Gameplay loop:

Rub the girl's hands and a dream sequence starts (HD Rumble was used here to simulate a heart beat, indicating you're rubbing the right spot.)
A quick VN sequence plays where the girl has a different personality based on what you selected
Intimacy mode (grabby hands from the dressing room) starts and based on where you grab a different color appears. (HD Rumble didn't do much here, just make a noise when water was being fired)
Eventually the background changes to that color and you get a selection of massages that were waggle games on the switch, but there was a joystick option (just no pro controller option)
After the massage an event plays based on the color background you had and a gem fills up.
Repeat

After the gem fills with a certain color you unlock a puzzle piece and see an ending. After seeing all color events and unlocking the illustration you get a true ending.

Pricing was the point. They don't decide western prices until the western release. So Japanese release is completely different in terms of value fairness. Not to mention local market saturation and popularity play a role in pricing.

As someone who got the base game on Switch, it's really not worth it. I don't regret my time with the game as I had received it as a gift, but there's really nothing more to gain after completing all the different scenarios/emotions.

You could just buy Koikatsu Party for the same price as the Heart's Desire Bundle and do WAY more than what Reflexions gives you. If all you really want this game for is touching and lewding, then just get Koikatsu Party and mod the fuck out of it with all the Senran girls you want.

I'd be all in for the game if it at least made you select a card that would end up fitting the predetermined roles (basic girl, ara ara teacher, strict teacher, cherrleader, etc).

The game is all about customization but also expects you to stick to a predetermined story and to follow it to unlock sex scenes. At least Artificial Academy can have batshit insane scenarios, even if incoherent at times.

The creator has been involved in every senran project, and the writer for the games and the second season has also been the same since the beggining, so take that as you will.
If it makes you feel better, the anime story was a combination of scrapped ideas for 7even and stuff from the mobile game, and the way the story went in the game is far better, starting with actually focusing on the tournament and Fubuki, Senkou and Gekkou practically being different characters.

Take in mind that he's still the producer of the series, and that a lot of the silly ideas didn't just come from him, but also from Nan, Kitajima and maybe even other people working on the games.

My issue is less that she *is* perfect and more that she *became* perfect. She was just fine in her debut game, given that she was an extremist that felt there was no room for any degree of evil. and that mentality gave her the flaw she needed to be somewhat interesting.

But once that character arc was taken care of, it's like she completely lost every trace of what could have possibly made her stand out at all. She's seen as a perfect leader by basically everyone around her, to a point where this is said despite the fact that Yozakura often has to help her take the reigns of her team. She's always the most level-headed one in a given situation if she's present, which is again something that's noted by the other teams around her. No matter what her situation, she always seems to just sort of have the answer, or if she doesn't, she's one of, if not the first to figure out said answer.

I'm not so much mad that they resolved her only unique trait as I am that they never replaced it with anything else. Admittedly, I wouldn't know *what* to replace that sort of conflict with, but I'm sure there's something that could be done there.

Does it really count it's a remake of the Burst with shit gameplay. Yea it plays better than EV and is decent this time around, but I would rather much prefer if they carried over the side scrolling beat em up style of gameplay.

While I do agree that Re;Newal is good, I think it would be good if the next game had as much soul put in it as 2 did. Especially in regards to DLC. They need a solid game like DC was with fun and quirky DLC like DC.
