The Switch can barely run this game...

Now I understand the frustration people have with Nintendo always opting for shittier hardware.

proof? source? switch is equivalent to a rxt2600 i5 8700

>proof? source?
Myself because this was a backer copy.

I have it preordered for Switch. Is it really noticeable bad? I'm aware it's 30 fps and 720p but how does it feel?

I read on reddit that the launch copies are apparently buggy and unoptimized to all hell, and that the dev is relying on day 1 patches instead of delaying the game for a bit to include the fixes in hard copies. Dunno if it's true since I don't have the game yet, but it seems like a real shit move.

I pray to god this is true so we get better performance but even that seems like wishful thinking.

It's believable. There were a few big updates and shit with the patch for PS4. I would probably wait for that patch to come out though. Don't want to get fucked like some people did on PS4.

Post footage or it didn't happen

Noticeable input lag for one.

Seriously? I switched to Switch for my backer copy because I travel so much for work.

>tfw people don't realize Microsoft and Sony sell their consoles at a loss so they can put in extremely expensive hardware because they have bigger sources of income and make up money in software sales while Nintendo can't do that since their own business is the console manufacturing business

The switch can barely run any game, that's why it doesn't have games

That pink pixie is the best summon friend. I was dying and she was carrying a healing pot to me. Healed me for 300 hp.

looks noticeably worse than the ps4 version

Nah it's just optimized like shit in this case.

why would the switch version be so unoptimized? I have a complete toaster of a 10-year old pc and the game runs fine (30 fps, but everything on epic, shadows on medium)? I don't think this game is unoptimized. I think it's a problem with the switch.

NOW you uinderstand? Good grief.

>indie game
>made by several experienced developers

What do you do, user?

It's indie because it's a really small ass new company making a no name title. In fact, it's the company's first game ever.

My Dulla Head saved me from death by killing the foe that had me dead to rights.

the dev cycle was a massive shitshow so it's a miracle the game is even running at all

the game switched hands through 4 different devs before finally being released

a sidescrolling soulslike is a sidescrolling soulslike user

silver knight is way better, that nigga had my back while I was fighting bloodless and literally blocked all of her attacks while i was the laying the smackdown on her ass

dulla head is pretty good actually because it's fast. pink fairy is just too slow to attack, but at least she can heal.

And she can sing to you.

Docked or?

I have it on the PS4. Haven’t encountered any issues other than long loading times when starting up the game.

The game's still locked to 30fps regardless of whether it's docked or not, unfortunately.

>playing multiplats on consoles
you only have yourself to blame

I hate how nintendo always cheaps out on hardware since the Wii.

I've had it glitch twice where I couldn't jump out of the water. I had to take damage before I could jump again.

ditch the switch

This game would look hideous even on ps2 and the problem is the switch... ok

>indies can't be experienced
lol

Indie = Game is published by the developers themselves. Budget/studio size has nothing to do with something being indie or not.

Ive played it to the end on switch. Its pretty bad performance wise. But im old and sotn on ps1 ran bad as well so Im used to it. I dont really care and still have fun.

The Switch version does not look great but at least I got the PC version too. I mainly got the Switch version so I could take it on the go after I finish it on PC.

uhhhh no. this is unreal engine 4, dude. It's an engine made for the current generation of consoles and pc. the switch just has weak hardware.

The game was already announced to be 30fps 720p docked on Switch. Red flag.
Smells like MN9 WiiU to me.

I have the PS4 version and there are some choppy spots and areas that feel like they dip down to 30 fps like the twin dragon tower and the train. A few visual glitches here and there too.

>A few visual glitches here and there too.

I found one where if you get on top of an enemy that you can ride like a horse or the buer carriage with a rapier equipped and do the technique where you repeatedly mash square, the animation stays in one spot while your character moves around.

I got 100% map completion, but I only got 5 slots on the shortcut wheel. Where the fuck are the rest?

i feel for you dude. I don't have any of these problems on pc. And twin tower is a really cool area.

I'm playing on PC, and in the garden of silence in heavily vegetated areas it feels like I'm still having occasional small framerate dips down from 144 fps

Tfw people will make any excuse for Nintendo, all day every day

Reminder that most Nintendo games are technically indie games, like Mario and Zelda.
