They changed their mind and are releasing chronologically. That's why we got Kiwami 2 already with no 6 in sight. The next game is going to be either Y3 remaster alongside PS4 or Judgment (or FotNS, though I wouldn't count on that).

After 3, 4 and 5 get localised and then ported to PC

SEGA have really got themselves in a pickle here. there's no logical order to release these games in without releasing too many at once or leaving them too long to become old

The port should be done by now. But if 6 releases all of sudden without 3-5 would be weird. So they are probably working on releasing those localized on PS4 first

Everything about 6 was half baked, Kiryu lost a ton moves from previous, they cut a ton of side activities, there was a section of kamurocho that they didn't bother to finish (which cut the casino and the coliseum entirely), most of the established cast was MIA despite it being Kiryu's supposed last adventure.
Kiwami 2 restored a lot of that lost content to the dragon engine and while not perfect it was a huge leap from 6.

The PS4 versions of Yakuza 3-5 that came out in Japan are all remasters. They won't be Kiwami-style remakes. Yakuza 4 had the actor for Tanimura changed, but that's the only major difference.

3 4 5 got HD versions in japan already.
I played the demo of 3HD and seeing all those early ps3 stiff animations in 1080p/60 was jarring as shit.
