Deadfire is much better.

based Edérposter strikes again

You're going to like the game. You're going to think to yourself "I bet I would have even more fun playing this with a friend". You'll try that and then you'll quickly piss each other off by separating to do completely different things on the map. After that you'll take a break and never come back to the game later.

Just pirate it my dude.
For me it wasn't even with the bandwidth but it's probably be fun with friends. It plays like a shittier Neverwinter

Super fucking good game.

This.

is it though? it looks like remaster of baldur's gate

My wife and I started the game together completely blind. This is exactly how it went. Still haven't gotten more than about half an hour into the game and I've had it for nearly a year.

i remember playing DOS 1 with a friend, we killed a mayor of a town,, stole everything that he had bought op shit from nearly merchants and then never played it again. This is why i was planning on playing DOS2 again(if im gonna decide buying it)

The physical/magical armor system completely ruins the game for me.

Guess im gonna pirate both DOS2 and Deadfire ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Do i need to play pillars of eternity 1 before 2?

> he doesn't like the extra challenge

I haven't played DivOS2, but I imagine so. Deadfire is really cool, having a lot of fun with it in my playthrough rn

>Do i need to play pillars of eternity 1 before 2?
No, you don't need to have.

How can it ruin the game when it literally doesn't matter?

I got bored of DoS1 after 8 hours, but I've heard 2 is better. Is it?

HOLY FUCKING YUMMOLA

>Is it?
No.

good then.

I would highly recommend that you do it. Not necessary per say but it adds some much needed context.

I really enjoyed how I could use Pillars of Eternity 1's endgame save and get consequences for it. However, you can also "simulate" a save in the game.

>The physical/magical armor system
It's cool that there's a resource meter to protect against crowd control lockdown that was seen in the first game.

It's not quite so cool that it's two separate armor bars. If you try to have a balanced party you might suffer a bit. If everyone in your party does one type of damage (physical or magic) you can burn through defenses and hp of your enemies. If your party is split in damage then you don't get to burst people down as efficiently or effectively. So either make your party all mages, or make them physical fighters with support and summoning magic.

that sucks
