I've always noticed based combat has always been for less intelligent people. Any idiot can complete something given enough time.

Its not immersive. How am I supposed to be engaged in a combat scenario when the two parties are staring at each other in line, taking turns at smacking each other. The most powerful attacks come in the form of the same short movie playing and then just numbers appearing on a screen, I have tried to understand why people enjoy this style of game but I cant, the people I have know irl that are into turn based anything are easily hurt emotional faggots too so there is also that, I put it down to a personality trait that I thankfully don't posses
