Saw Cleaver for quick stuff. Kirkhammer is obviously the go-to. Probably my favorite weapon in the whole Souls series.

I like DS1's DLC. It felt on par with the quality of the first half of the game, which is nice

It's basically just a physics based vr shooter game. The dev's took notes from the other most popular vr games like pavlov and climby and shit. I'd check out the gameplay footage onYouTube, you can climb ledges and shit and grapple enemies.

Oolacile was fun, but the Royal Woods was kinda a pain in the ass. I don't view the DS1 DLC as any extraordinary leap over the base game, like I do with the Sunken King. Sunken King is honestly the best content in the whole series to me.

Titanfall 2, but it depends on the day of the week. On weekends, don't bother playing, it's all pilot sentries, and spitfires who will then try to call you a hypocrite about calling them out because your using a projectile weapon designed to be a high risk high reward meme gun. If you play on the weekdays after work though, you find loads of chill dudes bouncing around with fun weapons, or at least an SMG. People are courteous with batteries, few tryharding monarchs, almost no campers, etc.

Does Drakengard emulate well? Been meaning to play it.

It didn't age well. It's the type of game you had to play when it launched for it to have any real impact. Kinda like Orcarina of Time, Majoras Mask, KH1/2.

I tested it like a year ago and the first level went pretty well but it hiccuped pretty hard whenever explosions happened

I grew up in the PS1/PS2 era so maybe I can stand it.

It's not about you not being used to the technology. It's more that the impact of the story will not grip you because of the gradual improvements over time. If you played it when it came out it might have been the best game you've played up until that point. Now it just feels like a pretentious ironic weeb indie game if you know what I mean.

It's like how Gears of War was completely original and innovative with chest high walls cover mechanics and that unique bron and grey aesthetics. However it was so popular that every other game of that generation tried to copy it so now Gears of War looks like some generic shit.

That's how drakengard is. It was completely innovative and game changing when it came out but now every single ironic weeb trash game is edgy and shocking in a dumb chuuni way so drakengard looks like one of those hundreds of trash games.

Ignore the dunkass telling you not to play DoD1. It's a one of a kind experience that's aged well enough, and any gameplay problems like the anti-magic enemies can be remedied with the party summons. The tragic themes of the game hold up just well in how genuine it comes across despite how over the top it gets.
