I'm not sure I agree user. I know plenty of people who first tried pokemon with Sun and Moon and loved it. As for myself, I'm definitely influenced by nostalgia to an extent, but I just really like the concept of Pokemon in its entirety. Yo-kai and Digimon just don't fill the same hole.
