when does it become fun?
When does it become fun?
When they finally release Travis Touchdown.
once you realize you have an eternal ferrystone
when THE WIND IS PUSHING MEEEEEE
When you stop making low effort bait threads
When you realize wolves hunt in packs
I'm about to play it for the first time. What do I need to know?
When you fight Ur-Dragon
It doesn’t.
once you get to gran soren
but its not for everyone, you may want to stick to your pantyquest: quest for the golden panty type games
When you put it on hard mode and start leveling up fast enough.
Not much, the game teaches you everything and combat is pretty straight-forward. Just have fun.
when YOU WALK AWAY
After you get to GS and are pretty much free to do whatever and go exploring.
I didn't use it at all my first playthrough, I was having enough fun travelling around.
I had to drop the game 3 times because I kept getting bored. I finally finished it though and it was pretty good.
People always say it gets fun once you get to Gran Soren, but am I the only one who got sucked in immediately? I was having a blast from the get-go
You make your own fun out of it. I love the combat and customisation and the minimal exploration you can do is pretty fun, so it clicked with me pretty quickly. Having the right vocation for your playstyle also helps, and the best ones unlock when you get to the City.
Honestly though, it either clicks or it doesn't.
When you stop being a faggot.
Depends on your vocation of choice:
>Assassin
Immediately
>Warrior
Once you get Arc of Might
>The rest
Never ever.
when you drink your iodine
Honestly I started playing on PC a few years ago and felt kinda meh about it at first. I got it again on Switch recently and was able to play it more (portability is pretty underrated) I started loving this shit. Mages feel really cool and charging up to max jut to absolutely shit on an enemy is great. Dagger being dodgy and wrecking climbing weakspots is sweet. And Lash/Arc of Deliverance really makes 2H feel like the kind of anime strength you expect a 2h user to have in a game with dragons.
I think it all clicked for me after doing one or two of the Wyrmhunt quests. Ogres felt like they had way too much fucking HP, but it wasn’t long before new weapons and new abilities started chumping them. I just got to the postgame and am having fun with that dungeon and the sweet boss fights so far.
Yeah. I got filled with an adventurous feeling right from the beginning. Shame the world turned out to be kinda empty, but it was still pretty good. It being my first open world game probably had something to do with it too.
Maybe in the sequel if they do it right.
when you get to BBI
I've restarted this game more times than I can count. Got to Gran Soren and started having fun, went down into some cave area where infinite tentacles spawned then escaped but eventually lost interest again. For some reason the game can't hook me.
Not saying the game is bad, I put over 40 hours in between all of my attempts to enjoy it but it just isn't for me for some reason.
Does the Switch port actually have this guy?
when you kill yourself (unironically)
A lot of people are (rightfully) turned off by the 20 minute escort quest in the early stages of the main story
I don't know what the devs were thinking when they put that in
When you uninstall it and play The Witcher III instead.
I thought that fighting bandits near the Witchwood as a level 2 character was one of the best parts of the game.
