Is this game good? Is it possible to turn off the borders in the Switch version?

SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTION AAAAAAAAA
Its free on pc.
Try for yourself . Its a ghost & goblins with spanish lore
I don't have access to a PC these days. Thanks for the tip though.
Also you have infinite continues but if you die too much you get a bad ending.
Its is old school tier
I want to play it, but I hate being forced to play with those illustrated borders. My dumb friend got the game and said you can't turn them off, but he doesn't actually pay attention to things like that.
On PC you can definitely turn them off so dunno
Not sure why it bothers you at all however.
i hate people who do that
>"oh is that a setting you can change"
>'no don't think so'
>it's actually prominently displayed in the settings
what do my friends do, shout at the screen for it to change and just shrug when it doesn't work?p
who made the title traduction? whoever made it is fucking retarded
it is good and i don't know anything about the switch port
>Not sure why it bothers you at all however.
I generally don't like to use those borders, because they distract from the visuals of the game in my experience.
I'm one of the only people I know who actually looks through the settings and menus of things.
It's a difficult game and, at least on the free PC version, you have to replay the game twice or some bs like that.
I found it fucking annoying and repetitive
What do you mean turn off? The game isn't made for a widescreen aspect ratio so it will have to have some kind of borders, you can pick the style of borders or set them to black in the menu, otherwise the only option is zooming in.
So, I did some detective work. On the developer's website they say the Switch version has "4 different view modes." I finally found a gameplay video where the guy actually goes through the options:
It seems that all 4 modes include the borders. How lame. What kind of game forces you to use borders like that?
I do mean that I want to set them to black. But, I don't think that's an option on the Switch version. See Is there something I'm missing?
I wish they went with "Maldita Castilla" in all languages
The fuck, looks like they removed it from the soitch port, in the pc release of ex video mode 2 is the one with black borders
I agree
also I'm spanish and I think "cursed castilla" is not the original meaning of the title
I could be wrong but sounds wrong
I'm disappointed.
I think the original meaning would be more close to "fucking castilla"
Castillianbro here, I agree
More like "damned castilla"
yes, that's what I think
with "maldita castilla" you feel like the title despises castilla, a cursed, damned place
while with "cursed castilla" you're saying lmao this place is cursed
>I'm one of the only people I know who actually looks through the settings and menus of things
yeah same here and a lot of my friends are PC folk. i always went into settings before anything else, even on consoles. shit like DoF and motion blur are instantly disabled and i usually like subtitles on because some games have horrible sound design and hearing whats being said can be a chore
Wait I always thought it meant that "Castilla esta maldita" as in globins and skeletons and demos, therefore Cursed Castilla, not like damned Castille or fucking Castilla.
It should have been named Castilla Maldita to appease your autism.
> traduction
Translation, hombre, que no se te note tanto
But cursed also makes sense. It's closer to "maldita" than damned.
Also in the game the land is not condemned by God, right?
I have a friend who goes on and on about how I should use Android instead of IOS, because there's so much more freedom to customize it or do whatever you want with it, yet he takes advantage of none of that. He doesn't even know the settings of his closed systems like his Switch or PS4.
sorry I have a fever
