix that shit?
>f I wanted a grinding simulator I'd just play BDO
Holy fuck no. At least the gameplay in warframe is fun.
>no it's not
Compared to fucking bdo, yes it is.
Conclave is hot fucking garbage, basically a shitty GunZ clone but more imbalanced.
I'd know, I abused the shit out of the TOTALLY FAIR insta-kill castanas just to get the conclave skins.
60K a year is a pretty decent living outside of San Francisco
>make shitpost and leave
>200 replies
well i'm actually going to play the game now, so there's that
Personally I think BDO would be great gameplay wise if they implemented actual dungeons since it's got a pretty interesting and satisfying combat system compared to most MMOs in that it uses an action system where you chain combos together instead of just clicking on an enemy and using hotkeys. Pretty fucking dumb that they insist that the combat system should be wasted on lackluster PVP and farming fields of monsters
What game is that?
fuck off steve stop making these threads
Loli Pissing Simulator 2000
The only good conclave shit was that event where it was nikana and shuriken only.
When youve got a decent amout of shit unlocked so you can have fun using what you want but before it turns into lol max this gun then swap to new gun/frame you hate for xp. Then unlock this new thing you dont want cause its not a hek but you cant use hek cause its already maxed and your wasting all that potential xp if you use it.
Never played the raids/trials but did they have good music?
It's a part of why I love Destiny raids
youtube.com
wtf you tricked me that's not a real game???
Made in Abyss, manga, not a game
thanks user
I mean technically that's all you really need. You can kill Hydrolyst with any frame, the correct amp config, and a powerful enough rad-modded gun. Volt/Harrow/Trin are just QOL to speed up farming. If you know all the mechanics to the fight, the only thing that could feasibly kill your is RNG thunder and unlucky residue spawns. Even then, thunder can't touch you if you're airborne.
If you aren't having much fun by the time you're done with Mercury and into Mars then it's probably not your kind of game. Dropping it before you finish Venus would be premature, I feel.
