I never felt compelled to go back and finished Dusk.
It's fun at first but the combat becomes boring despite the rather good level design. And the Quake inspired graphics simply suck.

Compare the shotgun in Dusk to Quake and that's all you need to know that Dusk is better

Because it doesnt suffer from bullet sponge enemies and has more varied thematically interesting level design. Why would you limit yourself to only 1 game though is the bigger question.

I'm a zoomer and hated it, just poormans quake, blood clone trying to cash out on nostalgia from people who think the core thing about retro shooters is looking like shit while putting you against brainless mobs of enemies, games like blood and quake had very well designed enemy encounters and combat, what Dusk did is take the things that made old shooters great and simplify it enough for posers.
