Level design is good, plenty of room to play and experiment with the enemies, many routes, lots of environmental clues, many tools at your disposal. You should give it another shot, it is a finely crafted video game.

But that's literally patently wrong. Quiet speaks Navajo to code talker because it's safe for her to do so. She also tries speaking Navajo to Pequod before she decides to sacrifice herself and speak English.
It's also mentioned that the Kikongo strain didn't activate immediately because English is the language typically used to communicate on mother base and only when those soldiers spoke kikongo to each other did the strain activate. Also code talker specifically explains that the parisites respond to the vibrations made speaking that specific language they are tuned for.

And it's specifically vibrations of the air, not the vocal chords themselves because in the Devil's House, the parasites were being activated by tape recorders playing back speech.
