I think it will be successful enough that Iga will get to make a couple more of these. But it's not going to be huge or anything. If my coworkers are anything to go by a game about a pale victorian goth chick fighting demons with magic powers gets no traction with normies. I've also seen this in reviews where they call the story and lore "uninteresting". Only one other guy at work actually check it out and he's one of us.

It already was financially successful by stealing millions in kickstarter "donations" for it's development.

The final game is just a typical IGA SotN clone. Which there's a certain amount of people who are fine eating the same food every day and will keep buying it. But despite SotN being one of my all time favorite games, I will never support IGA. Because half his Castlevania games were absolute dogshit. And his handling of the series where he never improved or innovated anything is what led to it's eventual death. Why should I support him reviving the series when he'll just make endless clones for decades?

A thing that annoys me about this game is that the monsters in the demon archive are rendered to an offscreen surface that doesn't take the actual screen resolution into account. This means if you are running 1080p or 4k they're displayed at what looks like 720P interpolated to the higher resolution and it looks like shit. This is perfectly fine for a console running at 720P but they need to fucking fix the PC version so that they are rendered at the screen resolution. It's not a deal breaker or anything but I HATE seeing technical fuckups like this.

I guess maybe if you learned to make vidya on consoles you just don't think about things like that.

Dullahammer head is way more OP, at rank 9 you got 5 of them flying around and they seek out and attack unlike the sword which just flies around semi randomly. Getting rank 9 on the shard is also fast and easy because they respawn constantly so all you do and stand there and whack them as they come onto the screen for 5 minutes or less.

Lot of people overlook the dulla head familiar because it seems weak at rank 1. But once fully ranked up it's one of the best.
