The whole Max Payne trilogy is comfy as fuck as long as you are into the noir genre. They are all good with their respective pros and cons. I find Max Payne 3 to have the most satisfying gunplay of the 3. The experimental noir setting was well made but I still prefer the snowy or the rainy setting of its predecessors. Overall I think Max payne 1 is the best since it is good in every aspect. For me Max Payne1(best in everything but fuck those nightmares with that crying baby)>Max Payne 2(the most noir-ish from the 3, the actors were fitting to their roles than Max payne1 actors/devs and the gunplay even though it turns the slow mo into a superpower is still fun as fuck. Also dat shiny leather coat)>Max payne3( best gameplay of the 3, the experimental story and setting even though its good is a step down to the series and the kojima level of cutscenes may get a bit annoying. I felt Max Payne 3 was the comfiest of the 3)
