As one of the biggest franchises in the whole world owned by one of the wealthiest companies, saying you won’t put every previous Pokémon and gimmick into the latest entry in the mainline when that was the trend reeks of GameFreak’s incompetency finally catching up with them. The game should go to a bigger team.
But my personal gripe is that here we have the potential for the best online Pokémon experience to date. Things like battle lobbies, random doubles online, etc etc. But not being able to bring the teams I’ve trained in the past or even having the chance to use certain comps because that Pokémon is absent from the game weakens that experience. But most importantly they are ignoring that potential experience to experiment on gimmicks that will most likely turnout very weak due to it being GameFreak working on the game.
TLDR; It’s time for The Pokémon Company to give the games to another studio
