I think Banjo and Kazooie are looking perfect this time around. The designs, the voices, the animations, everything is great. The minor changes to Banjo's proportions are fine too for translating him to Smash. The only minor nitpick I have is that Banjo says "Whee!" on the double jump instead of Kazooie saying "Ah-Breee!"

That's a good point. And was the Canary Mary race supposed to be hard? I've been playing through Tooie ans I didn't have much of a problem with it. The only mashing minigame I could never beat is washing Gracie's car 100% in Animal Crossing.

Retroarch just repackages emulators into a more digestible form for people who can't handle each one having its own interface. It's the same emulators either way.
N64 emulation is just shit, best we can hope for is MS to port Rare Replay.
