not sure my favorite biome, i have towns im building in nice spots right on the boarders of where two different biomes start touching, all connected through reeeeaaaaly long minecart tracks that cut through mountains and high above chasm and lakes and stuff. very comfy. my favorite town ive got expanding right now is stretching along desert/savanna and jungle off in the distance.

minecraft gets my autism right in the sweet spot. legos in it's ultimate form+survival and grinding aspects. mmmm. even the weird isolated atmosphere when you're deep down underground just works for me.

Are there any good city builder style mods for this? With things like villager routines/resource transport between buildings, maybe some enemies that attack the city, etc.

Not really a biome, but I like finding small clusters of islands just offshore where I can build a tropical paradise. Current project is building a road to connect my current waterfront mansion to the mountain fastness where I intend to build an entire castle complex.

There are like 3 main versions of the game.

Java - The original and the best, has a shit load of tight features, has the best community of them all, and is full of people who actually really like the game. Best version hands down even with it's flaws. Realms is great too for the free month.

Bedrock - Microsoft's version to get it on everything and everywhere. It's Minecraft, but feels off like it was a remade version a group of guys did for fun over a year or two. Cross platform play is available through this version, mircotransactions are available for skin packs, texture packs, and maps. Gamemodes like Survival Games are now official in this version. UI is a mess due to it needing to be on consoles and phones too.

Console Versions marked Minecraft X Edition: Old versions of Minecraft for consoles that are basically Minecraft up to a certain update. 360, PS3, and 3DS versions are examples of this version that are dead completely. Xbox One and PS4 editions are examples of this as they're not really Minecraft, they're older versions of it that aren't for sale anymore. PS4 will likely stay in this version due to cross platform play being a no-no for the Snoy.

I had this idea for an anarchy survival map. Basically, I use /fill to block off a big part of the map with bedrock (bigger than this pic, this was just a test). Everyone in the server has to live within the block.

I also had an idea where instead it would just be everything above sea level that is blocked off, but I don't know how that would work.
