Completed it on an emulator on my phone. That sniper rifle level/mission/whatever required some tweaking in the settings but I managed somehow. This game is awesome.

don't think so, to be more accurate I just played through the game and replayed the first fight and the part where you beat the shit outta those white flying motherfuckers as Asuka. Always tried going for the exact things they didi in the anime.

N64 emulation is very unreliable in general. Maybe you can fix some problems by tweaking the config, but you may fuck up another thing.
IIRC, Evangelion 64 was very glitchy on PJ64, I remember it having issues with graphic layers, like backgrounds having thick black lines and what not.

Me too, also doing the missions with the keyboard almost broke my fingers.

Yup, I had trouble with it until I realized how to cheese it. I don't remember exactly how, but it was a really simple cheese.

Maybe. It doesn't have much replayability but it'd be nice to play this game without the emulator issues.

I played the hell out of this game in 2005 on a emulator. Haven't touched it since but would if an official digital port was available.

A whole EoE being a bloody battle between Eva-01 vs the series would have been interesting and probably a blast to watch, but ultimately redundant after the Asuka fight.

the budget limitations of nge is what made it good, rebuild was fucking stupid because they had money

All things considered, EoE's budget doesn't seem too cheap.
