I’m in the same boat as you, just booted it up a few days ago, so far it’s comfy

It's the 3rd best DQ game. It's gonna be good bro

the best dq game.

Steal sickle is fucking worthless

V and IV are

A fun DQ. Not as good as III, but it's up there.

V and IV are better*

A bit of grinding and a lot of charm.

Just a warning, the first several hours can feel slow or simple, you won't get a full party until a way in.
Also, don't spread out your skill points focus on two abilities.

Decent game. Very much a game that is just like every other DQ game before it. This game tricked me way too many times with me thinking it was over only to get fucked by another few hours so I stopped at what apparently was the last trick.

I think you'll like it more if it's one of your first DQs. I had played all the ones before it shortly before this one.

A surprisingly wholesome romance between a man and his horse that will make you feel guilty for wanting to fuck the big titty party mage.

Kino.

My favorite game of all time.
Play the 3ds as it has qol improvements and more content

Best damn rpg on the ps2.

Comfy game
Load times are kind of annoying though. 3DS version fixes them.

Didn't remaster shoehorn her as a potential waifu or am i imagining this

I have the 3ds one coming in the mail soon, random encounters were a deal breaker if I could get a version without

Not shoehorn, but she is an option.

>tfw genuinely liked Medea and often went back to the spring to see if I could get new scenes

I just finished the part where you have to take that fatass kid hunting. I don't really feel like playing much more though. If it wasn't for being able to speed up battles on an emulator I probably would have stopped earlier. I might get back into it after finishing the Mana Collection but I'm not sure.

This quest was an extreme bitch because you have to do some special work around on Citra to make it work because it's the only time in the entire game you have to walk (and only for one fucking lizard) and up until this point, I didn't even think you could since it never let me.

Also, fuck that fat kid. What a little bitch.

PS2 - 3DS - Android
Which one?

3DS on emulator with orchestrated and uncensored patch. Definitive version.

we warned you the game was utter shit, OP.

It was literally one of the most mentioned games in the "Worst JRPG you have played" thread we had a couple hours ago, along with Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

You should have listened to us.

nice

which part on steam should i get to get into DQ ?

Android has trash frame rate and awful music, avoid it like the plague.

Now with ps2 and 2ds, that depends on you. The ps2 version obviously looks better but the 3ds version has some bonuses
>enemies appear on overworld
>can speed up battles to be twice the speed
>two new party members, original only had four total
>new postgame content
>new ending where the protagonist marries Jessica
As said if you get the 3ds version get the patched version. If you think the above content is worth worse graphics then go 3ds. If not then go ps2.
What kind of shitpost is this?
Only Dragon Quest XI is on Steam. It's definitely a good entry point but if you were interested in another DQ game you need to emulate.
