Not him but on day 4 after reporting to the theatre the orderlie on the stage tells you that every day you attend and perform your duties you can go to the town hall and they'll pay you, I got 2k, 2 toast and some fresh meat. Helping out sick people on the street helps as well.

I figured. I only recently played the bachelor in classic and I horded the things but found I didn't need many. About 3 times I needed to cure someone so I had quite a lot at the end. I'll cure her when I get the chance since nobody got infected on day 5, so she's the only infected person.
