I used to work for a Chinese restaurant. This place wasn't your normal hole in the wall run by some vaguely Asian people that are definitely not Chinese.
These guys woke up 6 days a week at 6AM to come to work and make everything from the noodles to the meats by hand. Everything marinated in sauces they made in store. The duck sauce, the house sauce, and even the soups were all made from scratch.
Their store wasn't the busiest and they cared as much about their employees as they did their customers. They busted their ass for little profit and refused to do it differently because their way was important to them. They were also a legitimate family and treated their employees like family too.
As a thoroughbred Amerimutt, I can say without a doubt that I've never felt so welcome anywhere else as I did working for them.
Not saying the bugmen aren't deserving of the Fourth Reich, but sometimes, just sometimes, they can be based and good people.
