Well? Everyone else has had their time to shine recently, why not the most based and redpilled 90’s mascot of them all?
Gex Remaster Trilogy When?

The games weren't very good and are only remembered for the quips and 70-90s TV and movie references which will all fly over zoomer heads now.
NICE TRY, BIG BOY.
>make a new gex game
>have to replace all his quips with zoomer memes now
What would he say?
>remake a game where modern audiences won't understand 99% of the references
but they update him so he says memes
something something fortnight bazinga something
Exactly this. They where mediocre to begin with and all the humor would be horribly dated. They could try to rewrite the dialoge but that would likely turn out terrible.
"This exposition is like Peter Griffon explaining a joke"
give it up already
One level would be based on S11E05 of The Simpsons.
Gex 64 was a great early 3D platformer. It doesn't really matter if his humor is dated, it's actually a nostalgia selling point. Zoomers would love to act like they get it.
>battle royale level
>gex makes it to the end
>wipes his brow
>looks at camera
>feels like I’ve been here for a fort night
i only ever played gex 3 and it was alright. were the other games even good?
"Hold on, I gotta take a selfie with your severed head"
Or something equally stupid
This is too witty, you cant put it in a game
the GBC game probably taught me more about platformers than anything else I've played
>mid-level checkpoint
>gex snaps
>and just like that, 50% of the level is gone
yeah, I'm thinking I'm back
>just wait til I get my royalty check for the 3DO Classic!
The first one was pretty mediocre but wasn't actually terrible. The second game was when it went 3D and it's pretty average in terms of 3D platformers from that era (the absolutely garbage camera was the main complaint back then). As others have said his games never rose above mediocre to average and the main draw of the series was the jokes. The US and EU versions actually had different scripts and actors if I remember right.
Why Gex had so many voice actors?
US Gex was always Dana Gould. Don't know what was up with the other versions.
The Gex games were better than Banjo-Kazooie.
>last time i had a new game, john romero was relevant
>is this a remaster, a remake, or a reboot? the answer is... yes
>if this game came out before 2006 i'd have a hot human girlfriend but nooooo some blue asshole had to ruin it for everyone else
>if you're trying to 100% this game then i hope you preordered
>after i'm done saving the world i have an insurance company to sue for copyright infringement
>now it's only a matter of time until i get my smash invitation
I'd rather have game trope quips. It'll age better and not be as cringey.
Have Gex.
One of the most dated game series
>that second one
Holy shit I actually kek’d out loud. I can picture him saying it
I still like the first game.
Square owns him now. They'd rather make more JRPGs.
Fuck no. Enough with 90s nostalgia pandering already. I play new games to have new experiences.
